Doug Lloyd

Doug began his career in training in 1970, as a Military Training Instructor at the USAF at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas where he trained Basic Trainees. From then until his retirement the preponderance of his time was assigned to training positions. He worked in the Military Instructor School four plus years where he trained new Military Training Instructors. He was the Course Chief when he left that position. Doug was assigned to Alaskan Air Command Non-Commissioned Officers Academy as an Instructor in the Leadership and Management Division Elmendorf, AFB in 1981, until his retirement in 1985. Doug holds the Master Military Instructor Certificate.

In 1986, he began his second career as a Correctional Officer I at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center. He held many positions including Security Officer, House Supervisor and Institutional Training Officer. In 1993, Doug was selected as a Department Training Officer at the Correctional Academy. In 1995, he was promoted to Academy Commander position.

Doug has been a certified Alaska Police Standards Council Instructor since 1991. He is well versed in Correctional subject matter, Leadership & Management, Sexual Harassment Prevention and Firearms. He currently teaches Methods of Instruction.
