B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Butte Case number: 09-94286 Type: MVC-Injury Text: On 10/18/09, at 1754 hours, AST responded to the Old Glenn Highway near Republican Way for a single vehicle rollover. Investigation revealed, Samuel L. Faller Jr., age 36 of Palmer was northbound on the Old Glenn Highway approaching Republican Way at about 50 mph. Faller lost control of his 1996 Ford SUV on black ice and slid into the southbound ditch where the vehicle rolled and struck a light pole near the intersection. Faller reported wearing his seatbelt. Faller received minor injuries, but was not transported. Damage to the Faller's vehicle was considered a total loss. Damage to the light pole was estimated at $2,500. Murray, age 30 of Wasilla, during a traffic stop on Shady Grove Lane near Vine Road in Wasilla, for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed, Murray was operating a motor vehicle while his driver's license was revoked for a prior DUI. Investigation also revealed that Murray was using license plates that did not belong on the vehicle. The vehicle was towed at Murray's request. Murray was arrested, transported, and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility, bail was set at $1,500.00. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Christopher P. Hasty, age 25, of Big Lake. Hasty was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Hasty was arrested and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial facility where he was later released on his own recognizance. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver. The motorcycle was reportedly taken sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. The investigation is continuing. Investigation revealed that an employee identified as Jason Talbot, (32 yoa of Wasilla) had taken the computer from the store on 10/17/2009. The computer was located at Talbot's residence near Indigo, Wasilla. Talbot was contacted at his residence and was subsequently arrested and charged with Theft II. Talbot was remanded into Mat Su Pre Trial Facility in Palmer where he was held on $1,500 cash or bond bail. Dingness, age 44, of West Virginia, reported to Alaska State Troopers that several items were stolen from a boat near Nelson Lagoon. Dingness reported a 9HP boat motor, a GPS unit, 3 Alaska bear tags, and several camping items were stolen from the boat that was stored near Nelson Lagoon sometime during August of 2008. Dingness did not have any suspects for the theft. Case is closed pending any suspects or leads. Investigation revealed that Glenn Kameroff, age 20 of Aniak, was operating a four wheeler with Brandon Sanbei, age 23 of Aniak, riding on the back. The four wheeler was traveling west on Morgan's road when the four wheeler struck a telephone pole. Both individuals were flown to Bethel for treatment. The investigation continues and alcohol was a factor. Text: On 10/17/09 at 1230 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a Motor Vehicle Collision. Investigation revealed that the juveniles had each stolen approximately $55 of merchandise. The juveniles were released to the custody of there parents. Investigation revealed Jason D. Christian, 38 of Fairbanks, had assaulted his wife and damaged a television inside the residence. Kristina Mary Slifer, age 31 of Fairbanks was struck by Amanda Miller age 17 of Fairbanks, after Miller pulled out in front of Slifer as she attempted to turn left at the intersection. Daniel Rampke, age 26 of Fairbanks, Jason Gainey, age 26 of Alabama, and two children, aged 5 and 9, were passengers of Slifer. All occupants utilized their seatbelts and no injuries were reported. Damage to Slifer's 2008 Dodge pickup and Miller's 1997 Ford Explorer is estimated over $1000 dollars. Miller was cited for failure to yield when turning left. Investigation revealed that Eric A. Graham, age 34 of Kenai, had forced his way into a residence and punched the victim in his face. Investigation also revealed that Graham had made another occupant of the residence fear that she was going to be physically assaulted. A warrant was requested, and issued, for the arrest of Graham on charges of Burglary I, Assault IV and Assault IV (DV). Graham was arrested on the warrant on 10/17/09. He was transported to Wildwood Pretrial pending arraignment. An investigation showed that Katherine Simpson, 44 of Seward, had argued with her boyfriend and threatened him. During the investigation it was found that Simpson had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The warrant was for failing to appear in court on an original charge of assault 4th. Simpson was arrested on the warrant and remanded into the Seward Jail. Charges of assault are being forwarded to the District Attorney's Office on Simpson. The driver was identified as Tracy White, 22 of Seward. During the stop it was found that there was not an insurance policy covering the vehicle. White was cited for driving without insurance and failing to wear a seat belt and released.
