B Detachment Location: Palmer Case number: 09-98531 Type: Felony DUI, DWLR Text: On 11-01-09, at approximately 2330 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a white 1990 Ford truck for a moving violation on Arctic Avenue near Alaska Street in Palmer. Investigation revealed that the driver, Ben N. Meyer, age 38, of Palmer was driving with a revoked driver's license and while under the influence. Meyer had three prior DUIs. Meyer was subsequently arrested for Felony DUI and DWLR. Meyer was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded to their custody. Bail was set at $5000.00 C/C. Investigation revealed that Carmel Adams, age 72 of Talkeetna, died of natural causes. Comfort 1 paperwork was on file. Next of Kin was present on scene and no foul play is suspected. The State's Medical Examiner was notified and Adam's body was released to the family. Investigation revealed that Jennifer Robinson, age 37, of Wasilla was at the stop sign on Double B St. in her green 1993 Ford pickup when she turned left onto Palmer-Wasilla Highway colliding with an eastbound brown 1981 Chevy Blazer driven by Crystal Bryant, age 24, of Wasilla. All parties reported wearing their seatbelts. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,000.00. Investigation revealed that Norton was intoxicated and would not leave Moxie's residence. Norton continued to cause a disturbance until the VPSO arrived at the Moxie residence. Further investigation revealed that Norton was on Felony Probation for a prior felony assault in 2006. Norton was arrested and transported to the Dillingham Jail pending his arraignment. Richard Randolph Sierer JR, age 32 of Fairbanks was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center for DUI after it was learned that he had been driving while under the influence of alcohol. Investigation showed that Hrinkonich was driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and taken to the Fairbanks Youth Facility. He was also charged with an additional unrelated crime, and cited for Minor Consuming Alcohol, and Minor Operating a Vehicle After Consuming Alcohol. His 16 year old male passenger was also charged with an unrelated crime. When juveniles are charged with driving offenses, such as DUI, they are prosecuted as adults for those offenses. Part of Aleksandr's conditions of probation is that he is not allowed to consume alcohol or be where alcohol is sold. Aleksandr ran into the woods to avoid being taken into custody. The moose was salvaged by a local charity. Investigation showed that a 1999 red Chevy pickup driven by Brandy L. MCLEAN, 34 of Delta Jct., made a left turn onto Reeve Rd. off of Jack Warren Rd. When the red Chevy was turning left, it was struck by a 1996 green Dodge pickup being driven by Glen C. COTTON, 44 of Delta Jct., as the green Dodge was attempting to pass to the left. An inspection at the scene revealed that the left rear turn signal and brake light on the red Chevy pickup was not illuminating when activated. MCLEAN was cited for the inoperable turn signal. There were no injuries, and the damage to both vehicles was minimal to moderate. All passengers were wearing seat restraints. Totemoff Jr. age 42, of Anchorage, AK. contacted Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Cordova Post to report that he had lost his drift gillnet while fishing in the Copper River Flats area. Investigation revealed that Totemoff had set his net and went to sleep for approximately 7 hours. When he awoke he discovered that his net had separated from his vessel and was missing. Totemoff was charged for not personally supervising the immediate operation of his gillnet and was summoned to appear in Cordova district court for arraignment on 11-25-09. Incident to the arrest, Sage was found to have approximately 1/2 ounce of Marijuana hidden on his person. Sage was transported to and lodged at the Kotzebue Regional Jail, and held pending arraignments. BHP contacted Cylene Feddersen, age 49 of Kenai, in a 1997 Ford Escort at Midway Drive and the Sterling Highway. Feddersen was subsequently arrested for Felony Driving Under the Influence. Feddersen was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial Facility and charged with Felony Driving Under the Influence and Felony Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test and held without bail. Feddersen's vehicle was impounded to Soldotna AST as a result of the Felony DUI charge.
