Donovan (age 47 of Wasilla) on a traffic stop at Parks Highway and Church Rd, Wasilla. Donovan was operating a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass sedan northbound on the Parks Highway when she was stopped for not wearing her seatbelt. Investigation revealed Donovan was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Donovan was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving with a Suspended License and was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was remanded into custody. Bail was set at $250. Investigation revealed David Chatterton (age 70 of Palmer) was driving his 2006 Jeep SUV eastbound on Blue Lupine Drive when he turned left into the path of a 1992 Subaru wagon being operated westbound on Blue Lupine Drive by Daniel Saputski (age 32 of Wasilla). Chatterton was issued a citation for Failure to Yield When Turning Left. Both parties were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision and no injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1500. The subject had also damaged property at one of the residences. AST located a male subject, who was later identified as James Paul Crocker, age 30 of Wasilla, near the area after he threw a wood log at one of their vehicles, and who also matched the description given by the victims. Crocket was arrested and charged with Burglary I, Assault IV, Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief IVx2 and Resisting Arrest. He was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded into their custody. Bail was set at $15,000 cash only and court approved third party. Troopers arrived on scene and contacted Kyle W. Mercer, age 21 of Wasilla, in the front driver seat of a 1984 blue Chevy Celebrity. Investigation revealed that Mercer had been operating the vehicle under the influence and impaired by alcohol. Mercer also had a revoked driver's license. Mercer was arrested for DUI and DWLR and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was remanded into custody and held on $1,500.00 bail. Commack reported her boyfriend had stolen her marijuana and she wanted him removed from her residence. Further investigation resulted in Commack being arrested for one count each of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance VI, Assault IV, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor II, and violating her conditions of probation. Investigation determined that Leonard Knox, 34, of Kivalina assaulted a family member which resulted in the victim receiving minor injuries. Troopers and the Kivalina village police officer attempted to locate Knox without success. An arrest warrant for Knox was subsequently issued by the Kotzebue court. Investigation revealed Donna G. Petri, 43 of Ft. Wainwright, was traveling north on the Steese Highway in her 2010 Mazda CX7, when a cow moose crossed over the median barrier and Petri's vehicle collided with the moose. Petri was not injured in the collision and she was wearing her seatbelt. The moose was given to a charity to be salvaged. The vehicle was a total loss. AK Bureau of Investigation ---------------------------------------- Location: Fairbanks Case number: 09-100070 Type: Elude Police Officer/Shooting Incident Text: On 11/6/09, at approximately 2022 hours, an Alaska State Trooper assigned to work in the Fairbanks area initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 Suburban on Van Horn Road near Fairbanks. The driver of the vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit began which ultimately resulted in the Trooper shooting the suspect. The suspect was injured and is currently receiving treatment for his injuries at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital - he is expected to recover. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident. The name of the Trooper involved is being withheld for a period three business days while the incident is under investigation. Misinformation was initially given out to media regarding this incident To clarify, at no point during the eluding was the trooper fired upon by the suspect. Alaska State Troopers Bureau of Highway Patrol, Kenai Peninsula Team, responded and found the vehicle, a teal 2009 Chevy Aveo, near mile 91 Sterling Highway, and conducted a traffic stop on it. Ensuing investigation found that the operator of the vehicle, Kim Beyering, 49 of Soldotna, was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Beyering was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility on $500 bail. Ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of Townsend for Disorderly Conduct and Drunk on Licensed Premises, and the arrest of Vass for Drunk on Licensed Premises. Investigation revealed that Danica Fabiano (22 YOA of Anchorage) was driving her 2003 Chevy pickup eastbound on the Glenn Highway when she lost control of the pickup and struck a rock wall head on. The vehicle rolled and came to a rest on it's top. Fabiano was able to get out of the pickup on her own prior to EMS arriving. Fabiano was transported to the Mat Su Regional Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. The pickup was totaled in the collision. Alcohol is a factor in the collision, the investigation is continuing. The driver was identified as Tracy Comer (38 YOA of Wasilla). Investigation revealed that Comer was driving with a revoked license. Comer also had a no bail warrant for his arrest for failure to remand and serve time, original charge promoting contraband. Comer was arrested and booked into the Mat Su Pre Trial Facility on the warrant and the DWLR charge, where he was held without bail.
