    On 01-09-2018 at 0946 hours, AST Dispatch received report of a theft from a home under construction in the Palmer area. Troopers from Palmer responded to investigate. Investigation reveals someone broke into a residence under construction that was unoccupied sometime between 2100 hours last night and 0800 hours this morning and took approximately $2,200 worth of materials including power tools, plumbing fittings, a microwave and a toilet.  The investigation is ongoing.

    On 1-9-2018 at about 1235 hours, MATCOM was notified by a concerned neighbor for AST to conduct a welfare check on an elderly gentleman across the street. Troopers arrived at a residence on Tanana and located 80 year old Wasilla resident Joseph Lawyer deceased. SME was notified and responded to recover the deceased. The next of kin were located and notified of Lawyers passing

    On 1/9/2018 at approximately 0832 hours, a teal 1997 Nissan Sentra sedan was reported to be stolen from the owner's residence in Palmer.

    On 1/10/2018 at approximately 0100 hours, AST located the stolen Nissan Sentra vehicle while patrolling the Walmart parking lot in Wasilla. An investigation revealed April D. Murray, 32 YOA of Big Lake, was the driver of the stolen vehicle. Murray was arrested for Vehicle Theft in the First Degree. Murray was remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial in Palmer. The vehicle was released to the owner.

    Type: Disturbance/Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01-10-18 at 2024 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a disturbance at a residence located on Esro Road. Investigations led to John Robert Paul, 51 of Eagle being transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center for sleep off. Margaretta Marie Hoffman, 55 of Fairbanks was also arrested and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center for two outstanding arrest warrants.

    On 01-09-18 at 2333 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at near the area of University Avenue and Airport Way. Investigation led to the arrest of Douglas Gideon Donovan Felix, 31 of Arctic Village for one count of Violation of Conditions of Release. Felix was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

    On 12-29-17 at 0418 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Lakeview Terrace. Investigations led to the arrest of Savanna Berdine Yoder, 27 of Fairbanks on two counts of Assault in the Fourth Degree. Yoder was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

    Location: Seward
    Type: Aircraft Collision

    Dispatch Text:

    On January 7, 2017 at approximately 1610 hours, the US Parks Service notified AST of an aircraft collision after the fact.  Investigation revealed Frederick Marolf, 33 YOA of Seward, and his mother Jane Marolf, 54 YOA of Seward, left Seward in Fredrick’s 1955 Piper PA-22.  During the flight, the plane began experiencing mechanical issues.  Frederick was able to land the aircraft on the beach at Bear Glacier.  While operating the plane on the beach the plane hit a soft spot in the gravel, causing the front of the plane to nose-dive into the gravel and resulted in minor damage to the plane.  Frederick was able to contact a friend who used their personal boat to pick up Frederick and Jane.  They transported both of them back to Seward.  Frederick and Jane were both okay and reported they did not sustain any injuries during the incident.  The NTSB and the FAA were notified of the incident.

    Type: Violate a Domestic Violence Protective Order

     01/09/2017, at approximately 2019 hours Alaska State Troopers received a report that Richard Nadeaun, 56, of Ninilchik, violated a Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO).  Investigation revealed that Richard Nadeau contacted the Petitioner (protected person) in violation of the DVPO. Nadeau  was arrested and transported to Homer Jail.

    Location: RAZDOLNA

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/10/2018 at approximately 0005 hours, AST Dispatch received a report of a unconscious and unresponsive male. Medic units from Kachemak Emergency Services as well as State Troopers were dispatched to the residence. Medics arrived on scene and attempted life saving measures however they were unsuccessful.  Investigation revealed Sergey Serebrekoff, 63, of Razdolna passed away of natural causes. The body was released to the family.
