AK17074316Location: NaukatiType: Abandonment Unlawful
On January 5, 2018 at about 4:30PM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted 35 year old Tina Williams in Naukati. Williams was contacted in reference to two unlawfully abandoned vehicles on Prince of Wales island she had failed to remove since July 2017. Williams was issued two misdemeanor citations in reference to the vehicles.

AK18001232Location: WasillaType: Probation Violation
On 01/06/18, at approximately 0230 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Foxworth Drive in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Jeremy Estes, age 35, of Wasilla, committed a probation violation by consuming alcohol. He was arrested, remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial, and will face arraignment later in the day.

AK18001231Location: FairbanksType: Probation Violation
On January 6, 2018 at approximately 0154 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on JJC595 with driver Kevin Rice, age 50 of Fairbanks. Kevin was found to have consumed alcohol earlier in the night. Kevin was on probation for Assault III reference 3AN-13-13023CR, and is not supposed to consume alcohol or operate a motorized vehicle. Kevin was arrested at the request of the Probation Office, and was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

AK18001241Location: FairbanksType: Assault III/Assault IV/Probation Violation
On January 6, 2018 at approximately 0341 hours, AST received a call that a female had been assaulted by her fiancé. AST responded and contacted Gene Brown, age 58 of Fairbanks. The investigation revealed Brown had assault his fiancé, and was arrested for assault III and assault IV. Brown was transported and remanded at Fairbanks Correctional Center with no bail.
While AST was on scene, Troopers contacted Antony Bean, age 27 of Mountain Village. Bean was discovered to be on felony probation for criminal negligent homicide. Bean was not to consume alcohol or be in a residence where alcohol was consumed. Bean was arrested at the request of the Probation Office, and was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

AK18001196Location: SoldotnaType: Criminal Mischief 3, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of a Damage Only Collision
On 01/05/18, at approximately 2056 hours, Soldotna AST responded to the Duck Inn in Soldotna following a report of a male in a two tone Chevy Suburban having rammed several vehicles. The male operating the Suburban had been asked to leave the bar premises just prior to the incident. The suspect left the parking lot in the Suburban and was reported to be driving towards Kenai on Kalifornsky Beach Road. The vehicle was located driving towards Kenai on Bridge Access Road and stopped. The suspect driver of the Suburban was identified as William Cloer (61) of Kenai. Subsequent investigation revealed that Cloer rammed his vehicle into four vehicles parked in front of the Duck Inn. The total damage is estimated to be well into the thousands of dollars. Cloer was arrested for Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, Reckless Driving, and Leaving the Scene of a Damage Only Collision and remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility without bail. Cloer’s Suburban was towed away from the scene of the traffic stop.

AK18000989Location: SewardType: Attempted Burglary, Criminal Mischief 4
On 1/5/18 at approximately 0828 hours, Mica Vanbuskirk reported an attempted burglary at Stormchasers Marine on Lowell Point Road. Investigation revealed an unknown person attempted to enter the business during the early morning hours on 1/5/18 and damaged the building during their attempt. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers in Seward at 224-3346. Investigation continues.

AK18000097Location: Johnstone BayType: SAR
On January 1, 2018 at approximately 1312 hours, Coast Guard District 17 contacted the Alaska State Troopers to report they received an ELT locator beacon plotting in Johnstone Bay. The Coast Guard launched an MH-60T helicopter to the area. At approximately 1505 hours the Coast Guard advised they located the individual and identified him as Kurt Stenehjem, 66 YOA of Anchorage. Investigation revealed Kurt was flying to a cabin in Johnstone bay when his plane went down partially in the water on the beach. Kurt indicated he was uninjured and not in distress. Kurt declined any further assistance from the Coast Guard and AST. Kurt arranged his own travels out of Johnstone Bay. The NTSB was notified of the incident.

AK18000893Location: KasilofType: Criminal Mischief DV
On 1/4/17 at approximately 1613 hours, Soldotna based Alaska Troopers received a disturbance call in the area of Cohoe Loop Rd. in Kasilof. Investigation revealed Chachee Janssen, age 38 of Kasilof, had thrown a rock through the driver side window of their pick up truck. Janssen was arrested for Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree. Janssen was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial where she was held without bail.

AK18001212Location: Daisy Mae Ave, NikiskiType: Criminal Mischief 5th -DV
On 1-5-17 at 2302 hours, AST responded to Daisy Mae Avenue to a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival investigation revealed a male identified as Dillon L. Peterson, age 20 of Kodiak was in an argument with his father and broke a window out at his the residence. Peterson fled the scene prior to AST arrival. Peterson was located at a separate residence in Kenai and he was arrested for Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree, Domestic Violence. Peterson was transported to CPH where he was treated for minor injuries and medically cleared. Peterson was transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was remanded and is currently being held without bail.

AK18001233Location: SewardType: Assault 4
On 1/6/18 at approximately 0229 hours, Spring Creek Correctional Center reported to the Alaska State Troopers an inmate on inmate assault. Investigation revealed two inmates assaulted one inmate causing non-life threatening injuries. Charges of Assault 4 will be forwarded to the District Attorney for review.

AK18001327Location: HopeType: Abandonment Unlawful
On 1/6/18 at approximately 1441 hours, Alaska State Troopers issued a Misdemeanor Citation to Antoinette Lee, age 54 of Anchorage, for Abandonment Unlawful. Lee's vehicle crashed into a guardrail on 12/23/17 near mile 55.0 of the Seward Highway. Lee was given several warnings to have the vehicle removed and did not comply with the warnings. The vehicle was towed on 1/6/18 by AST.
