  • AK19000975

    Location: Ketchikan
    Type: Warrant Arrest, Hindering Prosecution I, MICS IV, VCOR (3 counts)

    Dispatch Text:

    On January 4, 2019, at about 1309 hours, Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers and a US Forestry Law Enforcement Officer contacted 34 year old Angelina McDonald of Ketchikan, at a residence near mile 8 of the North Tongass Highway.  Subsequent investigation revealed McDonald was in violation of her court ordered conditions of release.  Further investigation revealed that McDonald was aiding Jason Simpson, age 35 of Ketchikan, in avoiding apprehension who had multiple outstanding felony warrants for his arrest.  Simpson was taken into custody on the warrants and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center.  McDonald was taken into custody and charged with Hindering Prosecution in the 1st Degree, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, and 3 counts of Violating Conditions of Release.  Both were held pending arraignments.

    Location: Wasilla
    Type: Eluding

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/03/2019 at approximately 0159 hours, Alaska State Troopers attempted to stop a 4-wheeler which was operating on the Parks Highway as it turned onto S. Elizabeth Street, Wasilla.  The 4-wheeler took off a high rate of speed running stop signs and ignoring the Trooper’s lights and siren.  The traffic stop was terminated, and the 4-wheeler continued.  Troopers were able to follow the 4-wheeler tracks; eventually locating it at a residence off of Mission Hills Drive in  Wasilla.  Troopers positively identified Jeremy Schulz, age 38 of Wasilla as the driver and located the 4-wheeler hiding behind a truck on the property.  Troopers were unable to positively identify who owns the 2016 red Arctic Cat 500 so it was impounded pending proof of ownership.  Schulz was issued a criminal citation with a mandatory court date for Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer 2nd.  Anyone with information regarding the Arctic Cat is encourage to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 352-5401 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/6/19 at approximately 0013 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a physical altercation located on S. A Court, in Big Lake. Investigation determined Jonathon Zacharyasz, age 28 of Big Lake, recklessly caused minor physical injury to a household member. Zacharyasz was subsequently arrested for Assault 4th degree and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held pending arraignment.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/5/2019 at approximately 2114 hours, Matcom dispatch received an open line 911 call with a disturbance heard in the background. A male was heard threatening to assault a family member. AST responded to a residence off of King Arthur Drive in Houston and contacted Mitchell Brummer, 56 YOA of Houston. An investigation revealed Brummer placed a family member in fear. Brummer was arrested for Assault in the Fourth Degree and remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial in Palmer.

    On 1/6/2019 at approximately 0035 hours, AST responded to a disturbance on S Cardiff Lane in Wasilla. An investigation revealed Anna Noonameo Ivanoff, 53 YOA, was intoxicated thus violating her conditions of release, original charge Disorderly Conduct. Ivanoff was arrested for VCOR and remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial in Palmer. Bail O/R.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01-06-19, at 0125 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address on Wasilla Fishhook Rd for a reported physical disturbance. Investigation on scene determined Robert E. Sutton, age 51, of Wasilla placed another family member in fear of physical injuries by his actions. Robert was arrested for assault in the 4th degree. Robert was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held pending arraignment and till sober. A charge of assault is also being forwarded to the Palmer DAO against the family due their actions after the initial incident

    Type: DV Assault in the 4th Degree

    Dispatch Text:

    On January 5th, 2019 at approximately 2144 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report from the village of Manokotak regarding a Domestic Violence dispute. The local Tribal Police Officers (TPO) responded, and conducted an investigation. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Aleksei Reutov, age 39 of Manokotak, for one count of DV Assault in the 4th Degree. Aleksei was held at the Manokotak VPSO holding facility until arraignments.

    Type: DV Assault in the 2nd Degree, Misconduct Involving Weapons in the 4th Degree x 2

    Dispatch Text:

    On January 6th, 2019 at approximately 0328 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report from the village of Manokotak about a disturbance at the Mochin residence involving alcohol. It was also reported to the Tribal Police Officers that there had been an assault, as well as gunshots from the residence. The TPOs responded and subsequent investigation revealed Alexander Mochin, age 39 of Manokotak, had assaulted a family member by strangling them and had fired a shotgun off the front porch while intoxicated. The Alaska State Troopers requested and received an arrest warrant for Alexander Mochin for one count of DV Assault in the 2nd Degree, and two counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons in the 4th Degree. AST responded to the village on January 6th, 2019 and successfully made contact with Alexander, who was placed under arrest for his outstanding warrant. Alexander was transferred to the Dillingham Jail for remand.

    On 1/6/19 Emmonak AST responded to Alakanuk and contacted Ignatius Stanislaus (age 35) of Alakanuk at his residence. Stanislaus had a $3000.00 cash only arrest warrant for 3 counts of Assault in the 4th Degree. Stanislaus physically resisted arrest during the contact and he had to be physically subdued. Stanislaus was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest. Stanislaus was lodged at the Emmonak Police Dept. pending arraignment. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.

    On 1/5/2019 at about 1200 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the Village of Akiachak, for a burglary investigation. The stolen items from the store included pop and candy, valued at an estimated $500.00. An on-scene investigation lead to the arrest of 18 year old Jonsey Lomack, of Akiachak, for Burglary 2 and Theft 3. The pop and candy was returned to the store. Jonsey was remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Corrections Center, without bail.

    On 1/5/2019 at 0900 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of an arson of an 4-wheeler at a residence in the Village of Akiachak. The ATV was a 2018 red Honda 500. It was burned sometime around 0200 hours. The Honda was valued at an estimated $8,000.00. The ATV is a total loss.     On January 5, 2019 at 2245 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received a report of a vehicle stuck in the ditch off Van Horn Road. AST responded, where investigation lead to the arrest of Samuel Myers, age 47 of Fairbanks. Samuel was transported to FCC, where he was remanded for one count of Driving while Under the Influence. His bail was set to $1,000.

    Type: Death Investigation

    Dispatch Text:

    On January 4, 2019 at approximately 4:29 PM, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a male having been found deceased in his residence. Investigation revealed Gary Laughon, age 50 of Fairbanks, had last been known to be alive that morning. There were no signs of foul play. The State Medical Examiner's office released the body to Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home requesting the body be transported for an autopsy. Next of kin notification has been made.

    On or about 01/05/2019 22:18 hours, Eielson Security Forces contacted the Alaska State Troopers to report a domestic violence assault on Eielson AFB. Investigation lead to the arrest of Don Brown age 31 of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Don Brown was transported to FCC and remanded for five counts of assault against multiple family members and misconduct involving a weapon.

    On 01/02/2019 at 1116 hours, Trooper received a report of a burglary at a residence on Heddell Street in Anchor Point.  An investigation showed sometime during the night of 12/29-12/30 unknown person(s) entered the residence and outbuilding and stole items from each.  The investigation is ongoing.

    On 01/02/2019 at 1414 hours, Troopers received a report of a vehicle stolen from Dorothy Drive.  An investigation showed a 1995 Subaru Wagon was stolen from Kristina Owens, 54 of Anchor Point, the previous night.  On 1/4/18 the vehicle was located and recovered.  The investigation is ongoing.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/2/19 at 1007 hours, Troopers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Seaside Farm Drive. During the investigation Christine Effler, 72 of Homer, reported that a pistol had been stolen from the residence. The pistol was last seen in the residence two weeks prior and the current whereabouts are unknown.

    On 1/2/19 at approximately 1626 hours, AST received a report of a collision involving a bicyclist on Ciechanski Road and Standford Street.  AST responded to the scene and contacted the driver of the vehicle, a 17 year old female, and the bicyclist a 42 year old male.  The bicyclist did not suffer injuries and the vehicle had minor damage.  Icy road conditions were believed to be a factor in the collision.

    On 1-6-19 at 1557 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Nikiski.  Investigation revealed Chad Wolcott (46 YOA of Nikiski) assaulted a family member at their residence.  Wolcott was arrested for Assault IV and remanded to the Wildwood Pre Trial Facility.

    Location: Clam Gulch

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1-6-19 at 1134 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle rollover at mile 122 Sterling Highway, near Clam Gulch.  Investigation revealed Jason Hodges (42 YOA of Homer) was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle as he was passing a car.  The vehicle struck a guardrail and went into the ditch where it rolled over.  Hodges suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.  The vehicle was totaled.  Hodges reported wearing his seatbelt.  Hodges was issued citations for No Proof of Insurance and Failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision.

     On 1-4-19 at 1335 hours, Soldotna AST arrived at 43335 K-Beach Road and contacted Pamela S. Amador (63) YOA of Soldotna. An ASPIN check revealed Amador has an outstanding $200.00 Civil Bench Warrant for her arrest for failure to appear to court stemming from a 2010 incident. Amador was arrested and transported to Wildwood Pretrial where she was remanded pending 200.00 Bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/05/2019 at approximately 1410 hours, Alaska State Troopers Girdwood Fire and EMS responded to milepost 71 of the Seward Highway for a reported single vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that Tracey J. Chaney, age 34 of Homer was traveling southbound on the Seward Highway when she lost control of her 2001 Chevrolet Blazer and struck the snowbank on the southbound shoulder of the highway, causing disabling damage to Chaney’s vehicle. Chaney declined transport by EMS and was released at the scene. Webbs Towing responded to the scene and removed the vehicle from the highway.

    Type: Personal Use King Crab - Unlawful Biological Escape Mechanism

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/5/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, conducted inspections of personal use Red King Crab gear in the Juneau area.  Investigation revealed Dakota Law, age 27 of Juneau, was operating a personal use King Crab pot with an unlawful biological escape mechanism.  The pot was seized and later returned to Law.  Law was issued a $120.00 citation in the District Court at Juneau for the violation.

    On 1/5/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Dylan Listberger, age 28 of Juneau, while he was personal use fishing for King Crab in Auke Bay.  Investigation revealed Listberger was operating a King Crab pot with undersized escape rings.  Listberger was issued a $120.00 citation in the District Court at Juneau for the violation.
