    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/07/2018, at approximately 1848 hours, Alaska State Troopers were dispatched to the vicinity of Skyview Drive and Gunflint Trail for a call of a criminal mischief incident.  Investigation revealed that suspect(s) threw an empty bottle through a window at the residence.  Anyone having information about this incident is encouraged to contact State Troopers or anonymously, MATSU Crimestoppers at 745-3333.

    Location: Palmer
    Type: Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/08/2018 at 1040 hours, AST in Palmer responded to a residence on East Jan Circle in Palmer to serve an arrest warrant. Troopers contacted Doug Kreitel, age 58 of Palmer, at his residence and placed him under arrest per the arrest warrant.  Kreitel was transported to Mat Su Pre-trial where he was remanded on the warrant for original charges of Assault 3, Assault 4 and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. Kreitel has no bail until he is arraigned.

    Type: Vehicle Theft

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/8/2018. approximately 1945 hours, Alaska State Troopers investigated a reported vehicle theft from a residence on W Lamont Way, Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that at approximately 1930 hours, unknown suspect(s) stole a gold 2001 Pontiac Grand Am at approximately 1930 hours.  Anyone with any information regarding this ongoing investigation is asked to contact either the Alaska State Troopers at 907-373-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 907-754-3333.

    Location: Wasilla
    Type: Theft

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/7/2018, approximately 2115 hours, Alaska State Troopers investigated a reported theft of a wallet and subsequent fraudulent use of credit cards.  Investigation revealed that on on 1/7/2018, approximately 1645 hours, a Wasilla resident had a walled stolen from Three Bears on Knik Goose Bay Road, Wasilla, by unknown suspect(s).  Then, between the hours of 1700 and 2030, three fraudulent purchases were made on the victim's credit cards at various Wasilla area businesses.  Anyone with any information regarding this ongoing investigation is asked to contact either the Alaska State Troopers at (907)373-8300 or Crime Stoppers at (907) 745-3333.

    On 1/8/17 at approximately 0222 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a gray 2001 Saturn for a moving violation. Investigation revealed the passenger Deidre Williams age 42, of Wasilla had an outstanding warrant out for her arrest. She was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where her bail was set at $1,000 cash.

    Type: Harassment (DV), Criminal Mischief (DV)

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/07/2018, at approximately 2022 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address in Wasilla for a disturbance.  Investigation revealed that a 15 year old juvenile occupant at the residence harassed a resident of the home, as well as broke items and damaged the residence.  The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Palmer Department of Juvenile Justice Facility where the juvenile was remanded.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/07/2018 at approximately 1808 hours, AST received a report of a deceased person on S Muskrat St in Big Lake. The investigation revealed a 25 year old female was deceased. State Medical Examiner has taken the body pending an autopsy. No foul play is suspected at this time and Next of Kin has been notified.

    Type: Theft

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/07/2018 at approximately 2124 hours, AST received a call about a Theft at N Williwaw Way in Wasilla. The investigation revealed that a laptop, cell phone and prescription drugs were taken from the residence. The investigation is ongoing at this time. The Trooper are requesting that anyone with information on this to contact the Troopers at 352-5401.

    Type: Disorderly Conduct

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/07/2018 at approximately 2222 hours, AST received a call about a disturbance at W Overby Street in Wasilla. The investigation revealed that Chelsea Cochran, 30 years old of Wasilla, was causing a disturbance at the residence and would not stop yelling. Cochran was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and lodged at Mat-Su Pretrial. She will be released on her own recognizance once sober.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 01/08/2018 at approximately 0218 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on Palmer Wasilla Highway and the Glenn Highway in Palmer for moving violations. Investigation revealed Arthur Warren, age 53 of Palmer, was driving on a court ordered revoked license on the original charge of DUI. The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation for DWLR and released from the scene.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/5/18 at 0955 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that Daniel Alexie, 28, Nunapitchuk, had assaulted his brother and father at their residence in Nunapitchuk.  Further investigation revealed that Daniel had struck his brother a number of times with his fist.  Daniel had also struck his father with his fist and strangled him.  Daniel was out of jail on release from a previous case.  Kevin was arrested and charged with three counts of Assault in the Third Degree and remanded at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel.

    Type: Driving Under the Influence

    Dispatch Text:

    On January 8th, 2018 at 0221 hours, AST observed a vehicle spin out at an unoccupied intersection. AST stopped the vehicle and contacted Gary Salmans, 23 of North Pole. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Gary for Driving Under the Influence. Gary was transported to Fairbanks Trooper Post and later remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was shortly released.

    Type: Driving Under the Influence / Assault in the Second Degree

    On January 7th, 2018 at 0200 hours, AST dispatch received a report of a possible Domestic Assault. Multiple units responded and the investigation resulted in the arrest of Tommielee Matthews, 31 of Fairbanks for Driving Under the Influence and multiple counts of Domestic Assault. Tommielee was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

    Location: Nikiski
    Type: Motor Vehicle Collision

    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/7/18 at 1250 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision at mile 16 Kenai Spur Highway in Nikiski. Investigation revealed James Mika, 34 of Nikiski, was operating a 1998 GMC Yukon northbound on the Kenai Spur Highway and was in the process of turning right onto Sandy Lane when he was struck on the passenger side by a 2008 GMC Sierra 3500 operated by Sean Lucas, 42 of Kenai, who was also traveling northbound and had not realized the Yukon was slowed or turning.  Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported.

    On 01/06/2018 at approximately 1705 hours, an adult male arrived at the Soldotna Alaska State Trooper Office in regards to reporting a possible violation of conditions of release.  On 01/07/2018 investigation revealed George Carpenter 23 of Soldotna committed the crime of Unlawful contact along with two separate counts Violation of Conditions of Release in Kenai Court case number 3KN-17-01516CR. George Carpenter was arrested and transported to Wild Wood Pre-Trial facility pending arraignment.
