AK18073400Location: KetchikanType: MICS 4 x3
On 10/09/2018 at about 1710 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Kolten Tipton, age 30 of Klawock at the Ketchikan International Airport after receiving information that Tipton would be in possession of narcotics. Investigation revealed that K. Tipton in possession of Methamphetamine, Heroin, and a Non-Prescribed Medication. Tipton was arrested for three counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree.

AK18073534Location: PalmerType: Warrant Arrest
On 10-10-18 at about 1015 hours, Alaska State Troopers at Palmer Judicial Services contacted Jesse G. Pyhala, age 38 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Pyhala wanted to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant -$1000.00 (Original charge - Criminal Mischief 3rd degree). Pyhala was arrested on the warrant and transported/remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.

AK18073478Location: PalmerType: Warrant Arrest / Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance
On 10-10-2018 at approximately 0641 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted a vehicle stuck in the ditch on the Glenn Highway near E. Inner Springer Loop. Investigation revealed the driver Brian Bates, age 40, of Anchorage had an active warrant for his arrest for failure to appear for arraignment. Further investigation revealed Bates was in possession of a controlled substance. Bates was arrested, transported, and remanded to MatSu Pretrial where he was held on $1500 bail. Charges for misconduct involving a controlled substance will be forwarded to the District Attorney's Office.

AK18073645Location: WasillaType: Motor Vehicle Collision Damage
On 10-10-2018 at approximately 1552 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway at N. Luke Street in Wasilla. Investigation revealed a vehicle traveling westbound on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway collided with a vehicle turning on to Palmer-Wasilla Highway from N. Luke Street. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to disabling damage. The eastbound lane of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway was shut down for approximately 30 minutes.

AK18073676Location: Big LakeType: Warrant Arrest
On 10/10/2018 at approximately 1910 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Beaver Lake Rd. in Big Lake for a public assist. Investigation revealed James Keene, age 39, of Big Lake had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Assault 4. Keene was arrested at the scene and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial where bail was set at $200 cash.

AK18073444Location: SterlingType: Arrest Warrant
On 10/9/2018 at approximately 2309 hours, State Troopers received two calls from passing motorists reporting a male waving down traffic at milepost 76.5 of the Sterling Highway. AST located the male in the area, who was later identified as Ryan James Earle, age 24, of Anchorage. Investigation revealed Earle had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for Failing to Comply with Court Ordered Treatment, original charge of First Degree Vehicle Theft. Earle was taken into custody and transported to Wildwood Pretrial, with a $10,000 bail.

On 9-30-18 AWT was conducting a patrol in Prince William Sound and contacted Michael Galyon, age 44 of Anchorage on Green Island. Galyon was issued a citation for a $160 Harvest Ticket Violation and released.

AK18069871Location: Denali HighwayType: Community Harvest Violation
On 9-24-18 AWT contacted Donald Spears, age 60 of Gakona near mile 1 Tok Cut-Off. Investigation determined that Spears had violated the conditions of his CM300 moose permit by fail to report his harvest within the required time limit. Spear was issued a citation for a Condition of Permit Violation and released.

AK18072706Location: KetchikanType: No Bio-Degradable Escape Mechanism
On 10/9/2018 AWT issued citations to Amos Hudson, 35 of Ketchikan, and Bruce Johnstone 41 of Ketchikan, for failing to have proper bio-degradable escape mechanisms on their personal use shrimp pots. The violation carries a set $110.00 fine.
