    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/11/2017 at about 2123 hours, AST contacted a suspicious vehicle parked in the Ketchikan Airport parking lot.  Investigation revealed that the driver, Erik Swenson, age 34 of Ketchikan was in possession of Methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with distributing narcotics. Swenson was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail.  AST would like to thank Ketchikan Police Department for their assistance with the investigation.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/12/17 at approximately 1823 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence on N Tiffany Dr in Palmer. Investigation revealed Breanna Erwin, age 22, of Palmer assaulted two people in the residence. She was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where her bail was set at no bail.

    On 10-12-2017 at approximately 0015 hours, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance in the village of New Stuyahok.  An investigation disclosed Cohen Acovak, age 20, of New Stuyahok placed a family member in fear of being assaulted and also physically assaulted the same family member.  The New Stuyahok Village Police took Acovak into custody without incident.  Alcohol is a factor in this incident.

    Type: Assault on a PO/MICS 4

    Dispatch Text:

    On October 11, 2017 at approximately 7:00pm, the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks contacted Karlton Steward, age 40 of Fairbanks.  Karlton was on Probation for MICS 4 and was on Conditions of Release for an unrelated MICS case.  Upon seeing AST, Karlton attempted to flee the area and attempted to pull a knife from his pocket as AST was detaining him.  Adult Probations requested a search of his person, which yielded a bag of a white crystalline substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.  Karlton was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center for Attempted Second Degree Assault on a Peace Officer, Fourth Degree Assault on a Police Officer, Fourth Degree Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance, Probation Violation, Violating Conditions of Release, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.

    Type: Attempted vehicle theft/gunshot wound

    Dispatch Text:

    On October 7, 2017 at 0716 hours AST received a report that a homeowner shot at two men who were allegedly stealing a vehicle from private property off of Faultline Avenue in North Pole.  The suspects were later identified as a juvenile male and Conner M. O’Neill, 18 of Fairbanks. O’Neill was hit in the leg and ran away from the scene.  The juvenile male was uninjured and detained by the homeowner at gunpoint until AST and Fairbanks Police Department officers arrived.  At approximately 0725 hours AST received a report that O’Neill was in the hallway of the Middleton Avenue apartment complex attempting to get inside an apartment. AST responded and detained O’Neill until emergency medical personnel arrived to transport him to FMH.  O’Neill was identified as a fugitive from justice out of Texas. Investigation is ongoing.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10-12-17 at approximately 1740 hours, Tok AST conducted a traffic stop on a truck for a moving violation. AST contacted 30 year old Tok resident, Cody Kragt. Subsequent investigation revealed Kragt had no insurance on his truck. Kragt was issued a misdemeanor citation with a future court date and released from the scene.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/12/17 at approximately 2112 hours, Tok AST received a report of suspicious circumstances involving a vehicle. AST responded and contacted two people, one of which was 34 year old Dot Lake resident Renee Hendren. Subsequent investigation revealed Hendren to be on felony probation out of Fairbanks. Probations was notified and they stated she was not supposed to be out of the Fairbanks area. Hendren was subsequently placed under arrest for probation violation, housed at Tok AST Post and then transported to FCC the next day.

    On October 12, 2017 at approximately 5:40 PM, the Alaska State Troopers received the report that a female was causing a disturbance in North Pole.  The owner of the residence requested the female be removed from the residence.  Troopers responded and contacted Jennifer Lofrano.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Lofrano for DV criminal trespass 1, resisting arrest, and assault 4.  Lofrano was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was held without bail.

    On 10/11/2017 at approximately 0144 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a red 1988 Ford pickup driving erratically, nearly causing a head on collision, southbound, from milepost 88 Sterling Highway.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Dewey Austria Devera, age 36 of Kenai.  Investigation revealed Devera was driving the truck while impaired and under the influence of controlled substances.  Further, he was in possession of controlled substances and a firearm while impaired by drugs.  He was arrested and charged with DUI-drugs, Misconduct Involving Weapons 4th, Misconduct Involving Weapons 5th and Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances 4th.  He was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility to be held until sober.

    On 10/11/2017 at approximately 1750 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary at a residence off Scout Lake Loop Road.  While investigating that report, a vehicle theft was reported as having just occurred from a nearby residence.  The vehicle, a purple 2009 Buick Enclave was located soon after at a residence outside of Sterling.  Investigation revealed that Seth Adam Perri Fulton, age 29 of Sterling had broken into three buildings in the area of the first incident and stolen multiple items, to include the Buick Enclave.  Also, that property had been destroyed at each of the burglary locations and that he had attempted to burglarize a fourth residence.  Additionally, Fulton was found to be impaired and under the influence of alcohol when driving the stolen vehicle.  Fulton was arrested for two counts Burglary 1st, one count attempted Burglary first, one count Burglary 2nd, two counts Criminal Mischief 3rd, one count Criminal Mischief 4th, two counts Theft 4th, one count Vehicle Theft 1st, four counts Criminal Trespass 1st and DUI.  He was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility and held with no bail pending arraignment.

    On 10-9-17, Juneau AWT was notified that Michael A. Whisenant 63, failed to turn in the lower portion of the moose jaw, a condition of the permit, after he was successful on a moose hunt.    Whisenant was contacted by AWT and issued a summons for violating the permit conditions of the hunt.

    On 10/12/17, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau post, issued Benjamin Fetterhoff, age 24, of Juneau, and Andrew Fetterhoff, age 20, of Homer, summons' for each taking a goat in the Eagle Glacier area of GMU Unit 1C.  The Eagle Glacier area was closed prior to the start of the hunting season by emergency order due to poor weather not allowing Fish and Game to properly survey the area to make sure there was enough goats to prosecute a hunt.  Both were issued summons for the offense with arraignment set for November 2, 2017 at 1100 hours in the Juneau District Court.

    On 09/30/17 at 1600 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Cantwell Post, issued a summons to Dana Marie Vargo, 47 yoa of Wasilla, at mile 68 of the Denali Highway, for failing to remove an antler from the skull plate, or cutting the skull plate in half, before leaving the kill site, of a proxy caribou she took for a beneficiary, as required. Arraignment is scheduled in the Nenana District Court on October 16, 2017 at 1330 hours.

    Type: Warrant Arrest x 2, Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License, Promoting Contraband

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/11/2017, Alaska Wildlife Troopers at Juneau Post conducted a traffic stop on a red Toyota Pickup in Juneau. The Trooper identified the driver as Christopher Glover, age 36 of Texas, and identified the passenger as Angela Malone, age 35 of Texas.  Investigation revealed Glover did not have a valid operator’s license and no proof of insurance.  Further investigation revealed Glover had a $100,000 warrant that was extraditable out of Texas, and Malone had a $150,000 warrant that was extraditable out of Texas.  Glover and Malone were arrested on their warrants and remanded to Lemon Creek Correctional Facility.  Upon intake at Lemon Creek Correctional Facility Corrections Officer located contraband, on Malone, of prescription drugs.  Glover was charged with Fugitive from Justice and Operating a vehicle without a valid operator’s license.  Malone was charged with Fugitive from Justice and Promoting Contraband in the second degree.
