    Text:  On 10-25-2017 at approximately 1140 hours Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan arrested 34 year old Erik A. Swenson of Ketchikan on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Ketchikan District Court. Swenson was taken into custody without incident and remanded to the Ketchikan Correctional Center, bail is $100.00.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/25/17 at approximately 0616 hours AST was notified by the Phoenix Logging camp on Prince of Wales Island that Brian Stanton (64 of Ketchikan) was deceased do to a gunshot. It was reported that they were at Keete Inlet approximately 15 air miles from Hydaburg on Prince of Wales Island. Investigation revealed Timothy Murphy (26 of Ketchikan) had confessed to shooting Stanton and had made multiple incriminating statements to employees of the logging camp.  Murphy was arrested and charged with one count of Murder in the 1st Degree and lodged at the Craig Jail. The next of kin for Brian Stanton has been notified. Troopers have remained on scene overnight continuing the investigation.

    Type: Sexual Assault Against A Minor

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/18/17 at approximately 1952 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to Sutton after Jacob O'dell (17 YOA) called 911 to report he had done something bad.  Subsequent investigation revealed Jacob sexually assaulted an 8 year old family member.  Jacob was arrested and remanded to the Mat-Su Youth Facility but later transferred to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility as the nature and degree of the criminal offense auto-waived Jacob to adult court. Jacob was held without bail pending arraignment.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/24/17, at approximately 2112 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Schrock Rd. and Bull Moose Rd.  Investigation revealed that Eric J. Moses, age 40 of Palmer, lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway caused disabling damage.  Moses and his passenger were transported by ambulance to the MATSU Regional Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.  Alcohol may have a been a factor in the collision and the investigation continues.

    On 10/24/17, at approximately 2108 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on E. Scott Road in Palmer for a welfare check.   Investigation revealed that Donald R. Aide, age 52 of Palmer, assaulted a family member at the location.   Aide was arrested for multiple domestic violence assault charges and transported to the MATSU Pre-Trial Facility where we remanded without bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10-26-2017, Alaska State Troopers with the Criminal Suppression Unit located a suspicious vehicle in the area of Richmond/Blue Ridge, Wasilla. State Troopers Contacted the vehicle and identified the occupant as RACHELLE JESTER (age 34 of Wasilla).  Investigation revealed Jester had a warrant for her arrest for failure to appear on the original charge of MICS4/DWLR.  Jester was arrested and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was remanded into custody.  Bail was set at $100.

    On 10-20-2017 at approximately 1030 hours, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Manokotak.  An investigation disclosed a 17 year old Manokotak residence assaulted a family member.  The incident was referred to the Dillingham Juvenile Probation Office for future proceedings after the conclusion of the trooper investigation.

    On 10-25-17 Emmonak AST contacted Travis Lee (age 27) of Emmonak at his residence. Lee had an outstanding no bail warrant for failure to remand on original charges of alcohol importation into a dry village. Lee was transported to Bethel and lodged at YKCC.

    On 10/25/2017 at 1602 hours, the Alaska State Troopers and a member of the Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Clifton Henson, 31 years old of California, at the Kodiak State Airport.  Henson had an outstanding warrant for his arrest stemming from the original charges of Assault II, two counts of Assault III, Assault IV and two counts of Cruelty to Animals II.  Henson was arrested without incident and transported to the Kodiak City Jail where he was remanded.  He was held on $2500 plus court appointed Third-Party Custodian pending arraignment.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/24/2017 at 1000 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to and investigated a two vehicle collision on Monashka Bay Road at Marmot Drive.  Subsequent investigation revealed that Scott Jones, 48 years old of Kodiak, had been operating a 2003 Dodge Pickup when he failed to yield after a stop sign and entered the roadway in front of another vehicle.  The vehicles collided and both sustained damage.  It was discovered that Jones had been operating the vehicle without a valid driver's license.  He was issued a misdemeanor citation to appear in Kodiak District Court for the charge of Driving without a Valid Operators License.  The other involved vehicle had to be towed from the scene because of disabling damage.  No injuries were reported related to this incident.

    On 10-25-2017, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers assisted the New Stuyahok Village Police with an incident in the village.  An investigation disclosed Cavelila Hanson age 29, of New Stuyahok was entering residences without permission.  Hanson was arrested and remanded to the New Stuyahok holding facility.  Hanson will be released per the bail schedule once sober.

    On 10-26-2017, The Alaska State Troopers received a report of a 39 year old male in New Stuyahok that was consuming alcohol in violation of his felony probation.  At this point the male is not been located in the village and his whereabouts are unknown.  Currently the Dillingham Adult Probation Office is working on a warrant for the males arrest.

    Type: Assault 3rd X2, Assault 3rd X3 on Law Enforcement, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief 4th

    On 10-21-2017 at approximately 0030 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of  an assault in the village of Manokotak.  The incident is being investigated at this time.  Alcohol is a factor in this incident. 

    On 11/2/17, Troopers from Dillingham, a regional Village Public Safety Officer, and members from the Dillingham Police Department responded to a residence on Kokwok road to attempt to locate and  arrest 22 year old Reece Johnson as a result of a investigation by the Alaska state Troopers which revealed Johnson physically assaulted a male subject in Manokotak on 10/21/17.  Johnson was currently on felony probation and has multiple convictions for Assault.  During the apprehension, Johnson, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics physically resisted arrest, damaged property, and assaulted the Law Enforcement personnel before being tased by Law Enforcement.  Law Enforcement personnel suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault some in which required treatment at the local hospital.   Johnson was remanded to the city jail on the above charges.

    20 year old Josephine Decker was also contacted and arrested for Assault III stemming from the orginal investigation in Manokotak.   Decker was remanded to the city jail.

    On 10-26-17 at 0137 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance on Fox Den Drive in Fairbanks. Investigations led to the arrest of Nelle Marie Andrews, 40 of Fairbanks on one count of Assault in the Third Degree, one count of Violation of Conditions of Release, and one count of Unlawful Contact in the First Degree. Andrews was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

    On 10/26/2017 at approximately 0421 hours, Soldotna based Alaska State Troopers contacted Nick Leon Sacaloff, age 33, of Sterling, following a report of a disturbance at the Sacaloff residence. Nick was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the original charge of Criminal Mischief (DV).  Sacaloff was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial without bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/25/17 at approximately 1832 hours Edward Nelson, age 29 of Wasilla, reported to the Soldotna Public Safety Communications Center he was hunting the Arctic Valley area near Eagle River when his wife, Autum Nelson, age 25 of Wasilla, injured herself and couldn’t make it out of the hunting area. The original call was broken and had very limited information. While troopers were working on pinpointing their location to send help, Edward called back and reported they made it out, but now one of his hunting partners, Avii Mafao, age 38 of Anchorage, was missing. Mafao's location was found by a warming fire he created and was near. The Alaska Mountain Rescue Group responded, located Mafao, and escorted him back to the trailhead. Mafao was exhausted and hypothermic but otherwise uninjured.

    On 10/21/17 Glennallen wildlife Troopers contacted Chugiak resident Julie L. Sliker at the trailhead to Haggard Creek.  Investigation revealed Sliker failed to validate her caribou harvest ticket before leaving the kill site.  Sliker was cited into the Glennallen court with a bail amount set at $160.00.

Braga on the Haggard Creek Trail.  Investigation revealed Braga had harvested a caribou and failed to have his 2017 resident hunting license in his possession while hunting.  Braga was cited into the Glennallen court with a bail amount set at $260.00.

    On 10/22/17 Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Glennallen contacted Anchorage resident Christopher C. Seaman.  Investigation revealed Seaman had harvested a caribou near mile 169 of the Richardson Highway.  Seaman had shot from the drivable surface of the highway.  Seaman was cited into the Glennallen court with a bail amount set at $310.00.

Carlson.  Investigation Carlson had left his vehicle and pursued a caribou near mile 162 of the Richardson Highway.  Carlson did not have his caribou harvest ticket in his possession while hunting.  Carlson was cited into the Glennallen court with a bail amount set at $160.00.
