    Dispatch Text:

    On October 4, 2018 at approximately 1605 hrs, Alaska State Troopers contacted 38 year old, Toni Rae Sanderson of Ketchikan near the Plaza shopping center.  Sanderson was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for her arrest.  She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center, where she was held on $500.00 bail for the charge of Violating Conditions of her Release.

    On 10-5-18 at approximately 1945 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Ryan Evan, age 40 of Ketchikan near the intersection of North Point Higgins, and the North Tongass Highway.  A check in APSIN showed Evens had a warrant for his arrest.  Evens was arrested and remanded to the Ketchikan Correctional Center on a no bail warrant.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/4/2018 at approximately 2126 hours, AST contacted Bryant T. Small, 62 YOA of Houston, in a blue Chevrolet pickup at the intersection of Old Parks Highway and the Parks Highway outside of Willow. An investigation revealed Small was operating the vehicle while under the influence. Small was arrested for DUI and remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial in Palmer.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/4/18 at approximately 1839 hours, Alaska State Troopers from patrol and the Criminal Suppression Unit responded to 1642 Williwaw Way in Wasilla for an anonymous tip. AST contacted Lisa Terry age 46, of Wasilla and investigation revealed she had two outstanding warrants out for her arrest. She was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where her bail was set at $3,000 cash.

    On 10/4/18 at approximately 2202 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Ford Explorer for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed Sammi Bradstreet age 31, of Wasilla had an outstanding warrant out for her arrest. She was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where her bail was set at $200 cash.

    On 10/4/18 at approximately 2352 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Halston Ave in Big Lake. AST contacted Cody Ives age 33, of Big Lake and investigation revealed he had two outstanding warrants out for his arrest. He was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where he was held without bail with 10 days to serve.

    On 10/4/18 at approximately 0300 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Halston Ave in Big Lake and contacted Calvin Wolter-Heussner, age 21 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Wolter-Heussner had an outstanding warrant for his arrest on the original charge of Burglary II. Wolter-Heussner was arrested for his warrant and transported to MSPT for remand. Bail was set at $2500.00.

    On 10/5/18 at approximately 0045 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 Ford sedan for an equipment violation on the Parks Highway in Wasilla. Investigation revealed the driver, Joshua Beasley age 29 of Wasilla, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the original charge of DUI. Beasley was arrested for his warrant and transported to MSPT for remand.

    On 10/4/18 at approximately 1839 hours, Alaska State Troopers from Palmer Patrol and the Criminal Suppression Unit responded to Williwaw Way in Wasilla after receiving an anonymous tip.  AST contacted Matthew Buckalew, age 27, of Wasilla who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Buckalew was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where he was held without bail with time to serve.

    On 10/04/2018 at approximately 1757 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Tianna Ray, age 23 of Fairbanks, at a business on Palmer Wasilla Highway.  Investigation revealed that Tianna had two outstanding warrants for her arrest for failure to appear.  Tianna was transported and remanded to MSPT and held on $600 cash bail.

    On 10-05-2018 at approximately 1829 hours, Skyler Bragg, age 37, of Wasilla called 911 asking for help to get into a detox center.  Bragg was contacted by AST while walking on Fireweed Road in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed Bragg had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear arraignment on 08-14-2018.  Bragg was arrested and transported to MatSu PreTrial where he was held on $10 bail.

    On 10/5/2018, Alaska State Troopers responded to Long Lake Road for a report of a man attempting to access a vehicle on a person's property.  A short time later AST contacted Dustin Peters, age 33 of Anchorage, walking on the Parks Highway.  Peters was arrested for Trespass 1st Degree and resisted being taken into custody.  After a short foot pursuit, Peters was arrested for Trespass 1st Degree, Assault 4th Degree, Resisting Arrest and Escape 4th Degree.  Peters was remanded to Mat Su Pretrial where he was held without bail pending arraignment.

    On 10/05/2018 at approximately 0928 hours, AST responded to a residence on Birch View Drive in Wasilla for a report of a burglary. Investigation revealed an unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered a building on the property and stole approximately $1000 in property. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to call Troopers at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/05/18 Emmonak AST contacted Jimmy Aketachunak, 37 yoa of Kotlik. Jimmy was highly intoxicated in violation of his conditions of release in 4EM-18-127CR. Jimmy was arrested and charged with VCOR and transported to the Emmonak Jail to await his arraignment. No bail was set and Alcohol was a factor in this incident.

    On 10/04/18 Emmonak VPSO Martin responded to a reported DV assault. VPSO Martin contacted Patrick Yupanik, 44 yoa of Emmonak. Investigation revealed Patrick placed his girlfriend in fear of being assaulted.  Patrick was arrested for one count of DV assault and two counts of VCOR. Patrick was transported to YKCC in Bethel to await his arraignment. No bail was set and alcohol was a factor in this incident.

    Location: Kotlik
    Type: Boating Accident - Drowning

    Dispatch Text:

    ****UPDATE****

    On 10/5/18 at approximately 1912 hours, Emmonak AST received a call reporting a boating accident occurred in the slough in front of Kotlik. Ignatius Mike's boat was reported banged up and unsecured on a river bend near the village with the motor still running and no person around it. Members of the community began searching the river and surrounding area for Ignatius Mike, age 54 of Kotlik. One of the local searcher discovered Ignatius Mike floating in Kotlik slough about quarter mile from his boat. Ignatius was removed from the water and transported to the Kotlik clinic where CPR and other lifesaving measures were administered.  Approximately 20 to 30 minutes of lifesaving measures were administered when Ignatius Mike was pronounced deceased by the Bethel YKHC-ER doctor on duty.  The next of kin has been notified.  Investigation revealed this was a single person and single boat accident. Ignatius Mike was the sole occupant of the boat and was not wearing a personal floatation device. Ignatius was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to make a sharp turn and ran into the river bank where he was ejected from the boat. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.

    On 10/05/18 at approximately 1915 hours, Emmonak AST was advised of a boating accident in Kotlik. Very little information is available at this time, but one person is confirmed deceased. The name of the deceased will be released once next of kin is notified. More information will be available late afternoon on 10/6/18.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/04/18 approximately 0418 hrs., State Troopers in Togiak received a report of an assault which was in progress at a residence in Togiak. Troopers responded and the investigation revealed that Robert P. Greenley, age 28, of Togiak had assaulted a family member by hitting them repeatedly, and dragging them on the ground causing multiple injuries.  Greenley was arrested and transported to the Togiak Jail where he was lodged on the charge of Assault IV-DV, with no bail until after arraignment. The victim was treated for the injuries sustained.  Alcohol was a factor in this incident.

    Location: Elliot Highway
    Type: Eluding 2nd, VCOR, DWLR

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/04/2018 at 2133 hours Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a gray Jeep for a moving violation at 1 mile of the Elliot Highway.  The driver, later identified as Michael Selburg, age 30 from Fairbanks continued to drive for another almost 5 miles until he finally stopped.  Investigation determined Selburg’s Alaska Driver’s License was revoked from a previous DUI and Selburg was on Conditions of Release.  Selburg was arrested and transported to FCC for Eluding 2nd degree, VCOR, and DWLR.

    Type: Burglary 1, Criminal Mischief 5

    Dispatch Text:

    On October 1, 2018 at approximately 1451 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary of a seasonal residential cabin, located near mile 4 of Seward Highway.  Investigation revealed Charlotte Davenport (26 YOA of Seward) and Dustin Marx (27 YOA of Seward) forced entry into the cabin and committed the crimes of Burglary in the First Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree.  Both Charlotte and Dustin were arrested and transported to the Seward Jail and held without bail.

    On 9/29/18 at approximately 0234 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Bruno Road for the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Cody Brown, age 47 of Seward, assaulted a family member. Brown was arrested and remanded to the Seward City Jail on one count of Assault 4.

    On 10/3/18 at approximately 2044 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of damaged property and theft from Rolf Bardarson, age 58 of Seward. Bardarson reported a vehicle parked at 32569 Old Nash Road had the gas tank drilled and the fuel was stolen. The incident occurred between January of 2018 and now. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $550.00 and the fuel theft was estimated at $50.00. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 262-4453.

    On 10/5/18 at approximately 1623 hours, Alaska State Troopers received the report of a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) near mile 17.0 of the Seward Highway. The vehicle was located and stopped near mile 8.0 of the Seward Highway. The driver was identified as Sheila Nelson, age 36 of Kokhanok. Investigation revealed Nelson was driving while impaired by alcohol. Nelson was arrested for DUI and remanded to the Seward City Jail.

    Type: Sport Fish More Than 1 Line, Over-Limit Non-Pelagic Rockfish

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/3/18, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Quy Lam, age 54 of Juneau, sport fishing for halibut near Point Retreat.  Investigation revealed that Lam was sport fishing with the use of more than 1 line, and had retained an over-limit of non-pelagic rockfish.  Lam was issued a $110.00 citation for sport fishing with more than 1 line, and a $130.00 citation for retaining an over-limit of non-pelagic rockfish.  Both citations were issued in the District Court at Juneau.

    Type: Take Cow Closed Season

    Dispatch Text:

    On 9-14-18, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report that on the evening of 9-13-18, an individual had shot a cow moose accompanied by a calf near 24 mile Petersville Road. Concerned citizens provided the license plates of the two suspect vehicles and investigation revealed that Matthew Cheney, age 19 of Palmer, had shot the cow moose from a vehicle parked on the roadway. Cheney was subsequently contacted and surrendered the meat. A rifle, ammunition, and skinning knife were also seized as evidence. The meat was donated to a charity and Cheney was issued a mandatory appearance summons into Palmer Court for taking a cow moose closed season. Multiple other charges are being forwarded to the Palmer District Attorney's office on Cheney and another member of his hunting party.

    On 9-27-18, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Palmer contacted Donald Hartman, age 53 of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in reference to his self report that he took a sub-legal moose near the confluence of the Susitna and Yentna Rivers on 9-24-18. Hartman's moose antlers and meat were seized and he was issued a mandatory appearance summons into Palmer Court for taking a sub-legal moose. The meat was donated to a charity.

    On 9-12-18, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Palmer contacted Joel Lessard, age 53 of Palmer, after surveillance video placed by troopers revealed he had engaged in dip netting on multiple occasions in an un-named stream in the Knik River drainage near Eklutna. Lessard was issued a mandatory appearance summons into Palmer Court for Prohibited Conduct Generally.

    On 9-12-18, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Palmer contacted Richard Brackin, age 41 of Seward after he self-reported taking a cow caribou off the Denali Highway east of Cantwell on 9-11-18. Brackin's caribou was seized and he was issued a mandatory appearance summons into Palmer District Court for take cow caribou closed season. The meat was donated to a charity.
