    Dispatch Text:

    On October 5, 2018 at about 4:00PM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island contacted 28 year old Wiley Heppe at a residence in Thorne Bay.  Heppe was arrested and transported to the Craig Jail where he was booked and released after posting bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On October 6, 2018 at about 10:30AM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island contacted 40 year old Tanya Bitonti, at a residence in Hydaburg, in regards to an outstanding warrant.  Bitonti was arrested and transported to the Craig Jail where she was remanded, held on $250.00 bail in reference to a Theft III charge and charged with a new charge of MICS IV.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/6/2018 at approximately 0020 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance near Polaris drive in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that Lance Wares, age 30 of Wasilla, had assaulted a family member causing physical injury and damaged mutual property.  Lance was transported and remanded to MSPT and held on no bail.

    On 10/6/2018 at approximately 0245 hours, AST responded to a residence on Edelweiss for follow up. While at the residence, AST recovered two stolen vehicles from Anchorage, and two ATVs. Investigation is ongoing.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/6/18 at approximately 0433 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1989 red Chevy Camaro for multiple equipment violations. Investigation revealed the driver, Clifford Albrecht age 41, of Anchorage had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest with an original charge of MICS 4. Further investigation revealed the passenger Mark Shetters, age18 of Anchorage was in possession of controlled substances. Clifford was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where his bail was set at $250 cash. Mark was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where his bail was set at no bail.

    On 10/5/18 at approximately 1757 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on two vehicles for multiple violations near Foothills and Rangeview Dr in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Heath Olin, age 43 of Anchorage had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest for Escape and an origional charge of Assault 2. Olin was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where his bail was set at $7,500 cash

    On 10/6/18 at approximately 0023 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on John Hale Cir in Big Lake for a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Abraham Weidman, age 55 of Wasilla had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest for an origional charge of Felony DUI. He was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where his bail was set at no bail.

    Type: Burglary 1st X2, Criminal Mischief 5, Assault 4, Fraudulent Use of an Access Device, Theft 2nd X2, Theft 4

    On October 6, 2018 at approximately 1638 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary and theft at a residence on Fox Loop in Big Lake. Investigation revealed suspect Jacob Still, age 36, of Wasilla, fled on foot upon AST arrival. An AST K9 unit was utilized to attempt to locate Still but was not successful. Further investigation revealed Cameron Newland, age 24, of Big Lake, was contacted on scene and arrested on charges stemming from other pending burglary investigations. Newland remanded to MSPT where he was held without bail. Anyone with information regarding Still's whereabouts are encouraged to contact Matcom dispatch at 354-5401. Investigation continues.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/05/18 approximately2216 hrs., VPSO and VPO in Togiak responded to a report of a disturbance near a residence in Togiak.  Investigation revealed that Kelly Gamechuck, age 20, of Togiak was intoxicated, in violation of release conditions from a prior domestic violence assault.  Gamechuck was arrested and transported to the Togiak Jail, where she was lodged on the charge of Violating Conditions of Release, with no bail until after arraignment.

    On 10/06/18 at approximately 1930 hours, Kodiak AST responded to Bells Flats for a report that someone was possibly selling marijuana out of a vehicle. AST was given a description of the vehicle and eventually contacted the vehicle at the American River. Subsequent investigation revealed James Chya and Wesley Brown were in possession of heroin. Chya was on conditions of release from a prior case. Chya was placed under arrest and Brown was issued a summons and released from the scene. Chya was transported and remanded to Kodiak jail and bail was set at $250.

    On 10/6/2018 at about 0317 hours, Alaska State Troopers were notified of an assault in Oscarville.  The following morning troopers from Bethel responded to the village.  Investigation revealed Harry Napoka (age 49 of Oscarville) had caused physical injury to 2 persons.  A records check revealed Napoka had 2 previous assault convictions within the past 10 years, making the current offenses felonies.  Napoka was arrested for 2 counts of Assault 3rd.  He was remanded to YKCC in Bethel with bail to be set at arraignment.

    Type: Assault and Misconduct Involving Weapons

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/6/2018 at about 0804 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Bethel received a report of assault from the village of Akiachak. Tribal police reported Joseph H. Charles, age 22 of Akiachak, discharged a firearm at a dwelling and injured a resident. Troopers responded to the village to investigate. Investigation revealed Joseph fired a rifle into a residence occupied by several men, women, and children, injuring one of the occupants. Troopers arrested Joseph and remanded him to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center without incident on charges of Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Second Degree, Assault in the Third Degree, and Reckless Endangerment.

    ****UPDATE****

    On 10/5/18 at approximately 1912 hours, Emmonak AST received a call reporting a boating accident occurred in the slough in front of Kotlik. Ignatius Mike's boat was reported banged up and unsecured on a river bend near the village with the motor still running and no person around it. Members of the community began searching the river and surrounding area for Ignatius Mike, age 54 of Kotlik. One of the local searcher discovered Ignatius Mike floating in Kotlik slough about quarter mile from his boat. Ignatius was removed from the water and transported to the Kotlik clinic where CPR and other lifesaving measures were administered.  Approximately 20 to 30 minutes of lifesaving measures were administered when Ignatius Mike was pronounced deceased by the Bethel YKHC-ER doctor on duty.  The next of kin has been notified.  Investigation revealed this was a single person and single boat accident. Ignatius Mike was the sole occupant of the boat and was not wearing a personal floatation device. Ignatius was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to make a sharp turn and ran into the river bank where he was ejected from the boat. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.

    On 10/05/18 at approximately 1915 hours, Emmonak AST was advised of a boating accident in Kotlik. Very little information is available at this time, but one person is confirmed deceased. The name of the deceased will be released once next of kin is notified. More information will be available late afternoon on 10/6/18.

    On 10-05-18 at approximately 2135 hours, Kodiak AST responded to a residence to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, subsequent investigation revealed Briana Brown (30YOA) broke a door handle and had consumed alcohol. Brown is conditions of release from a prior case and not supposed to consume any alcohol. Brown was arrested without incident and remanded to Kodiak jail.

    Location: Fairbanks

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/6/18 at approximately 0332 hours AST was contacted by a Lyft driver in the Chena Pump area.  The driver reported an intoxicated, passed out, male passenger, who they did not feel comfortable waking up, still in their vehicle.  AST responded to area and identified the male passenger as Adam Sakkinen, age 28, of Fairbanks.  The investigation revealed Sakkinen was not to consume alcohol per conditions of his release.  Sakkinen was placed under arrest for VCOR and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Facility.  Further investigation revealed Sakkinen brought cocaine into the facility.  Sakkinen was remanded on additional charges of MICS 4 and Promoting Contraband 1, with no set bail.

    Type: Criminal Mischief 3, Criminal Trespass 1, Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/6/18 at approximately 1516 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance on Rensselaer Lane in Soldotna.  AST responded to the scene and investigation revealed Noah Price, 23 of Soldotna, went to a residence that he was previously trespassed from.  While at the residence, Price also damaged doors causing approximately $1,700 worth of damage.  Price was arrested and remanded for Criminal Mischief 3, Criminal Trespass 1 and an outstanding warrant.
