    Type: False information, Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/8/17, at 2221 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted John Cadiente, age 36 of Wasilla, during a traffic stop for a moving violation in Wasilla.  Cadiente initially provided a false identity in an effort to conceal the fact that he had warrants for his arrest.  Cadiente was ultimately arrested on two warrants for Theft 2 and Theft 4 with total bail of $5,100 plus CATPC.  Cadiente was additionally charged with providing false information to a peace officer.  He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on his warrants and the new charge.

    Type: Suspicious vehicle, MICS, Misuse of registration

    On 10/9/17, at approximately 0419 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a Gold Chevy Trailblazer at the intersection of KGB and Fairview Loop after the vehicle was reported as loitering in a residential area, acting suspicious as well as for traffic violations.  Investigation resulted in the discovery of over 10 grams of methamphetamines from within the vehicle as well as yearly tabs on the vehicle which were reported stolen.  The vehicle and occupants were released pending further investigation.  Charges are expected to be forwarded to the Palmer DA's office.

    On 10/9/17, at 1412 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle for several equipment violations in downtown Palmer.  A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Michael Murphy, age 28 of Anchorage, was wanted on a no bail warrant for failure to comply with conditions of probation on an original charge of Criminal Mischief 3 and Resisting Arrest.  Murphy was transported and held at Mat-Su Pretrial.

    Text: On 10-8-2017 at approximately 1800 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Mile 17 of the Old Glenn Highway for a reported REDDI. Investigation revealed John Johnson, age 30, of Wasilla, was operating a vehicle under the influence. Johnson was arrested for Driving under the Influence and refusal to submit a chemical breath sample. He was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial. Johnson’s bail was set at $1000 cash.

    On 10/08/2017 at approximately 1008 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a building in the area of Parks Hwy and Elizabeth Rd in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that the driver, Alexander Neesmith age 35 of Soldotna, left the roadway and crashed into the church. Drugs and alcohol are expected to be a factor. Investigation continues.

    On 10/08/20017 at approximately 0613 the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a stolen vehicle. Investigation revealed in the early morning of 10/08/2017,  a black Dodge Ram pickup and handgun was stolen from the area of Wassim Cir. in Wasilla.

    On 10/08/17, Alaska State Troopers contacted a citizen about a theft of a trailer.  Investigation revealed that sometime during the evening of 10/07/17, or early morning of 10/08/17, suspect(s) stole an older RV trailer that was being used as a concession stand and a coordination center for the ballfields on Kim Drive.  Anyone having information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers or MATSU CrimeStoppers at 745-3333 or mscrimestoppers@mtaonline.net.

    Type: Warrant Arrest / Resisting Arrest & MICS 4th

    On 10/08/17, at approximately 1600 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in vicinity of Lanark Drive in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that the driver, Jacob Knaus age 31 of Wasilla, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  Knaus attempted to resist arrest and had small amounts of controlled substances on his person.  Knaus was transported to the MATSU Pre-Trial Facility where he was remanded, without bail, for the warrant, resisting arrest, and misconduct involving a controlled substance.

    On 10/08/17, at approximately 1500 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the vicinity of N.     On 10/08/2017, at 1420 hours, Mat-Com received a 911 call reporting a single vehicle roll over with unknown injuries near mile 67 of the Glenn Hwy.  Troopers responded from Palmer post to investigate. Initial investigation reveals Travis Goodlataw, age 33 of Gulkana, was driving a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am southbound on the Glenn Hwy near mile 67 when his vehicle entered the ditch and he lost control resulting in a roll over.  He was carrying one adult passenger and two juvenile backseat passengers. Goodlataw and the juveniles were able to exit the vehicle with minor injuries but the female passenger, Norma Gene, age 47 of Tazlina, had to be extricated by first responders. She was sent to Mat Su Regional Hospital by medivac with injuries and the other occupants were transported by ambulance. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

    Type: A3-Felony DV, Resisting Arrest, Warrant Arrest

    On 10-9-17, at approximately 1730 hours, St. Mary's Troopers received a report of a domestic disturbance at a local residence.   Subsequent investigation revealed Alexander Stevens-26 of St. Mary's, assaulted a 25 year-old female and fled the scene.  A short time later Steven's was located and resisted arrest while attempting to take him into custody.  Steven's was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's Jail for remand pending arraignment.  A records check revealed Stevens had an outstanding $500.00 felony warrant for transporting and selling alcohol without a license.  Steven's is charged with one count of Assault in the Third Degree-DV and Resisting Arrest.  Steven's was additionally arrested for the outstanding warrant.

    Type: DV Assault 4th x 3 / DV Criminal Mischief 4th / Escape 4th

    On October 8th, 2017 at approximately 1545 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Dillingham received a call from the New Stuyahok Village Police Department regarding a domestic disturbance at a residence. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Dawson Andrew, age 18 of New Stuyahok, for three counts of Domestic Violence Assault in the 4th Degree, and one count of Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. At approximately 1930 hours, AST was contacted again by the New Stuyahok Village Police Department who reported Dawson had escaped custody when they let Dawson out for a cigarette. At approximately 0545 hours, Dawson was located by the New Stuyahok Village Police Officers (VPOs) and was taken back into custody. Dawson was advised he was also being charged with one count of Escape in the 4th Degree. Dawson was held at the VPSO Office holding cell for remand.

    On October 9th, 2017 at approximately 1330 hours, the Alaska State Troopers (AST) in Dillingham were contacted by the Village Police Officer (VPO) in New Stuyahok who stated they had contacted and arrested Wassillie Chocknok, age 47 of New Stuyahok, for an outstanding warrant. The original charge was for one count of Assault in the 3rd Degree (3DI-17-00261CR). Chocknok was held at the VPSO Office for remand.

    On 10/9/17 at approximately 0700 Alaska State Troopers responded to the LaQuinta Hotel in Fairbanks and contacted Antaeus Gay, age 30 of Fairbanks. Investigation revealed Gay had an outstanding warrant for his arrest on the original charge of Unlawful Evasion I. Gay was arrested for his warrant and transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center for remand. Bail was set at $2000.00

    On 10-8-2017 at approximately 1700 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of K Beach and Poppy to conduct a welfare check on a male laying in the ditch who appeared to be intoxicated.  The male was identified as Warren Eide (49 YOA of Funny River).  Investigation revealed that Eide had a warrant for his arrest in the amount of $250.00 for Criminal Trespass.  Eide was arrested and remanded to the Wildwood Pre Trial Facility.

    Location: Soldotna
    Type: DV Assault 4, Criminal Mischief 5, Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 10/09/2017, at approximately 0045 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence near Mckenzie Street, Nikiski for a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Joshua Canfield age 32 of Nikiski, had an active warrant (warrant #3KN1300758CR) for failure to file community work service paperwork. Canfield was arrest for the warrant and transported to Wildwood Pretrial Facility for the mandatory 5 days without bail. Further investigation revealed Judy Smith age 46 of Nikiski had assaulted Canfield and damaged his property. Smith was arrested for Assault in the 4th degree and Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree domestic violence. Smith was transported to Wildwood Pretrial Facility where she was held without bail.

    On 10/08/2017 at approximately 2122 hours Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near Milepost 20 of the Kenai Spur Hwy. Investigation found George W. Guiles, age 47, of Soldotna, was driving under the influence. Guiles was arrested and remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on the charges of DUI, and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
