AK17080776Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
On 11/13/2017, at approximately 0821 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Williwaw Way, in Wasilla. During the investigation, Troopers contacted Felicia M. Thomas, age 30, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Thomas had two outstanding warrants for her arrest on the charges of Theft 3rd Degree and Operating Under the Influence. Thomas was arrested at the scene on the warrants and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was remanded on a total of $550 bail.

AK17081000Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
On 11/13/2017 at approximately 2039 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Dodge Neon on Vine Road at Raspberry Loop in Wasilla for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed Baythan Cadiente, age 51 of Anchorage, had a warrant for his arrest for Parole Violation on the original charge of MICS 3x3, MICS 4, and False Info. Cadiente was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.

AK17080671Location: WasillaType: DUI, Refusal
On 11/12/2017, Alaska State Troopers in Wasilla responded to a vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of Agate Ln and Hematite Dr in Wasilla. Troopers contacted Trevor Armstrong, age 23 of Eagle River, near a green 2000 Ford F-150 pickup in the ditch. Investigation reveals Armstrong was driving while intoxicated at the time he entered the ditch. Additionally, Armstrong admitted to striking a utility pole near the intersection of Seldon Road and Wasilla Fishhook Road prior to going in the ditch. Armstrong was arrested on the charge of DUI and later charged with Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test after failing to give a sample of his breath for Datamaster. Armstrong was remanded into Mat Su Pre-trial.

AK17077087Location: PalmerType: Missing Persons
Update: On 11/13/17, the State Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy on Keith Aumavae. The SMEO determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma consistent with impact from driving a car off of a cliff. There were no suspicious injuries or defensive type wounds observed on Aumavae’s body. No foul play is suspected at this time. Toxicology test results will not be available for a several weeks. Next of kin have been notified of these findings.
Update: On 11/09/17, at approximately 1650 hours, AST received a report of a vehicle at the bottom of a cliff overlooking the inlet near Goose Bay Airport. Troopers responded and located the vehicle down a 100-foot cliff. The vehicle, later determined to be a 2001 Chrysler Sebring registered to Keith Aumavae was partially covered with silt and only accessible at low tide. On 11/10/17, at approximately 1637 members of the Alaska Mountain Rescue Group (AMRG) assisted Troopers in reaching the vehicle. Human remains believed to be those of Keith Aumavae were found inside the vehicle. The remains have been sent to the State Medical Examiner for positive identification and to determine cause and manner of death. Next of Kin have been notified. The investigation is continuing.
On 10/27/2017 at approximately 1553 hours, it was reported to AST that Keith Ben Aumavae, 30 of Palmer, was missing and was last seen on 10/19/2017. His family is very concerned about his well-being as it is out of character for him to not be in regular contact with them or for him to not be at his Palmer residence for days. Aumavae's vehicle is also unaccounted for. He drives a Silver 2001 Chrysler Sebring bearing license plate KAG300 and is known to frequent both Anchorage and the Valley. Aumavae is approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 380 pounds. He has short dark brown hair and brown eyes. If anyone has any information about Aumavae's whereabouts, they are encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers in Palmer at 907-745-2131 or your local law enforcement agency.

On 11/12/17, at 1721 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a Green Dodge Caravan on Tait Drive for speeding. An investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Lee B. Clifford, 51 yoa of Wasilla, for DUI. Clifford was remanded to MSPT to be released O.R. once sober.

11/13/17 Togiak Trooper and VPSO responded to a residence for a report of disturbance. Investigation determined Robert Ayojiak, 27 of Togiak, assaulted a family member and a non family member. He was taken into custody, held in Togiak Jail pending transport to DLG Jail for arraignment. No Bail

AK17080762Location: Delta JunctionType: MVC- Fatal
UPDATE: The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Jennifer L. Weeks, 43 of Delta Junction. Next of kin has been notified. The incident occurred before daylight hours along a straight stretch of the roadway. It had been snowing at the time of the collision. The motorist reported that he had been driving slower than the posted speed limit due to the snow and diminished visibility. Weeks was believed to be walking in the roadway at the time of the collision. There was a buildup of snow on the road shoulder and there were no visible foot prints in the snow. Drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor. The motorist is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
On November 13, 2017 at 0738 hours a motorist called AST and reported he struck a pedestrian with his 2001 Nissan Altima. The motorist was driving near mile 1401 Alaska Highway when an adult female walked into the roadway and the motorist was unable to stop before hitting her. The woman was killed in the collision, the motorist and a passenger in his car were not injured. AST from Fairbanks responded to assist AST Delta Junction with the scene investigation. The State Medical Examiner’s Office was notified. AST is still on scene investigating this collision, more information will be released later in the day.

On November 11, 2017 The Alaska State Troopers Responded to a reported burglary in progress on Hurst Road in North Pole. Investigation revealed two suspects entered the residence and concealed their vehicle inside the garage as they worked to load construction material and tools from the residence into the van. The subjects also damaged the residence by removing cooper pipe from the residence. The owner of the property then arrived and observed a light on. The suspects inside the residence then got into their van and crashed their way out of the garage in an attempt to flee. Their van collided into the homeowners vehicle and it was disabled as a result of the collision. The two suspects then fled the area on foot. The homeowner was not injured as a result of the collision. This incident is still being investigated.

AK17080728Location: NikiskiType: MVC-moose / DWLS / No Motor Vehicle Insurance
On 11/12/2017 at approximately 2152 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a reported single vehicle collision involving a moose on Island Lake Road. Investigation revealed Cameron Wayne Bruce, age 18 of Nikiski, was driving on Island Lake Road when a moose ran into the side of his green 1998 Saturn car. It suffered moderate damage, but was drivable. Bruce was found to have a suspended Alaska driver's license from a prior offense involving driving a vehicle without insurance. This vehicle was uninsured as well. He was issued a minor offense citation for Driving While License Suspended and a criminal citation for Operate Vehicle without Liability Insurance. The moose was recovered by a charity.

On 11/4/2017 Alaska Wildlife Troopers summonsed Jeff Lund (36) of Ketchikan for failing to salvage all of the edible meat from a Sitka Blacktail Deer. This is a misdemeanor offense with a mandatory court appearance required in the First Judicial District Court in Ketchikan.

On 11/13/17, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Houston Laws, age 32 of Juneau, after an investigation revealed he had applied for and received a 2016 resident combination license when he did not meet residency requirements at the time of application. Laws was issued a $310.00 citation in the District Court at Juneau for making a false statement on a license application.

On 11/13/2017 at approximately 0231 hours, Troopers received a report that Inmate Eliu Ibarra, age 40, of Anchorage, had passed away due to natural causes while in custody at Alaska Regional Hospital. No foul play is suspected. Next-of-kin and the State Medical Examiner’s Office have been notified.

On 11-13-17, at approximately 1316 hours, The Alaska State Troopers Bureau of Highway Patrol stopped on a 1999 Chevrolet pickup for a welfare check on a suspicious vehicle near mile 110.5 of the Seward Highway. An occupant was identified as Jolene Heather Rudolph, age 40 of Anchorage. Rudolph was arrested for an outstanding no bail warrant for failure to appear for a remand hearing on the charge of DWLR. Rudolph was transported and remanded to the Anchorage correctional complex for the warrant held on no bail.
