AK18085117Location: KetchikanType: Burglary/Theft
UPDATE: The Alaska State Troopers and Ketchikan Police Department have been working closely together to investigate the recent string of property crimes in the Ketchikan area. On December 5, 2018, a significant lead was developed in a number of the open investigations and, as a result, a suspect was identified. Subsequent investigation by both agencies led to the arrest of Cody Peters, 32 of Ketchikan. Peters was taken into custody and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was lodged pending arraignment on the following felony level offenses: Burglary in the First Degree, Burglary in the Second Degree, Theft in the Second Degree x 3, and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Third Degree. He was additionally charged with the misdemeanor offense of Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree .
Stemming from this investigation, a search warrant was obtained and served on a condo in Marine View Condominiums. A second suspect has been identified and taken into custody for an unrelated warrant. Numerous power tools and hand tools were seized per the warrant and many have been confirmed as stolen. Troopers and KPD officers will be working diligently to identify the owners of the stolen property so it can be returned to the appropriate people.

Original release: On 11-29-18 at approximately 1042 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan were notified of a theft. Investigation revealed that between 11-28-18 at 1600 hours, and 11-29-18 at 0700 hours, unknown person(s) entered a connex near mile 6 of the North Tongass Highway and removed construction equipment valued at approximately $3000.00. AK18084285Location: WasillaType: Vehicle Theft 1st, Theft 2nd, Trespass 1st
Dispatch Text:On 11/28/2018 at approximately 2131 hours, AST received a report of a stolen vehicle at Big Lake Tesoro. The stolen vehicle left and was last seen turning onto Little Beaver Road. An hour later AST located the stolen vehicle near Alma and Juliana in Meadow Lakes. The suspect fled on foot but was later located in the area. An investigation revealed Zackery Ryan Cornelius-Vincent, 23YOA of Wasilla, was in possession of a stolen vehicle. Cornelius was arrested for Vehicle Theft in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, and Criminal Trespass in the First Degree. Cornelius was remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial in Palmer.

AK18085078Location: HustonType: Assault 4th Degree Domestic Violence
On 11/29/18 at approximately 0659 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of disturbance at a residence in Huston. Investigation revealed 27 YOA Oshia Johnson of Huston, by words or other means, caused fear of serious bodily harm to a family member. Charges are being forwarded to the Palmer DA’s Office.

Dispatch Text:On 11/27/2018, at approximately 1903 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a theft in vicinity of Donna Marie Lane in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that sometime between 1700-2400 hours on 11/25/2018, suspect(s) entered an entryway and stole items from that location. Anyone having information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers or the MATSU Crimestoppers at 745-3333. The investigation continues.

AK18085300Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
On 11/29/2018 at approximately 2116 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Daniel Koeckritz at a residence near Begich Drive. Investigation revealed that Daniel had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failure to appear. Daniel was transported to MSPT and held on $500 bail.

AK18085030Location: NenanaType: Probation Violation
On 11/28/2018 at approximately 1800 hours, AST contacted Clinton Charlie, 36yoa of Nenana during a DUI investigation of another person. Investigation revealed that Clinton Charlie was on felony probation and had conditions prohibiting him from consuming alcohol. Clinton Charlie provided a breath sample to AST which confirmed that he had consumed alcohol. At the request of Adult Probation, Clinton Charlie was arrested for his probation violation and remanded to FCC.

AK18084280Location: NenanaType: Warrant Arrest
On 11/26/2018 at approximately 0747 hours, AST contacted Jaye Ulak, 33yoa of Anchorage, on the Parks Highway just south of Nenana. Investigation revealed that Ulak had an arrest warrant issued for him from the Anchorage court for a probation violation. Ulak was arrested without incident and remanded to FCC on $1000 bail.

On 11/28/2018 AST responded to Nenana to investigate reports of disturbances in Nenana. Investigation revealed that Julia Ann Sunnyboy, 41yoa of Nenena, had assaulted members of the community. Julia Ann Sunnyboy was arrested and remanded to FCC on three counts of Assault 4th. Intoxication was involved.

AK18084319Location: Parks HighwayType: Misuse of Plates / MIW
On 11/26/2018 at approximately 0929 hours AST contacted Fredrick Hancock, 36yoa of Nenana, during a traffic stop near mile 336 of the Parks Highway. Investigation revealed that Hancock was operating a motor vehicle with tabs registered to another vehicle affixed to his license plate. Hancock was issued a summons to appear in court for Misuse of Plates, and also was arrested on charges stemming from a previous incident which found him to be a felon in possession of a concealable firearm. Fred Hancock was remanded to FCC without incident.

AK Wildlife Troopers
AK18084009Location: MintoType: Take Moose Closed Season
On November 24, 2018, Fairbanks Wildlife Troopers were on patrol near mile 93 of the Elliott Highway when they contacted Eric Johnson, age 44, of Fairbanks. Johnson had taken an antlerless moose approximately 3 miles from the nearest open moose hunting area. The moose was seized and Johnson was cited for taking a moose closed season. Johnson has a court date set in the Fairbanks court on December 11, 2018.
