AK19075735Location: Thorne BayType: Assault IV/Criminal Mischief IV
On November 2, 2019, at about 3:15PM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island responded to Thorne Bay after receiving a report of an assault. Investigation revealed 30 year old Jacob Edenfield assaulted a household member and damaged their property. Jacob was arrested for Assault IV DV and Criminal Mischief IV DV. Jacob was transported to the Craig Jail where he was remanded without bail.

AK19075820Location: NikiskiType: DUI / Minor Consuming
On 11/03/2019, at approximately 0210 hours, Dennis "Levi" Poquette, age 20 of Soldotna, called 911 reporting he had driven his vehicle off of a bridge into a creek in Nikiski. He told the 911 operator that he was wet, very cold, and wanted AST to rescue him. AST responded. Investigation revealed Poquette was impaired by alcoholic beverages. He was issued citations for minor consuming alcoholic beverages and minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcoholic beverages. He was arrested for driving under the influence. His breath alcohol concentration was .115%. He was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial.

AK19075801Location: NikiskiType: DWLS
On November 2nd, 2019 at approximately 2340 hours, contacted a tan 1993 Honda Accord at a pull out near S. Miller Loop and the Kenai Spur Highway, Kenai. Investigation revealed the driver, John D. Love was operating the vehicle with a suspended AKOL. Love has 18 convictions for DWLR/S/C making this a misdemeanor. Love was arrested for DWLS. Love was transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility where he was remanded.

AK19075946Location: Anchor PointType: VCOR / DV Criminal Mischief 5th
On November 3rd, 2019 at approximately 1850 hours, the Alaska State Troopers (AST) received a call from Ramona Jorgensen who advised her friend, Logan Lucas, was intoxicated at her residence and causing a disturbance. AST responded to the residence and conducted an investigation. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrests of Logan Lucas, age 25 of Anchor Point, for one count of Violating Conditions of Release, and Iris Strongheart, age 20 of Anchor Point, for one count of Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree. Logan and Iris were transported to the Homer Jail for remand.

AK19075656Location: WasillaType: Death Investigation
UPDATE: On the morning of 11/14/2019 Juan Camarena called the Alaska State Troopers and arranged to meet up at a Wasilla location. Upon contact, at approximately 1130 hours, Camarena was taken into custody without incident on an unrelated arrest warrant regarding federal charges. Investigation continues.
UPDATE: Alaska State Troopers are seeking public assistance in locating 51 year old Juan Camarena. Camarena is a person of interest in the recent triple homicide in Wasilla. Camarena’s last known location was in the Big Lake area. Camarena is wanted for questioning in regards to the triple homicide that took place on 11/2/2019 off of KGB and Knik Knack Mud Shack Road. Camarena is a Hispanic male, six foot 200 lbs. Camarena should be considered dangerous. If anyone has information about Juan Camarena, contact MatCom Dispatch at 352-5401
UPDATE: On 11/5/2019 at approximately 1430 hours, investigators located a body near mile 10 of Knik Goose Bay Road. Investigation determined the tentative identity for the deceased as Alyssa Jimenez, 28 of Big Lake. Jimenez’s next of kin have been notified. An autopsy and positive ID will be done by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
AST has tentatively identified the two other deceased individuals in this case as Michael Attwood, 25 of Big Lake, and Donna Marie Campos, 37 of Wasilla. Next of kin for Attwood and Campos have been notified of the tentative identities. Positive IDs and autopsies are pending by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
All three deaths are believed to be related and are being treated as a homicide investigation. Anyone with any information they believe is related to this incident are asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 907-352-5401.
UPDATE: The State Medical Examiner is conducting autopsies to confirm the identities of the deceased. Identities and manners of death will be released following autopsies and next of kin notifications. A missing person associated with the investigation has been identified as Alyssa Jimenez, 28, of Big Lake. Investigators are concerned for Jimenez’s safety as she was reportedly with the two deceased individuals earlier in the day prior to their deaths. The circumstances regarding Jimenez’s disappearance are unknown. Anyone with information about Jimenez’s whereabouts or this case is asked to contact Troopers.
11/03/2019, Alaska State Troopers are Investigating the death of two persons, a male and a female, off of Knik Knack Mud Shack Road in Wasilla. Anyone with information related to these deaths should call MatCom Dispatch at 352-5401. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details are available at this time.

On 11/03/2019 at approximately 0047 hours, AST received a report about a domestic disturbance near the area of W. Douglas Lane and S. Knik Goose Bay Drive. Parties involved were located and interviewed. Investigation revealed Eric Nuglene, age 20 of Wasilla, was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Eric was placed under arrest and transported to MSPT where he was remanded, bail was set at his own recognizance. Charges for Disorderly Conduct will be forwarded to the DAO for review.

AK19075737Location: WasillaType: Theft II (X2), Misconduct involving a controlled substance V, and Misuse of Plates
On 11/02/2019 at approximately 1415 hours, Received a report of stolen motor home on the Parks Highway in Wasilla. The investigation revealed Matthew Unger, age 61 of Anchorage was possession of two stolen firearms, and controlled substance. Unger was taken into custody and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was remanded without bail.

AK19075736Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
11/02/2019, at approximately 1516 hours, Alaska State Troopers was conducting a unrelated investigation when Trenton Vogt, age 38 of Wasilla, was contacted on KGB in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Vogt had a warrant for $1000.00 on the original charge of MIW 3. Vogt was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-trial where he was held on $1000 cash bail.

AK19075929Location: North PoleType: DV Assault 4 x 2, Harassment 1
On November 3, 2019 at approximately 1800 hours, AST responded to a report of an assault in North Pole. Investigation revealed Travis Sieben, age 28 of Fairbanks, had assaulted two family members and subjected a family member to offensive physical contact. Sieben was remanded to FCC on two counts of Domestic Violence Assault in the Fourth Degree and one count of Harassment in the First Degree, where he was held without bail.
