AK17083248Location: KakeType: Assault 4
On 11/23/17, at about 0552 hours, Juneau based Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault on Canadian Side Road in Kake. State Troopers subsequently responded and investigated. Investigation revealed a 35 year old male resident of Kake physically assaulted a 44 year old male Kake resident. A charge of Assault 4 is being referred to the Juneau District Attorney's Office for prosecution.

AK17084663Location: WasillaType: Criminal Mischief
On 11/30/17 at approximately 0420 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Fireweed Ave and Hyer Road in Wasilla for a report of criminal mischief. Investigation revealed that the back window of 2002 Subaru Outback was broken out, the owner stated nothing was taken. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 745-2131.

AK17084622Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
On 11/29/2017 at 1907 hours, troopers with the Criminal Suppression Unit contacted JOSHUA L. JONES at an address on Williwaw Way during an investigation. Investigation determined that JONES had a warrant for arrest for failing to appear on the original charge of criminal trespass. JONES was arrested and remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial.

AK17084777Location: HoustonType: Burglary, Vehicle Theft, Criminal Mischief, Theft
On November 30, 2017 at about 1230 hours Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle theft in the area of Backhaus Street in Houston. Investigation revealed someone forcefully entered a residence and stole a Toyo stove as well as a set of keys for a 1993 blue in color Ford Bronco, bearing Alaska registration DFF654, that was parked in the driveway. Anyone with information reference this incident is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 352-5401.

AK17084854Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
On 11-30-17 at about 1630 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet pickup for expired registration. Investigation revealed the driver, identified as 37 year old Wasilla resident Dwight Rice, had two outstanding warrants for his arrest for FTA on the original charges of Theft and DUI. He was arrested and remanded to MSPT to serve 3 days, plus an additional $3000 bail.

Department of Public Safety AdvisoryLocation: Fairbanks
The Fairbanks Special Emergency Reaction Team will be conducting cold weather training in the Olnes Pond area North of Fairbanks near MP 10.5 of the Elliott highway. Team members will be donning snow-camo and be in and around some areas of the pipeline. Signs will be also be posted in the area to advise members of the public of the training activity.

AK17084598Location: FairbanksType: Attempted Murder, Assault and Vehicle Theft
On 11/29/17 at approximately 1708 hours, Fairbanks AST received a report that a woman had been stabbed multiple times and her vehicle had been stolen by an unknown adult female. AST Patrol, Fairbanks Special Projects Unit and Parks Highway Patrol responded to the incident. The victim, identified as Lisa Behr, 66 of Fairbanks, was transported to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital where she underwent surgery for life threatening injuries. Behr’s 2006 Ridgeline was recovered a short distance away from where it was stolen, near mile 341 of the George Parks Highway. Investigation lead to Lindsay Preshaw, 35 of Fairbanks, being contacted and arrested at mile 309 of the George Parks Highway. Preshaw is charged with one count of attempted murder in the first, assault in the first, and vehicle theft in the first.
Per the Fairbanks Police Department, FPD considers Lindsay Preshaw the primary suspect in the death of Jack Preshaw and are not currently looking for additional suspects in this case. Fairbanks Police is coordinating their investigation with the District Attorney’s Office and expect charges will be filed in the near future. AK17084788Location: Tok, AlaskaType: NVOL and VCOR
On 11/30/17 at approximately 1300 hours, Tok AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after AST observed 18 year old Tanacross resident Nathaniel Genebeach operating the vehicle. AST had prior knowledge that Genebeach did not have a valid operators license. AST also contacted a passenger, 21 year old Tanacross resident, Kyle Allen. Investigation resulted in Genebeach being issued a citation for No Valid Operators License and Allen was placed under arrest for being intoxicated. Allen is on conditions of release from a prior case and is not allowed to consume alcohol. Allen was later transported to FCC.

AK17084658Location: Mile 12.5 K-Beach, NikiskiType: MVC-D, DUI
On 11-30-17 at 0320 hours, AST responded to a report of a single vehicle crash near mile 12.5 K-Beach Road. Upon arrival the vehicle was identified as a white 2002 Ford F250. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Russell E. Wilson 36 YOA of Kenai. Wilson was entrapped in the vehicle and was eventually extricated. Investigation revealed Wilson had been consuming alcohol. Wilson was transported to CPH for treatment of minor injuries and released to AST. Wilson was arrested and processed for DUI and was transported and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial.

AK17084430Location: HomerType: Burglary 1 Theft 2 X2 and Criminal Mischief 3
On 11/29/2017 Anchor Point Troopers responded to a residence in Homer reference a burglary. Investigation revealed multiple items were stolen from the residence a long with a home made 20' flatbed trailer with a wood deck. Gavril Konev age 31 from Homer admitted to breaking into the residence and stealing the items. Gavril Konev was arrested for Burglary 1, Theft 2 X2 and Criminal Mischief 3. Anchor Point Troopers are still requesting help in locating the trailer and are requesting the public to contact Soldotna Dispatch at 907-262-4453 with more information.

AK17076727Location: Ketchikan SDEUType: MICS 2
On 11/26/17, the Alaska State Troopers’ Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit in Ketchikan and K-9 Misty, with the assistance of the Ketchikan Police Department and the United States Coast Guard Investigative Service, seized 111 grams of methamphetamine from a cargo shipment at a local freight carrier in Ketchikan, which was shipped from Seattle. K-9 Misty located the methamphetamine, which was welded inside of a hydraulic engine hoist. On 11/27/17, Richard Anderson (age 53 of Ketchikan) was arrested for MICS 2 after he took possession of the cargo shipment. Anderson was remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Center without bail pending arraignment.
