AK19076276Location: HydaburgType: Warrant Arrest
On November 5, 2019, at about 8:15AM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island contacted and arrested 46 year old Kirk Rasmus in Hydaburg in regards to an active warrant for his arrest. Rasmus was transported to the Craig Jail where he was remanded on $1000.00 bail for Violating Conditions of Release.

AK19076241Location: VoznesenkaType: Criminal Mischief 5th
On 11/4/19 at 2006 hours, Troopers responded to a residence near mile 22 East End Road in Voznesenka for a disturbance. An investigation showed Mark Basargin, 34 of Voznesenka, had damaged a family members property during an argument. Basargin was arrested and transported to the Homer Jail where he was remanded pending arraignment.

AK19076302Location: WasillaType: Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree (DV)
On 11/05/2019 at approximately 0921 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Crowberry Drive in Wasilla for a disturbance. Troopers arrived and contacted 28-year-old Wasilla resident Jacob Davis who stated he was in the process of moving out of his girlfriend’s home. Davis stated he was involved with an altercation between himself and his girlfriend. After interview both parties’ investigation revealed Davis had damaged personal property belonging to his girlfriend. Davis was arrested, transported and remanded to Mat Su Pretrial on a single count of Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree (DV) with bail set at no bail.

AK19076399Location: PalmerType: DUI - Alcohol & MVC-D
On 11/05/2019 at approximately 1321 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Engstrom Road and Glade Court in Palmer for a report of a single vehicle rollover. Investigation revealed Hanna Kemp, age 28 of Palmer, was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Further investigation revealed her 2004 Toyota Corolla left the roadway, hit a tree, and overturned. Kemp was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility to be released on her own recognizance.

On 11/05/2019 at approximately 1300 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence in Houston where Lindzi Vander Bie was arrested for two outstanding warrants. Vander Bie had a $1000 warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of Vehicle Theft I, and Theft II. In addition, she had a $500 arrest warrant for False Reporting and Theft IV. Vander Bie was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on cash bail.

AK19075656Location: WasillaType: Death Investigation
UPDATE: On the morning of 11/14/2019 Juan Camarena called the Alaska State Troopers and arranged to meet up at a Wasilla location. Upon contact, at approximately 1130 hours, Camarena was taken into custody without incident on an unrelated arrest warrant regarding federal charges. Investigation continues.
UPDATE: Alaska State Troopers are seeking public assistance in locating 51 year old Juan Camarena. Camarena is a person of interest in the recent triple homicide in Wasilla. Camarena’s last known location was in the Big Lake area. Camarena is wanted for questioning in regards to the triple homicide that took place on 11/2/2019 off of KGB and Knik Knack Mud Shack Road. Camarena is a Hispanic male, six foot 200 lbs. Camarena should be considered dangerous. If anyone has information about Juan Camarena, contact MatCom Dispatch at 352-5401
UPDATE: On 11/5/2019 at approximately 1430 hours, investigators located a body near mile 10 of Knik Goose Bay Road. Investigation determined the tentative identity for the deceased as Alyssa Jimenez, 28 of Big Lake. Jimenez’s next of kin have been notified. An autopsy and positive ID will be done by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
AST has tentatively identified the two other deceased individuals in this case as Michael Attwood, 25 of Big Lake, and Donna Marie Campos, 37 of Wasilla. Next of kin for Attwood and Campos have been notified of the tentative identities. Positive IDs and autopsies are pending by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
All three deaths are believed to be related and are being treated as a homicide investigation. Anyone with any information they believe is related to this incident are asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 907-352-5401.
UPDATE: The State Medical Examiner is conducting autopsies to confirm the identities of the deceased. Identities and manners of death will be released following autopsies and next of kin notifications. A missing person associated with the investigation has been identified as Alyssa Jimenez, 28, of Big Lake. Investigators are concerned for Jimenez’s safety as she was reportedly with the two deceased individuals earlier in the day prior to their deaths. The circumstances regarding Jimenez’s disappearance are unknown. Anyone with information about Jimenez’s whereabouts or this case is asked to contact Troopers.
11/03/2019, Alaska State Troopers are Investigating the death of two persons, a male and a female, off of Knik Knack Mud Shack Road in Wasilla. Anyone with information related to these deaths should call MatCom Dispatch at 352-5401. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details are available at this time.

AK19075936Location: SelawikType: Attempted Murder/Assault
On November 3, 2019 at approximately 1746 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Selawik received a report of a 9 month old being treated at the Selawik clinic from an assault. AST investigation resulted in the arrest of Albertha Davis, 26 of Selawik, for attempted murder in the 1st degree and assault in the second degree domestic violence. Davis was remanded at Kotzebue Regional Jail.

AK19076256Location: FairbanksType: Assault 4/DV and Criminal Mischief III
On November 5, 2019 at approximately 0224 hours, AST contacted Don Spear, age 34 of Fairbanks at his residence in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed Don had assaulted a family member and recklessly caused damaged inside the residence. Don was arrested and remanded to FCC where he was held on no bail.

AK19076264Location: FairbanksType: Assault IV
On 11/5/2019, the Alaska State Troopers a citizen in crisis at a Halvorson Road address for a female acting erratic and uncontrollable. Upon AST arrival, the female, identified as 37 year old Laura Patterson, became combative and assaulted multiple troopers and resisted being placed under arrest. Patterson was arrested and taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital to be medically cleared prior to being remanded at the Fairbanks Correctional Center. Controlled substances were a contributing factor.

AK19076268Location: FairbanksType: Burglary/Theft
On 11-5-19 at approximately 0649 hours, Troopers received a report of a burglary in progress at a residence near mile 14 of Chena Hot Springs Road in Fairbanks. Troopers arrived on scene and were able to locate the suspect vehicle driving towards Fairbanks. A traffic stop was initiated Troopers contacted Mustafa Saleh (23) and Tara Lie-Arevalo (30) inside the vehicle. Troopers observed stolen items in plain view inside the vehicle. Further investigation revealed multiple residences in the area were burglarized. Mustafa and Tara were both remanded to FCC on two counts of Burglary 1st, attempted Theft 2nd, and two counts of Criminal Trespass 1st. The investigation is ongoing and anyone having information regarding the thefts is requested to contact Trp. Valdez at 451-5100.
