    Type: Vehicle Theft I, Theft II, VCOR, Forgery II

    Dispatch Text:

    On 11/09/2018, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence in Sutton. Investigation revealed Rory Vail, age 29 of Wasilla, stole a 2000 red Chevy 1500 in Sutton, forged the title, and registered the vehicle in his name at the DMV. Further, Vail was on electronic monitoring and after contacting Pretrial Enforcement Division, Vail's ankle monitor indicated he was at the residence in Sutton and then the Eagle River DMV the following day. Vail and the stolen pickup were located on Cattail Drive in Houston. Vail was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.

    On 07/10/2018 at approximately 1414 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of stolen Citation camper valued at $35,000 from Valley RV Center in Palmer. On 11/09/2018, Troopers located the camper on Cattail Drive in Houston. Investigation revealed Rory Vail, age 29 of Wasilla, was in possession of the stolen camper. Vail was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.

    Type: DUI and Probation Violation

    Dispatch Text:

    On 11/08/2018 at approximately 2331 hours, Glennallen AST conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Mustang near mile 104 Old Richardson Hwy. for a moving violation.  Investigation revealed the driver Ronald Richard Riley, age 51, was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Further investigation revealed Ronald was in violation of his probation on the original charge of attempted Sexual Assault 1st. Ronald was placed under arrest, transported and held at the Glennallen post pending arraignment. Alcohol was a factor in the case.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 11/09/2018 at approximately 1910 hours, Glennallen AST contacted and arrested Bernie Martin, age 44, at a residence in Copper Center on an active arrest warrant for Failure to appear trial call on the original charge of DUI and Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test. Bernie was transported and held at the Glennallen post with bail set at $500 bail.

    Type: REDDI, Eluding 2nd, DWLC, Warrant Arrest, Probation Violation.

    On 11/9/2018 at 1220 hours, MATCOM aired a REDDI locate for a vehicle traveling on the Palmer Wasilla Highway towards Wasilla. A Trooper observed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle as it turned into the Target parking lot. The vehicle initially failed to stop and continued through the parking lot. A passenger exited the vehicle and the vehicle continued through the lot. The Trooper was able to stop the vehicle before it exited the lot. Investigation determined that the driver, JESSICA RODMAN, 36 of Wasilla failed to stop at the direction of a peace officer and was operating a vehicle with a canceled license. Passenger(s)  LANYCHA ZIMMER, 26 of Palmer, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and CHARLES LESLIE, 25 of Palmer, was arrested for a probation violation. All three subjects were remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial.

    On 11/8/2018 at 1841 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on Alder Dr in Wasilla. AST contacted the driver, JEROME BYRNE age 37 of Wasilla who was found to have a warrant for his arrest for Theft 2. BYRNE was arrested and remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial and held on $2000 bail.

    Type: SAR- missing person

    Dispatch Text:

    On 11/4/18, at 1454 hours, Nome AST received a report that Lincoln Simon, 63 years old of White Mountain, had broken through the ice at the mouth of the Fish River and Golovin Bay.   Simon had been riding his ATV.  Simon was able to call his family and relay his circumstance and location.  Golovin Search and Rescue and other volunteers responded to the area.  Golovin searchers located personal items on the ice that are believed to belong to Simon.  Searchers in the helicopter and airboat did not locate Simon or his ATV. Weather, ice conditions, and other environmental factors have hampered the search.  These conditions have prohibited divers and other water and under water assets from being safely deployed to aid in the search. Private, commercial, and DPS aircraft have been used to conduct aerial searches of the area.  A DPS AWT aircraft located the four-wheeler under ice in near the mouth of the river. Simon is still unaccounted for.

    On 11/9/18, At approximately 0825 hours, AST arrived on scene at motor vehicle collision in the intersection of the Richardson Highway and Nistler Road.  The investigation showed Samuel Tatarenko (age 18 of Delta Junction) was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion when he turned East onto Nistler Road in front of William Miller (age 27 of Delta Junction) who was driving a 2000 Dodge Durango.  Both vehicle sustained heavy damage.  Tatarenko was issued a citation for Failure to Yield when turning left.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 11/08/2018 at approximately 2155 hours, Soldotna Public Safety Dispatch was notified of a single vehicle collision near milepost 8 of the Seward Highway near Seward. Troopers and Seward Volunteer Ambulance responded to the scene . Investigation revealed that Frank J. Tulloh, age 24 of Seward was traveling northbound in his black, 2003 Toyota Tundra pickup when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy conditions. Tulloh’s vehicle entered the northbound ditch and struck the embankment causing the vehicle to roll over. Tulloh and his passenger were transported to Providence Hospital in Seward by EMS. Tulloh and his passenger reported that they were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.

    On 11/08/2018 at approximately 1800 hours, Soldotna Public Safety Dispatch was notified of a single vehicle collision near milepost 75 of the Seward Highway in Turnagain Pass near Hope. Troopers responded to the scene. Investigation revealed that Gregory L. Pemberton, age 67 of Sterling was traveling southbound in his black, 2010 Ford F-250 pickup when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy conditions. Pemberton’s vehicle entered the southbound ditch and struck a cliff face causing minor damage to his vehicle. Pemberton and his passenger declined medical attention and reported that they were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.

    On 11/9/18 at approximately 1540 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted George Via, age 49 of Seward, at 33567 Nash Road. A records check revealed Via had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Violating Conditions of Release. Via was arrested and remanded to the Seward City Jail. Bail was set at $500.00.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 11/9/18 at approximately 1044 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to 12076 Celestial Street for the report of a possible deceased female. AST arrived on scene at approximately 1049 hours. Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corp and Bear Creek Fire arrived on scene shortly afterwards. The female was declared deceased at 1054 hours. The female was identified as Kim Hughes, age 59 of Seward. Her next of kin, Carl Hughes, was present at the scene. The death appeared natural. No foul play was suspected.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 11/09/2018 at approximately 1513 hours, Soldotna Public Safety Dispatch was notified of a single vehicle collision near milepost 73 of the Seward Highway in Turnagain Pass. Troopers, Anchorage Police and Girdwood EMS responded to the scene. Investigation revealed that Marion Parrish, age 71 of Kasilof was traveling southbound in his grey, 2004 Ford F250 pickup when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy conditions. Parrish’s vehicle crossed left of center and struck the northbound guardrail. Parrish’s vehicle went through the guardrail and entered the northbound ditch causing the vehicle to roll over. Parrish was treated at the scene by a good Samaritan until EMS arrived at the scene. Parrish was transported to Providence Hospital in Anchorage by Girdwood EMS. Parrish reported that he was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 11/9/18 at approximately 0719 hours, while arriving at the Anchorage Correctional Complex to conduct Jail Court, a Court Services Officer was approached by Angela Hall, age 40, of Anchorage. Hall stated she had a felony warrant for her arrest and she wanted to turn herself in. Further investigation revealed she did have a no bail warrant for the original charge of Criminal Mischief III (3AN-18-10499CR). Hall was arrested, transported, and remanded to the Anchorage Jail without incident.
