AK17085317Location: PalmerType: Death Investigation
Paulette “Pili” Kane was taken into custody by officers with the Anchorage Police Department in her outstanding warrant at approximately 1822 hours.
On 12/22/17 a Palmer Grand Jury returned an indictment on the following individuals for their part in Weston Gladney’s murder:
-Brian Scheele, age 56, of Anchorage was indicted for Murder 1, Conspiracy to commit Murder 1, and two counts of Tampering with Evidence.
-Joseph Ahuna, age 42, of Anchorage was indicted for Murder 1, Conspiracy to commit Murder 1, and two counts of Tampering with Evidence.
-Jeffery Enosa, age 31, of Anchorage was indicted for Murder 1, Conspiracy to commit Murder 1, and two counts of Tampering with Evidence.
-Paulette Kane, age 34, of Anchorage was indicted for Murder 1 and Conspiracy to commit Murder 1.
-Helen Them, age 26, of Anchorage was indicted for Manslaughter.
Paulette "Pili" Kane is not in custody. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts are asked to contact Troopers or their local police department by calling 9-1-1.
These charges come as a result of a collaborative effort between ABI, “B” Detachment GIU, ABI/Special Crimes Investigation Unit, the Anchorage Police Department, and the US Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force.
On 12/19/2017 at approximately 1800 hours, Joseph Ahuna, 42 of Anchorage, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Murder in the First Degree in relation to the death of Weston Gladney. The Anchorage Police Department’s SWAT assisted AST in Ahuna’s apprehension in the Sand Lake neighborhood.
Additionally, Alaska State Troopers are seeking Paulette "Pili" Kane, 34 of Anchorage, and Chalice Kesselring, 28 of Anchorage. Both Kane and Kesselring have outstanding warrants for Murder in the First Degree in relation to Gladney’s death. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to contact AST or their local law enforcement agency as soon as possible by calling 9-1-1.
This investigation is a result of a collaborative effort between the Anchorage Police Department and the Alaska State Troopers. APD’s partnership in this case was invaluable.
UPDATE: On 12/15/2017 at approximately 1315 hours, Alaska State Troopers arrested Brian Scheele, 56 of Anchorage, and Helen Them, 27 of Anchorage, in Anchorage. Both Scheele and Them are charged with Murder in the First Degree in relation to the death of Weston Gladney. They have been remanded to the Anchorage Jail. The investigation into Gladney's death is ongoing.
Update: The deceased is identified as Weston Gladney, 36 of Anchorage. Gladney’s next of kin has been notified. The death is being investigated as a homicide. Gladney was found deceased by a person recreating on a trail near Sullivan Avenue and Caudill road. Anyone with information regarding Gladney’s whereabouts for the past week are encouraged to contact Alaska State Troopers in Palmer at 352-5401.
On 12/2/2017 at approximately 1520 hours, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a deceased person in the Jim Creek area. AST responded to investigate. The body was transported to the SME’s office in Anchorage for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing.

AK17085546Location: WasillaType: Probation Violation
On 12-4-17 at about 0220 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy pickup on Alvin's Alley in Wasilla for a moving violation. Investigation revealed a passenger, 32 year old Wasilla resident David Sandvik, was in violation of his probation conditions. He was arrested and remanded to MSPT where he was held without bail.

On 12/4/17 at 0357 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle rollover on Bogard Road near Stoney Hollow Dr. Investigation revealed Brandon Miresse age 18 of Wasilla was driving his 2000 Toyota 4Runner southbound on Bogard when he lost control drove into the ditch rolling his vehicle totaling the vehicle. Miresse reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured in the crash.

On 12/4/17 at 1730 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a vehicle theft report of a white 1999 Ford crown Victoria bearing AK plate GSZ431 from Beaver Lodge Road in Big Lake. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the Alaska State Troopers at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

AK17085818Location: PalmerType: Warrant Arrest
On 12/04/2017 at approximately 2210 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Ty Stevens, age 41 of Anchorage, in the Palmer Fred Meyers parking lot. Investigation revealed Stevens had an outstanding warrant for Assault 3. Stevens was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial where he was held without bail.

AK17084695Location: St. GeorgeType: SAR, Death Investigation
On 11/30/2017 at 0900 hours it was reported that Serge Lekanof, 25 of St. George, had been missing since approximately 0300 hours on 11/29/2017. Lekanof had reportedly been drinking prior to walking away from his home. On 12/1/2017, it was reported that a human body was observed at the bottom of a sheer rocky cliff. Community members reported that they recognized the body as that of Lekanof. Due to the rough water, and the hazardous nature of the cliff, with frequent falling rocks, the body could not be reached for recovery. On the morning of 12/2/2017, at low tide, the body was no longer there. On 12/4/2017, it was reported that the remains were again seen at the bottom of the cliff. Efforts are underway to recover the remains.

AK Wildlife Troopers
AK17085397Location: FairbanksType: Warrant Arrest
On December 3, 2017, at approximately 8:08 am, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers based out of Fairbanks contacted 55 year old North Pole resident Charles B. Singleton during a routine traffic stop. Subsequent investigation revealed Charles had an outstanding $10,000 felony warrant for Burglary II and Theft III. Charles was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Facility.

On 12/04/2017, Stephen Lynch 33 YOA of Nikiski, was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers. Soldotna Post for failure to seal moose antlers, illegally possessing and transporting big game, and failure to return his moose harvest report during the general season hunt in GMU15B. Bail is set at $110.00 for failure to report and arraignment is set in Kenai district court on 01/04/2018 at 1330 hours for possession of game and failure to seal.

AK Bureau of Highway Patrol
AK17085347Location: IndianType: Warrant Arrest
On 12/02/2017 at approximately 1845 hours, Alaska State Troopers with the Bureau of Highway Patrol contacted Chris N. Nelson, age 56 of Anchorage during a traffic stop for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed that Nelson had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for a parole violation on the original charge of Sexual Assault in the 1st Degree, Kidnapping and Burglary 1st Degree. Nelson was arrested at the scene without incident, transported and remanded to the Anchorage Jail where he was held without bail.
