AK18009524Location: Gravina IslandType: Assault IV (DV)
On 2-9-18 at approximately 2314 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan received a report of an assault that occurred on Gravina Island. Alaska State Troopers responded with the assistance of the United States Coast Guard to the island. Investigation revealed that Dustin Armey, age 32 of Ketchikan, had assaulted a family member. Armey was arrested for Assault IV (DV) and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and held without bail pending arraignment. Alcohol was a factor.

AK18009569Location: PalmerType: Assault 4th DV
On 02/10/2018 at 1024 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on N. Angus Loop in Palmer for a disturbance. Investigation revealed 33-year-old Palmer resident Christiana Farnsworth assaulted a family member. Farnsworth was subsequently arrested, transported and remanded to Mat Su Pretrial for Assault in the 4th Degree (DV) with no bail till arraignments.

AK18009627Location: WasillaType: Criminal Mischief 3rd, Criminal Trespass 1st
On 2/10/2018, approximately 1620 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of 2 doors being forced open at a residence on Wassim Circle, Wasilla. Investigation revealed that on 2/7/2018, an individual forced entry into 2 locked doors on the property causing approximately $3500 in damage as a result of the doors being forced open no items were taken from the residence. Anyone with any information regarding this investigation is asked to contact either the Alaska State Troopers at (907) 373-8300 or Crime Stoppers at (907) 745-3333.

AK18009546Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
On 2/10/18 at approximately 0338 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Stanley Rd in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Herbert Raymond age 20 of Wasilla had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. Investigation revealed Dillon Schoenberg age 20, of Wasilla had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. Both were arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT.

On 2/9/2018 at approximately 2131 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence near Settler’s Bay Drive in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Jessica Copeland 23 YOA of Wasilla, had assaulted a male in the residence. Copeland was arrested for Assault 4 (DV) and transported to Mat Su Pretrial Facility where she was held without bail.

Dispatch Text:On February 10th, 2018 at approximately 1210 hours, the Alaska State Troopers (AST) received a report from Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO) Wagner in New Stuyahok about a domestic disturbance between a boyfriend and a girlfriend. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Roberta Christopher, age 20 of New Stuyahok, for one count of Domestic Violence Assault in the 4th Degree.

On 02-08-2018 at approximately 1309 hours, Aniak AST Troopers responded to a report of a physical assault in Upper Kalskag. The investigation led to the arrest of Jake M. Vaska (33) of Upper Kalskag for the crime of Domestic Violence Assault in the Fourth degree. Subsequent investigation led to an additional charge of Assault in the Third degree against Vaska due to past assault convictions. Vaska was transported and remanded without bail at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel.

AK18009508Location: ManokotakType: Search and Rescue / Overdue snow machine
Dispatch Text:On February 9th, 2018 at approximately 1935 hours, the Alaska State Troopers (AST) received a call about a male who had left the village of Manokotak at approximately 1630 hours, was headed to Dillingham but had not been heard from yet. The male had been reported to be new to the area, was by himself, his cell phone battery had died, and multiple reports stated the weather was making the snow machine trail hard to follow. Some volunteers on the search and rescue team from Manokotak initiated a search for the missing male, and at approximately 0240 hours, they had contacted AST to report they had located the missing male close to Dillingham. The male had no injuries, and was safely returned home.

On 02-10-18 at 0314 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Aeronca Avenue. Investigations led to the arrest of Cathy Ann Gabriel Slats, 25 of Fairbanks for one count of Violating Conditions of Release.

On February 10, 2018 at approximately 0150 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. AST contacted the driver, Michael Cowley, age 31 of Fort Wainwright. The investigation revealed Cowley operating under the influence of alcohol. Cowley was transported to FCC, where he was released on his own recognizance.

AK18009521Location: Tetlin village, AlaskaType: Assault 4th DV x 2
On 2/9/18 at approximately 2248 hours, Tok AST responded to the Village of Tetlin for a reported disturbance. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Trevor Joe (21YOA) because he assaulted two family members. Joe was placed under arrest without incident and held at Tok jail until arraignments the next morning.

AK18009420Location: Cooper LandingType: MVC-D
On 2/9/18 at approximately 1340 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to mile post 45.0 of the Sterling Highway for the report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed Erika Atwood, age 42 of Homer, was driving a green 1995 Toyota Camry south on the Sterling Highway. The vehicle lost traction while negotiating a curve on ice covered roads. The vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a sign post. All occupants reported wearing their safety belts and received no injuries. Impairment was not a factor. The vehicle was driven from the scene of the crash.

AK Wildlife Troopers
AK18007990Location: PalmerType: Sport Fishing without license and with too many lines
On 2-3-18, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Palmer contacted Andrew Morgan, age 29 of Anchorage, and Kimberly Webb, age 37 of Anchorage, while they were ice fishing on Kepler Lake near Palmer. Morgan and Webb were issued citations for sport fishing without valid licenses. Morgan was also issued a citation for fishing with too many lines. Three rainbow trout were seized from Morgan and donated to a charity. Morgan's bail was set at $330. Webb's bail was set at $210. Both were required to respond to Palmer District court within 30 days.

AK18005654Location: PalmerType: Take Bull Caribou Closed Season
On 1-25-18, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Palmer contacted Michael Wariner, age 46 of Anchorage, after he reported taking a bull caribou on Adak Island when the season for bull caribou was closed. The meat from Wariner's bull caribou was seized and donated to a charity.
On 1-26-18, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Palmer contacted Edward Ehlert, age 26 of Anchorage, after he reported taking a bull caribou on Adak Island when the season for bull caribou was closed. The meat from Ehlert's bull caribou was seized and donated to a charity.
Both Wariner and Ehlert were issued mandatory appearance summonses into Unalaska Court with a court date of 2-20-18.
Because Wariner and Ehlert both turned themselves in to AWT, the cases were filed as strict liability violations instead of misdemeanors.
