AK18009851Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest/False Information/MICS 4th/ Disorderly Conduct
On 2-11-18 at approximately 2213 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a stop on a male walking in the roadway on Yenlo near Carrs. The male provided a false name and attempted to flee on foot when Troopers attempted to take him into custody. After a short foot chase the male was taken into custody, and was identified as 26 year old Anchorage resident Zachary McCreery. Investigation revealed McCreery had two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest for attempted MICS 3rd as well as MIW 3rd/Theft 2nd. A search warrant was requested and granted for a back pack in McCreery's possession, and a search revealed McCreery was in possession of a small amount of controlled substance. McCreery was arrested and remanded to MSPT where he was held on his warrants as well as additional charges of False Info, Disorderly Conduct, and MICS 4th.

AK18009854Location: WasillaType: DUI-Drugs & MICS 2nd
On 2/11/2018 at approximately 2228 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a sedan for driving without its' head lights on at the Parks Highway and the Palmer Wasilla Highway in Wasilla. An investigation revealed the driver Korby Martin Moorman, 24YOA of Wasilla, was driving under the influence of a controlled substance, was in possession of a controlled substance, and didn't have a license. Korby was arrested for DUI, MICS 2nd, and NVOL. Bail was set at $500 performance, plus $1,000 unsecured performance.

AK18009736Location: PalmerType: Death Investigation
On 02/11/2018, at approximately 1100 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the vicinity of Lower Rd in Palmer for a request for a welfare check. Investigation revealed that a female died at the location prior to AST’s arrival. There were no signs of foul play and the ensuing investigation revealed that the death was from natural causes.

On 2/12/18 Emmonak AST received a report of an assault in Nunam Iqua. An investigation is ongoing at this time. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.

On 2/12/18 Emmonak AST received a report of a theft of a snow machine; it was reported to have been taken last night about about 2100 hours. The snow machine was recovered this morning. Anyone with information about the suspect(s) are encouraged to contact Emmonak at 907-949-1300.

AK18009799Location: White MountainType: Structure fire
On 2-11-18 at 1518 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a house fire in White Mountain. No injuries were reported, however 5 dogs died in the fire. The house was a total loss. No criminal activity is suspected.

AK18009656Location: Lower KalskagType: DUI/VCOR
On 02-10-2018 at approximately 1705 hours, Aniak based Troopers contacted Eugene Morgan (32) of Bethel during a traffic stop near Lower Kalskag. The investigation revealed Morgan was operating his 2008 F350 pickup truck while being impaired by alcohol and he also had an open alcoholic beverage container inside of the vehicle. Subsequent investigations also revealed Morgan was on conditions of release from a prior DUI arrest. Morgan was charged with DUI, Violating Conditions of Release and cited for the open alcoholic beverage container. Morgan was transported and remanded at the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel.

AK18009922Location: SoldotnaType: Driving Under the Influence/Minor Operating after Consuming Alcohol/Minor Consuming Alcohol
On 2-12-18 at 0950 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Independence Drive in Soldotna for a report of a truck in the ditch. Investigation revealed the driver of the pickup, Dalton Duane Blume, 19 of Soldotna, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Blume was arrested and later remanded at Wildwood pretrial on a charge of DUI as well as citations for Minor Operating after Consuming Alcohol and Minor Consuming Alcohol.
