    On 2/7/19 at 1142 hours, Alaska State Troopers arrested Joseph Rivera, 26 of Juneau, for an outstanding arrest warrant.  The warrant was issued for failing to appear at a scheduled hearing and bail was set at $250.  Rivera was transported to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and remanded.

    On 02-06-2019 at approximately 2032 hours, AST observed a vehicle in the ditch at Johnson Road and Schulz Drive. Investigation revealed that the passenger, Case Huston out of Big Lake, had a warrant for failure to comply with probation conditions for an original charge of Vehicle Theft in the First Degree. Huston was arrested and transported to MSPT where he was remanded on the warrant and held on a $1,500 bail.

    Type: DUI / Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree / Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree / Avoidance of an Interlock Device

     On 02-02-19 at approximately 2221 hours, AST stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on the Parks Highway near Vine Road. Investigation revealed Amanda Galt, age 45 of Palmer, was driving under the influence of a controlled substance, in possession of methamphetamine, and had a child in the vehicle. Galt was arrested for the original charges of DUI, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Endangering the Welfare of Child in the First Degree, and Avoidance of Ignition Interlock Device. Galt was transported to MSPT where she was remanded into custody and held on $500 bail

    Type: Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree

    Dispatch Text:

    On 2/7/2019 at 0750 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a broken door handle on the Village of Nightmute School. Investigation revealed former-student, Nick George, age 18, of Nightmute, got mad and pulled the door handles off, which were valued at $200.00. Charges of Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree are being forwarded to the Bethel District Attorney’s Office.

    On February 7, 2019 at 0219 hours Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the Steese Highway near the Johansen Expressway for several moving violations. Investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver Ryan Brown, age 35 of Fairbanks, for Driving Under the Influence. Brown was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was held with $500 bail.

    On 2-7-2019 at 1126 hours Alaska State Troopers received a call stating someone had broken into the Tustumena Lodge and stole $750 dollars. Investigation is ongoing.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 2/7/2019 at approximately 1242 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report indicating storage units were being broken into on Old Nash Road in Seward. AST arrived and located Ethan Lane, 36, of Seward. Investigation revealed Lane had broken into six storage units and caused damage estimated to be in excess of $250. Additionally, Lane was on Conditions of Release out of Anchorage. Lane was arrested and remanded to Seward Jail without bail on charges of Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Violation of Conditions of Release.

    On 2/7/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, issued Justin Knott, age 30 of Juneau, a $320.00 citation for making a false statement on a license application after an investigation revealed that Knott had obtained a 2017 resident sport fishing license under a false claim of residency.  The citation was issued in the District Court at Juneau.

    On 2/7/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted and issued Austin Brumfield, age 23 of Juneau, a $310.00 citation for making a false statement on a license application after an investigation revealed that he had obtained a 2016 resident 5A (low income) license when he had not been living in Alaska for 12 months as required.  The citation was issued in the District Court at Juneau.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 02/07/2019 at approximately 1335 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report on a 2011 Subaru Outback sedan bearing Alaska license plate GPW368, at mile 33 of the Glenn Highway in Palmer. Investigation revealed Shauna Cranford, age 34 of Eagle River, was driving under the influence of alcohol and her driver license was revoked. Cranford was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and later released on her own recognizance.

    Type: DUI Collision and Leaving the scene of a Collison

    Dispatch Text:

    On 2/7/2019 at approximately 1659 hours, Alaska State Troopers Bureau of Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle collision on Knik Goose Bay Road and the intersection of South Foothill Blvd. Investigation revealed Zachary Eastham age 24 of Wasilla was driving under the influence of alcohol and left the scene of the vehicle collision. The other vehicle in the collision followed Zachary until Troopers arrived.  Zachary was arrested for DUI, Leaving the scene of a collision and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was remanded.
