    On 2/8/18 at approximately 2202 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1976 orange GMC Pickup in Willow. Investigation revealed the driver, Ian Lleshi, age 34, of Willow had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest on original charges of Assault 3 and leaving the scene of an accident. He was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where his bail was set at $2,000 CATP.

    On 02/08/18, at approximately 2031 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a theft after the fact at a residence on Tanana Drive in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed unknown person(s) forced entry in to a storage building and stole items.  Investigation continues.

    On 2/8/18 at approx. 0230 hours, AST responded to a residence in Palmer for a report of disturbance. Investigation revealed two adults engaged in a physical altercation. No arrest was made but charges will be forwarded to the Palmer DAO for review.

    On 2/7/2018 at approximately 1914 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Jack Mattson 56 YOA of Wasilla sleeping in his idling vehicle on S Hallie Drive. Investigation revealed Mattson was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Mattson was arrested and transported to Mat Su Pretrial in Palmer where he was held on a $500 bail.

    On 02-09-2018 at 1535 hours, Alaska State Troopers with the Mat-Su Child Abuse Investigation Unit arrested a 17 year old male from Wasilla following an investigation into sexual abuse of an 11 year old female.  The 17 year old was remanded to Mat-Su Pre Trial for five counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree, and one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree.  Bail was set at $50,000 cash only and CATP. The 17 year old is being charged as an adult.

    On 2/9/2018 Alaska State Troopers received a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately, REDDI, Report that Jeffery Lomack, age 31 of Akiachak, was driving a snow machine around the Village of Napakiak intoxicated. Lomack was contacted by troopers and was arrested for Felony DUI. Lomack refused to provide a chemical test of his breath and was charged with Felony Refusal. Lomack was remanded to Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center held without bail pending arraignment.

    Type: Assault 3rd Degree (x2), Assault 4th Degree, Misconduct Involving Weapons 4th Degree, Resisting Arrest

    On 2/8/18 at about 1637 hours, Emmonak AST received a report of an assault in Alakanuk. An investigation revealed that Kevin Patrick (age 46) of Alakanuk had pointed a rifle at a family member and placed them in fear. Patrick had also assaulted two other people in the community as well. Patrick was highly intoxicated and when he was contacted he resisted arrest. Patrick was charged with 2 counts of Assault in the 3rd Degree, Assault 4th Degree, Misconduct Involving Weapons in the 4th Degree, and Resisting Arrest. Patrick was transported to the Emmonak Police Department where he was held pending arraignment.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 2/9/18 at approximately 0209 hours AST was contacted by a local Fairbanks cab company, reporting a female who did not pay her fare after being dropped off at a residence on Birch Lane, in Fairbanks.  AST contacted the female, identified as Cathy Slats, age 25, of Fairbanks.  During AST’s contact with Slats, she became hostile and was subsequently placed under arrest for Theft 4, Disorderly Conduct, and Harassment.  Slats was remanded to FCC with $2,500 set as bail.  Alcohol was a contributing factor.

    On February 8, 2018 at approximately 8:04pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a juvenile male with a gunshot wound to the head at a Fairbanks residence.  EMS responded and provided life saving measures until pronouncing the juvenile deceased at 8:52pm.  There are currently no signs of foul play and the wound is believed to be self-inflicted, however the investigation is ongoing.  Next of Kin has been notified.

    On February 8, 2018 at approximately 9:23 PM, the Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report on the Elliot Highway.  Troopers responded and located the vehicle on Goldmine Trail near the Steese Highway.  Investigation revealed the driver, Terry Phillips-Tomlinson, age 32, of Fairbanks was driving under the influence of alcohol.  Phillips-Tomlinson was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

    Update: The school was searched and no actual threat was found.

    On 2/9/2017 at approximately 1423 hours, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a threat to Effie Kokrine Charter School on Geist road. The school has been evacuated as a precaution. There are no reports of any injuries. AST is on scene and investigation is ongoing.

    On 2/9/18 at 1925 hours, Tok AST was conducting a village patrol in Tanacross when the Trooper observed Lakota Northway (24YOA) to be inside of a residence in which he is not allowed to be at. Northway is on conditions of release on a prior felony DV assault and not supposed to be at the residence. also at the residence was one of the victims from the felony assault; The conditions also say Northway is not supposed to have any contact with that person. Northway was placed under arrest without incident and held at the Tok jail until arraignments the next day.

    Location: Dionne Ave @ Marsha Way, Clam Gulch
    Type: DUI

    Dispatch Text:

    On 2-7-18 at 2334 hours, AST observed a vehicle identified as a red 1999 Jeep being towed out of the ditch near Dionne Avenue and Marsha Way on the Sterling Highway near Clam Gulch. Upon contact investigation revealed the driver identified Dustin C. Reid, age 28 of Kenai was driving under the influence of alcohol. Reid was arrested for DUI and processed at Soldotna AST. Reid was transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was remanded on charges of DUI, 1ST offense and was booked in and eventually released O/R on his own recognizance.
