    Dispatch Text:

    On 03/12/2019, at approximately 0152 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop in vicinity of the Parks Highway and Pittman Road.  Investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, Brian Bates, age 41 of Willow, was driving within the revocation dates of his driver's license revocation from a previous DUI.  Bates was issued a misdemeanor summons along with several other citations.

    Type: Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree DV

    On 03/12/2019 at approximately 1424 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a reported disturbance at a residence on Petersville Road in Trapper Creek. An investigation revealed Stefan Gudmundson, age 49 of Trapper Creek committed the Domestic Violence crime of Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree. Gudmundson was arrested, transported and remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer where he was held without bail to await arrangement.

    Type: Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree DV

    On 03/12/2019 at approximately 0816 hours, Alaska State Troopers arrested Tanja Jean Peterson, age 48 of Talkeetna, at a residence on Camelot Place in Talkeetna for the Domestic Violence crime of Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. The incident occurred at a residence on Long Branch Street on 03/11. Peterson was transported and remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer where she was held without bail to await arraignment.

    Type: DUI, Refusal, and DWLR

    Dispatch Text:

    On March 11, 2019 at 1724 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision in Chiniak. The investigation led to the arrest of Cynthia Stone, a 36 year old female of Kodiak, for Driving Under the Influence and Driving on a Revoked License/Driving in Violation of Limitations on License. Cynthia was transported to the Kodiak Jail where she refused to provide a sample of her breath, resulting in a charge of Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test. Cynthia was remanded to the Kodiak Jail. No reported injuries from the vehicle accident.

    On 3-10-2019, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance that took place in Newhalen.  A suspect has been identified.  An arrest warrant has been requested for the suspect for assault 4th degree and Criminal mischief DV.  Alcohol is a factor in this incident.

    On 3-1-19, at approximately 1300 hours, with the assistance of the Manokotak tribal police, arrested Dick Itumulia, age 53, of Manokotak, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.  Original charge of Coercion-Install Fear of Injury.  There was no bail on the warrant.  Itumulria was remanded to the Dillingham jail without incident

    Dispatch Text:

    On 03/12/2019 at approximately 0607 hours AST responded to a report of a domestic violence assault occurring in Healy. AST units arrived and investigated. The investigation revealed that Adam Chisholm, 26yoa of Healy, had assaulted a family member. Chisholm was arrested without incident and remanded to FCC on one charge each of Assault 2nd, Assault 3rd, and Assault 4th.

    Type: Death Investigation

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3-12-19 at approximately 0156 hours Alaska State Troopers received the report of a death in Tok.  Investigation revealed that Ruth A. Rickman (age 90 from Tok) had passed away of natural causes at her home.  Rickman’s next of kin was present at the time of death.  The State Medical Examiner Office was contacted and the body was released to the family.  Chapel of Chimes funeral home was contacted at the family’s request and responded for the body.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 03/11/2019 at approximately 0121 hours, Soldotna based State Trooper responded to a report of a structure fire at approximately Mile 12 Funny River Road. The complainant and homeowner, Corey Helgevold, stated he had been working on his furnace and it started on fire.  Central Emergency Services responded to the fire.  No injuries were reported and no foul play is suspected.

    On 03/11/2019 at approximately 2004 hours, Soldotna based State Troopers were investigating a criminal complaint in Sterling, in the area of Loomis Road. Investigation revealed, Travis W. Lindley, 18, of Sterling, had two warrants. Travis was arrested for; Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance, Violating conditions of Release, and two warrants.  He was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial.  On 03/12/2019, Lindley was remanded on additional charges of Burglary in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree on an unrelated case.

    Type: Death Investigation

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3/12/2019 at approximately 1320 hours, AST responded to a local Soldotna business where it was reported that a male employee was unconscious.  Investigation revealed that Levi Morris, 32 YOA of Kasilof, was found by employees unresponsive on the property.  EMS responded to the scene and Morris was pronounced deceased.  Next of kin has been notified. Peninsula Memorial responded for Morris’ body. The body is being sent to the SME for an autopsy. No foul play is suspected at this time.

    On 3/12/19 at approximately 1431 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Soldotna.  AST responded to the scene and investigation revealed Calvin Williams, 28 y/o of Kenai, assaulted a family member and also damaged property of that family member.  Williams was arrested, transported and remanded to Wildwood Pre-Trial on charges of Criminal Mischief and Assault.  Williams is being held without bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3/9/19 at 1832 hours Anchor Point AST responded to a single vehicle accident at mile 167 of the Sterling Highway. The driver Christine Effler (72 yoa) of Homer suffered minor injuries and was transported to South Penninsula Hospital by EMS. The passenger Rodney Adams (48) of Wasilla was uninjured. Effler's vehicle left the roadway during inclement weather/road conditions and was unable to recover prior to travelling down an embankment and striking a tree.
