    On 3-12-17 at 1455 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a domestic disturbance in Elim.  Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Donny Aukon, 26 of Elim, for assault 4.  Aukon was remanded to the Anvil Mountain Correctional Center.

    On March 13, 2017 at approximately 6:27 pm, the Alaska State Troopers received the report of assorted hand and power tools stolen from a residence near Skyridge Road in Fairbanks. If anyone has any information about the theft please contact the Alaska State Troopers at 907-451-5100.

    On 3-12-2017, at approximately 2227 hours, AST received a report of an assault that occurred in Soldotna. AST responded and investigated, and found Edward Parson, 54, of Soldotna, had assaulted a family member, recklessly causing physical injury, and had intentionally damaged different items of property each estimated at less than $250 in value. Parson was arrested on charges of Assault in the 4th Degree, Domestic Violence, and two counts of Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree, Domestic Violence. Parson was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial with no bail, pending arraignment.

    On 3-12-17 at 1340 hours, Seward AST was notified of an injured skier, Fred Hurley, age 18, of Seward, on Mount Marathon who was alone and unable to descend on his own.  Alaska Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) was contacted and deployed resources to Mount Marathon.  Hurley was located and transported to an Anchorage hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

    on 3/13/2017 at approximately 0941 hours, AST responded to a report of a missing vehicle and damaged gate at the impound yard of Soldotna Y Towing. Investigation revealed the missing vehicle is an older, silver, Jeep Cherokee. The damaged gate was valued in excess of $1000, and the towing and storage fees for the vehicle are $450.

    Anyone with information regarding the vehicle is asked to contact Alaska State Troopers at 262-4453.

    Investigation is continuing.

    Type: DUI/Endangering the Welfare of a Child 1st degree

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3/13/17 at about 0035 hours, Soldotna based Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation on Echo Lake road near Gaswell in Soldotna.  Investigation revealed Erika Lynn Bergsrud, 32, of Soldotna, was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.  Further investigation revealed there was a seven year old child in the vehicle.  Bergsrud was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Endangering the Welfare of a Child 1st degree and later remanded at Wildwood pretrial with a $1,000 bail.

    On 3/13/2017 at approximately  1205 hours, Alaska State Troopers arrested Steven D. Love (50) of Anchorage, at the Boney Courthouse in Anchorage on two outstanding Municipal Warrants for Violation of Conditions of Release. Bail was set at $10,000 cash/corporate each. Love was remanded to the Anchorage Correctional Complex to await arraignment.
