    Dispatch Text:

    On 03-18-17 at approximately 1525 hours, Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu near MP 7 of the Craig-Klawock Highway for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed Matthew Charles, age 82 of Hydaburg, was driving the vehicle in violation of his driver’s license restriction. Charles was issued a summons for Driving in Violation of Restricted License.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3/17/17 at approximately 2245 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report of a 1999 Ford Ranger pickup driving erratic and conducted a traffic stop on Parks Highway near Palmer Wasilla Highway in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Rocky Brown, age 52 of Wasilla, was driving under the influence while license revoked and was subsequently arrested. Brown had two prior DUI convictions within 10 years preceding the date of the present offense increasing the severity of the charge to a felony. Brown was charged with DUI, DWLR and Refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was transported and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held pending arraignment.

    On 3/18/17 at approximately 0302 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a black GMC SUV near Bogard Rd and Catalina Dr for a moving violation.  Investigation revealed the driver, Michael Groves age 63 of Wasilla, was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a firearm.  Groves was arrested for DUI Alcohol and Misconduct Involving a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.  Groves was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded into custody to be released on his own recognizance.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 03/18/2017 at approximately 0353 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle rollover on Wasilla Fishhook Road near Bridal Path in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Kelli Zaumseil, age 26 of Wasilla, was driving a black 2014 Ford Escape north on Wasilla Fishhook Road when she lost control of the vehicle, struck a snow berm, and the vehicle rolled onto its side. Further, Zaumseil was driving under the influence of alcohol. Zaumseil was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility to be released on her own recognizance. Zaumseil reports wearing a seatbelt.

    On 3.18.17 at approximately 1945 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Agate Lane in Wasilla for a report of a disturbance. On scene investigation revealed Jeremy Friberg, age 44 of Wasilla, had assaulted a family member. Further investigation revealed Friberg damage property of a family member. Friberg was arrested for Assault IV and Criminal Mischief V and transported to the Mat Su Pretrial Facility for remand where he was held without bail.

    Type: Domestic Violence Assault IV

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3/17/2017 at approximately 2015 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault in Bells Flats in Kodiak. Investigation revealed Dana Oneill, age 47 of Kodiak, assaulted her boyfriend at his residence. Oneill was arrested and remanded to the Kodiak jail for assault in the fourth degree, where she remained pending arraignment the following day.

    On 3-17-17 at 2314 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of an intoxicated person in Gambell.  Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Carson Oozeva, 58 of Gambell, for probation violation.

    On 3-18-17 at 1025 hours the Alaska State Troopers arrested Joeseph Fagundes, 26 of White Mountain, with an arrest warrant for burglary 1 and three counts of assault 4.  Fagundes was remanded to the Anvil Mountain Correctional Center with bail set at $10,000.

    On March 18th, 2017 at approximately 0130 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a call from the village of Aleknagik in regards to a domestic disturbance. AST was unable to make contact with anyone at the residence until approximately 0930 hours. The complainant stated the parties that were fighting were still sleeping. At approximately 1100 hours, AST responded to the residence and contacted all parties involved. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Tina Ilutsik, age 28 of Aleknagik, for one count of DV Assault in the 4th Degree, and one count of DV Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree. Tina was transported to the Dillingham Jail for remand.

    On March 16th, 2017 at approximately 1555 hours, the Alaska State Troopers were contacted by the Village Peace Officer (VPO) in New Stuyahok in regards to an intoxicated male who was refusing to leave a residence. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Simeon Wonhola, age 29 of New Stuyahok, for one count of Criminal Trespass in the 1st Degree. Simeon was transported to the VPSO Office in New Stuyahok for remand and was eventually released on OR.

    On March 18, 2017 at approximately 8:19pm, AST received an open line 911 call where a disturbance could be heard in the background.  AST responded to the residence and contacted Milford Sweat, 27 YOA of Fairbanks, and his wife Rebecca Mora, 33 YOA of Fairbanks.  Investigation revealed Milford committed the crime of domestic violence assault in the fourth degree.  Milford was arrested and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was remanded.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3-17-17 at 0503 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a black 1995 Dodge Neon at S. Miller and Fireweed Street in Nikiski. Contact was made with the driver identified as Zachary J.L. Boyle, 29 YOA of Soldotna and a female passenger identified Jamie R. Bischoff, 30 YOA of Kenai. During the contact drug paraphernalia could be seen in plain view in the vehicle. A consent search of the vehicle was conducted and investigation Heroin and Methamphetamine were located in the vehicle. Boyle and Bischoff were both issued misdemeanor citations and were released on their own recognizance.

    On 3-17-2017 at approximately 2345 hours Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report of a vehicle traveling southbound on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the REDDI vehicle at the intersection of the Kalifornsky Beach Road and Kristina Way, in Soldotna. Investigation found Aaron Fellers, age 36 of Kenai, was driving under the influence. Fellers was arrested and remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on the charge of DUI and held without bail.

    Location: Frosty near Mile 24 K-Spur Hwy
    Type: Warrant Arrest, Stolen vehicle recovery

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3-18-17 at 0215 hours, AST recovered an unoccupied 2000 GMC truck that was reported stolen. The vehicle was located at a residence on Frosty near mile 24, K-Spur Hwy and during the investigation a female identified as Amber E. Gardner, 38 YOA of Nikiski was contacted at the residence. A check in APSIN/NCIC revealed Gardner had 3 separate $10,000 outstanding warrants for her arrest. The owner of the recovered vehicle was notified and ACE Towing responded and took possession of the vehicle. Gardner was arrested on $30,000 worth of outstanding warrants and was transported and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial.

    On 3/18/17 at approximately 2:05 p.m. AST arrested Frank E. Bush, age 29, of Kasilof, at a Nikiski area residence for outstanding felony arrest warrants.  He was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial pending arraignment.

AK Wildlife Troopers

    Type: False Statement On License Application, Unlawful Possession

    Dispatch Text:

    On 3/17/17, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted and issued Andrew Gregovich, age 25 of Kent, WA, a citation for making a false statement on his 2016 sport fish & hunting license by claiming Alaska residency when he was not an Alaska resident.  Gregovich was also issued a strict liability citation for unlawful possession after further investigation revealed that he had unlawfully taken a Dall Sheep under his claim of Alaska residency.  The sheep that Gregovich had taken was seized by Troopers during the course of this investigation.  Gregovich has a mandatory court appearance in the District Court at Juneau.
