    Dispatch Text:

    On 04-13-2018 at approximately 1735 hours, AST received a report of a burglary on E. Caswell Lakes Road in Willow.  Investigation revealed individuals broke into a shed on the property and stole a chainsaw, drill, and chainsaw blades with a total value of approximately $600.

    Location: Palmer
    Type: Motor Vehicle Collision Injury

    Dispatch Text:

    On 4/14/18 at 2200 hours, Alaska State Troopers and EMS responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Trunk Road.  Investigation revealed Joseph Kincaid, age 19 of Palmer was operating a 2000 Chevrolet Tracker eastbound on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway attempting to turn left on to Trunk Road.  John Gorab, age 68 of Wasilla was operating a 1999 Subaru Outback westbound on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway.  Both vehicles collided and came to rest in the intersection.  Gorab was transported to MatSu Regional Medical Center with injuries.  Both vehicles were a total loss.

    On 04/15/2018 at approximately 0004 hours, Glennallen AST conducted a traffic stop on a gray Ford Ranger pickup near mile 105 Richardson Hwy. for erratic driving. AST investigation revealed the driver Donald James Williams was driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Donald was placed under arrest and transported to Glennallen post where he is being held until sober. Alcohol is a factor in the case.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 4/14/18 at approximately 2356 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle collision near the intersection of Beverly Lakes Road and N. Fine Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Donovan Hoppe,  age 55, of Willow, was thrown from his 1995 Honda motorcycle after he entered a curve and lost control. Hoppe died on scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Next of kin was notified and the SME responded for Hoppe's remains. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Investigation continues.

    On 4/14/18 at approximately 0125 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Jeffrey Moore age 31, of Wasilla at the Walmart in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Moore had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where his bail was set at $500.

    On 02/15/2018 at approximately 0107 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted a 2001 Chevrolet pick-up truck near the intersection of the Palmer Wasilla Highway and Seward Meridian Parkway in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Randall Putzier, age 59 of Wasilla, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Randall was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was later released on his own recognizance.

    On 4/13/2018 at approximately 2245 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence near Masonic Court for a disturbance.  Investigation revealed that Miles Walker, 38 YOA, of Big Lake damaged a window of a vehicle valued at approximately $400.  Miles departed the scene prior to AST’s arrival and was unable to be located.  Charges are being forwarded to the Palmer DAO.

    On 4/14/2018 at approximately 1756 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a Burglary near Outlet View Drive.  Investigation revealed that an unidentified individual entered the residence and stole several pieces of jewelry, valued at approximately $2000.  Investigation is ongoing at this time.  Anyone with information in reference to this incident is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 352-5401.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 4/15/18 at 0730 hours Alaska State Troopers were contacted by William Haller (55) of Big Lake, who reported someone had come to a business on Big Lake Road during the night and stole the ATM.  Investigation showed two males enter the business and leave with the ATM after cutting the bolts off at the floor.  The ATV was valued at $5000 and damage to the door was estimated at $100.   Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers or AST Dispatch at 907-352-5401.  Investigation is continuing.

    On April 15, 2018, Alaska State Trooper dispatch received a report of theft and trespassed on TESORO in Wasilla.  The manager reported two WMAs (white male adult) entered the convenience store and stole a bottle of vodka valued at $25.  The video evidence at the scene is being analyzed and possible suspects are being identified.  The investigation is ongoing and the public is encouraged to contact Alaska State Troopers dispatch at 352-5401 or Crime Stoppers. This case is closed pending additional information are investigative leads.

    On 4/14/2018 at approximately 1734 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of damage to a vehicle on Hart Lake Loop.  Investigation revealed that an unidentified individual damaged the steering column of the vehicle, causing approximately $500 in damage.  Investigation is ongoing at this time.  Anyone with information in reference to this incident is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 352-5401.

    On 4/15/18 at approximately 1914 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 white Ford F150 for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the driver Jeremy Ickes age 46, of Talkeetna had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where his bail was set at $2,500 C/C.

    On 04/15/2018 at approximately 1802 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted James Allen Hamilton, age 54 of Talkeetna in is Chevrolet Tahoe in The parking lot of the Sunshine convenience store after he was called in as a REDDI. An investigation revealed Hamilton, was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a firearm while impaired. Hamilton was arrested for DUI and Misconduct Involving Weapons. He was transported and remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer.

    On April 15, 2018 at 0855 hours, the Northwest Arctic Borough Search and Rescue Coordinator contacted the Alaska State Troopers and reported a snowmachiner was overdue from a fishing trip. A hasty team was deployed from Noorvik. At 1235 hours, the snowmachiner was located; no reported injuries.

    On 4-14-18 at 1759 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of an overdue snowmobiler near Shishmaref.  Shishmaref search and rescue volunteers located Brian Crockett, 59 of Brevig Mission, about 30 miles from Shishmaref.  Crockett's snowmobile broke down, however, he was prepared with outdoor equipment.  Crockett was transported back to Shishmaref.

    Type: Failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer/MICS IV

    Dispatch Text:

    On April 15, 2018 AST attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Chevy Tahoe (EEZ505) on Chena Pump Road.  Instead of stopping the vehicle turned onto Palo Verde and led AST on a high speed pursuit through the neighborhood.  AST eventually stopped the vehicle at a residence on Glasgow.  The driver Jarrid Caviness (age 18 of Fairbanks) was arrested for Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer and possession of methamphetamine.   Caviness was remanded to FCC on these charges without bail.

    On April 15th, 2018 at 0404 hours, suspicious activity was reported to be occurring around Free Wright Lane. It was reported that there was a vehicle parked with its lights off. AST and North Pole Police responded. AST contacted John Dudrow, 61 of North Pole and Curtis Teel, 55 of North Pole. Curtis had crashed his vehicle into the ditch and John as attempting to assist him. The investigation resulted in the arrest of both John and Curtis for Driving Under the Influence. Both were remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

Douglas was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 4/15/2018 at approximately 0236 hours, Soldotna Dispatch received a report of a white pickup driving on the lawn of Soldotna Prep School. At approximately 0241 hours, the vehicle was located driving in circles on the lawn of Soldotna High School. Investigation revealed the driver, Austin Jackson, 19, of Soldotna, was impaired by alcohol. Additionally, investigation revealed the lawns at both Soldotna Prep School and Soldotna High School were damaged in an amount estimated to be in excess of $750 each. Jackson was arrested and remanded at Wildwood Pretrial on two counts of Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree and one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Jackson is being held without bail, pending arraignment.

    On 4-15-2018 at 1558 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a two vehicle collision near mile 108 Sterling Highway, in Kasilof.  Investigation revealed Rheann Keenan (24 YOA of Sterling) was driving her Dodge sedan northbound on the Sterling Highway when she struck a Buick sedan that was turning left onto a side street.  The Buick was driven by Jaycee McGee (25 YOA of Kenai).  Both vehicles sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported.  Both drivers reported wearing seatbelts.
