AK17024854Location: KetchikanType: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 04-19-2017 at approximately 1140 hours Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan served an Arrest Warrant on 29 year old Michael D. Jessen of Ketchikan. The warrant was issued by the Ketchikan Court stemming from 4th degree assault charges. Jessen was remanded without incident at the Ketchikan Correctional Center on $500 bail.

AK17024951Location: KetchikanType: Warrant Arrest
On 4/17/17, the U.S. Marshals Alaska Fugitive Task Force (AFTF) traveled to Ketchikan at the request of the Alaska State Troopers (AST) to assist in locating and arresting 23-year-old Ketchikan resident, Thomas Shull on his outstanding warrants for MICS IV, DV-Assault IV and Petition to Revoke Probation for MICS IV. On 4/19/17, the AFTF located Shull at a residence in Ketchikan. The AFTF, along with members of the Alaska State Troopers (AST) and Ketchikan Police Department (KPD) executed the arrest warrant. Shull fled to the attic of the residence and refused commands to exit. The AFTF, AST and KPD entered the attic where Shull continued to resist and refused to comply with commands. A taser was deployed and Shull was eventually taken into custody. Shull was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Complex by AST where he was remanded pending court proceedings.

AK17025061Location: WasillaType: DUI
On 4/11/17 at approximately 0351 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a REDDI vehicle and conducted traffic stop on a 2012 Toyota 4-Runner near Parks Highway and Hyer Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Alayna Driskill-Thomas, age 32 of Wasilla, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Driskill-Thomas was subsequently arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was later released on her own recognizance.

AK17025016Location: DillinghamType: SAR
On 4-19-17 at approximately 2000 hours, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers received a report that Craig Lutwyler, age 33 of Montana was hiking on a glacier in the Resolution Mountains, fell and broke his ankle. Other hikers in the area were able to get Lutwyler to a base camp where there was a makeshift landing strip. An Anchorage based air taxi was able to land and pick Lutwyler up in a super cub and transport him to Anchorage and then to a hospital where he is receiving medical treatment.

On 4-17-2017, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers received a report of a Sexual Abuse of A minor that occurred in a Dillingham area village. The case is ongoing at this time.

AK17024902Location: North PoleType: Warrant Arrest
On 04/19/17 at 1500 hours, troopers contacted Daniel Bottomly, age 36 of North Pole, for an outstanding felony warrant. Bottomly was arrested without incident and remanded at FCC.

AK17024814Location: FairbanksType: Warrant Arrest
On 04/19/17 approximately 0939 hours, troopers stopped a small green Subaru while looking for a similar vehicle that fled the area of a vehicle theft. The occupants of the vehicle were found not to be involved with the vehicle theft, but the driver, Timothy Lorkowski, age 29, of Fairbanks, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued on the original offense of Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Lorkowski was arrested without incident and remanded at FCC.

AK17025063Location: FairbanksType: DUI/MICS IV
On April 20, 2017 at 0539 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report on Artic Poppy Dr. Trooper responded and contacted 28 year old Glennallen resident Kyle Bien. Kyle was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV. Kyle was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was remanded.

AK17025035Location: SterlingType: DUI / Refuse Chemical Test
On 4/19/17 at approximately 2206 hours, Soldotna Dispatch received a report of a REDDI vehicle traveling south on the Sterling Highway near Mile 86 crossing over the centerline. Troopers contacted the vehicle at and conducted a traffic stop near mile 88.5 of the Sterling Highway after observing the vehicle cross the center line from the southbound lane into the northbound lane. Investigation determined the driver, Chase J. Sedy, age 29, of Sterling was driving while impaired on alcohol. Sedy later refused to provide a sample of his breath for the Data Master. Sedy was charged with DUI and Refusal to submit to a chemical test, transported and remanded to Wildwood Correctional Facility.

AK17024763Location: SterlingType: Hindering Prosecution I, Vehicle Theft I, and Criminal Mischief V
On 4/19/2017 at approximately 1116 hours, the Alaska State Troopers traffic stopped a teal 2000 Ford F150 for a moving violation near Glacier Avenue, Sterling. During AST contact with the vehicle a passenger fled into the woods. The passenger was not located at that time and later identified as Casey M. Douglas, 39 of Anchorage. Douglas has an active felony warrant for his arrest stemming from unrelated charges. During subsequent investigation Jennifer A. Blankenship, 36 of Anchorage, was contacted. Investigation revealed Blankenship hindered the apprehension of Douglas by concealing his identity. Further Investigation revealed she was on probation and was in violation of her conditions. Blankenship was arrested for a probation violation and the new charges of Hindering Prosecution I, Vehicle Theft I, and Criminal Mischief V. Blankenship was transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility where she was held without bail. AK Wildlife Troopers
AK17020104Location: JuneauType: Failure to Submit Hunt Report
On 4-18-2017, Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Marc Anthony Eala, age 29 of Juneau, for failure to submit a permit hunt report. Investigation revealed Eala failed to submit his RM061 moose harvest report by the December 1, 2016 deadline, per conditions on the permit hunt, to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G). Eala was cited into the District Court at Juneau with a bail amount of $110.00.
