    On 04/04/2019 at about 1335 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to 4113 N. Dartmoor Street in Wasilla for a report of a disturbance in progress.  Investigation revealed Tavita Siaumau, age 18 of Wasilla, had used the door knob to damage the sheet rock behind the door while arguing with a family member.  Tavita was arrested for criminal mischief 5th degree and was transported to Mat Su Pretrial where he was held without bail.

    On 4/3/19 at approximately 2350 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a disturbance located at a residence on W. Stacy Street in Wasilla. Eric Jefferson, age 49 of Wasilla, was contacted and subsequently arrested for an outstanding warrant for failure to comply with ASAP conditions on the original charge of DUI. Jefferson was subsequently remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held pending thee day service.

    On 04/04/2019 at approximately 2026 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report of an intoxicated male leaving the Valley Country Liquor store near E. Bogard Rd. Investigation revealed the driver Dale Roetman, age 33, of Wasilla was intoxicated. Roetman was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. He was released on his own recognizance.

    Type: Human Remains Found- Homicide

    UPDATE: On 5/3/19, a Palmer Grand Jury indicted Adam Drew, age 24 of Big Lake, for Murder 1, two counts of Murder 2, Kidnapping, and Misconduct Involving Weapons 3rd related to the disappearance of Dolly Hampton.  The investigation into Hampton’s disappearance began on December 6th, 2018 when she was reported missing by family members (AK18086642).  After several months of investigation by Mat-Su GIU, SCIU, Palmer CSU, Anchorage ABI/TCU, and Mat-Su Drugs, the investigation determined Drew was responsible for her kidnapping and death.  Drew has been incarcerated on separate, unrelated charges since 1/3/19.  His arraignment for the charges related to murder and kidnapping is set for 5/8/19 at 1430 hours.

    Update: On 4/10/19 the State Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified the remains as that of Dolly Hampton, 57 of Wasilla.  The SME determined the manner of death to be homicide.  A suspect in her disappearance and death has been identified. The suspect is currently incarcerated for an unrelated crime and the investigation is ongoing.  Next of kin has been notified. Hampton was reported missing 12/6/2018 by a family member (AK18086642). She was last known to be in the Wasilla area.  

    Original release: On 4/3/19, at approximately 2000 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a remote area of Big Lake after receiving a report that human remains had been located.  Due to exposure to the elements, positive identification of the remains was impossible.  The remains were collected and sent to the State Medical Examiner's office.  Investigation continues.

    On 4/4/19 at about 1729 hours, Emmonak AST received a report of an assault in Kotlik. It was reported that a male assaulted 2 people while under the influence of alcohol. An investigation is ongoing at this time.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 4-4-19, at approximately 0930 hours, the Manokotak Tribal Police contacted Eric Lomack, age 37, of Manokotak.  Lomackwho was causing a disturbance at a residence.  An investigation disclosed Lomack is on felony Probation for a felony DUI and required not to consume alcohol.  Lomack is also on conditions of release not to violate his probation in another court case.  Lomack was arrested and later transported to the Dillingham regional Jail and held without bail.  Alcohol is a factor in this incident.

    On 4-3-19, at approximately 1045 hours, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers arrested Gust Romie, age 31, of Dillingham for the possession of a controlled substance (heroin) with the intent to distribute.  Further investigation disclosed Romie was on conditions of release in another Dillingham court case.  Romie was transported to the Dillingham Jail and remanded on the above listed charges with no bail pending arraignment.  The Alaska State Troopers  would like to thank the Dillingham Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.

    On 4-3-19, At approximately 1700 hours, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers, contacted an adult male at an air carrier in Dillingham.  The male was transporting 6 bottles of R&R to a Bristol Bay region village.  Manokotak is a local option community that has banned the importation of alcohol.  The male will be issued a summons to appear in the Dillingham court at a later date.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 4/3/19, Alaska State Troopers with the Parks Hwy Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding near Healy Alaska.  Investigation revealed the driver: CRAIG SCHILL-ZONTS, age 19 of North Pole, illegally possessed marijuana being under 21 years of age.  SCHILL-ZONTS was issued a mandatory court appearance misdemeanor citation and released with a promise to appear on charges of MICS 5th Degree.  Further investigation by Troopers revealed the marijuana SCHILL-ZONTS possessed was purchased by a person over 21 years of age at a licensed marijuana dispensary, then later distributed to SCHILL-ZONTS and another individual under 21 years of age.  Charges will be forwarded against the other person/s identified and involved in the illegal re-distribution of marijuana to persons under 21 years of age.

    AST would like to remind Alaskans, it is illegal to purchase marijuana with the intent to re-distribute it to persons under the age of twenty-one (21), doing so could result in misdemeanor or felony level charges depending of the age of those involved and the amount distributed.

    On April 4, 2019 at approximately 0300 hours, The Alaska State Troopers Dispatch in Fairbanks received a report from the La'Quinta Inn and suites of a woman passed out inside the hotel and wants her removed. Investigation revealed the woman was false identifying herself to the Alaska State Troopers. The woman was identified as Cathy Slats, age 26 of Fairbanks. Cathy Slats was arrested on one count false report to a peace officer and remanded at the Fairbanks Correctional Center on no bail.

     On 4-3-19 at 1519 hours, the Soldotna AST K-9 Team received a report of theft from the Save-U-More store in Soldotna. Investigation revealed a theft of merchandise was taken from the store totaling $33.57. The investigation is ongoing.

     On 4-3-19 at 2010 hours, the Soldotna AST K-9 Team contacted a driver of a white 1997 Mitsubishi Montero. A complainant reported the operator of the vehicle as a (REDDI) Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Troy A. Pierce (46) YOA of Soldotna. Investigation revealed Pierce had been driving under the influence. Pierce was arrested for DUI and transported to AST for processing. A records check revealed Pierce has two other convictions for DUI within the last ten years. Pierce was transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was remanded without bail on charges of Felony DUI due to this being the third DUI within ten years.

    While patrolling the marine waters outside of Craig, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers located an unmarked buoy attached to a stainless steel personal use dungy pot. Investigation revealed that the gear was being fished by Seth Winrod. Winrod was issued an AUC for failing to mark his buoy per 5AAC77.010d.

    On 3/31/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, inspected personal use Dungeness crab pots in Fritz Cove.  Investigation revealed that Arthur Chappell, age 55 of Juneau, was operating 2 personal use Dungeness crab pots that were baited with the meat of sport-caught King and Coho salmon.  On 4/4/19, Troopers contacted Chappell and issued him a strict liability citation for using sport-caught fish as bait when prohibited.  Chappell has a mandatory court appearance in the District Court at Juneau.

    Type: Boating Under the Influence, Fail to Provide Factual Information On Shrimp Permit

    On 4/3/19, at approximately 2030 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Robert Bornemann, age 58 of Juneau, at the Amalga Harbor launch ramp after he had just returned from personal use shrimping.  Investigation revealed that Bornemann was operating his boat under the influence of alcohol.  Further investigation revealed that Bornemann had falsified the location from which he had harvested shrimp.  Bornemann was placed under arrest for boating under the influence (BUI), and issued a $220.00 citation for failing to provide factual information on his shrimp permit.  Bornemann has a mandatory court appearance in the District Court at Juneau.

    On 4-4-19, at approximately 1711 hours, The Alaska State Troopers Bureau of Highway Patrol stopped on a Dodge Durango for an equipment violation near mile 1 Knik Goose Bay Road in Wasilla. The driver was identified as Miguel Gonzalez, age 41 of Wasilla. Gonzalez was charged for driving with a revoked license and released on scene.
