    On 5/10/19 at approximately 1915 hours, Alaska State Troopers with the assistance of the Palmer Criminal Suppression Unit responded to a residence on Julie Marie Circle to contact Rory Vail, age 29 of Wasilla. Vail was located in a structure on the property hiding in a small closest. Vail had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. Vail was arrested for his warrants and transported to Mat Su Pretrial for remand where he was held without bail. Charges for Hindering Prosecution are being forwarded to the District Attorneys Office on the occupants of the residence.

    On 05/10/2019 at approximately 1211 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the Mat-Su Regional Hospital in Palmer for a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Adair Burke, age 27 of Palmer, made repeated threats to cause serious injury to the staff of the hospital. Burke was arrested and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.

    *Please note that this is a separate incident from the threat to a highschool that AST assisted the Palmer Police Department with on 5/9/2019. That threat was reported to PPD on 5/8/2019. That incident is an ongoing investigation by PPD, with AST assistance.

    Original text: On 5/9/2019 Palmer Police Department and Alaska State Troopers were made aware that a threat to shoot students at Palmer Junior Middle School was made from an Instagram account. Investigation led to the arrest of a Palmer Junior Middle School student. The juvenile is charged with multiple felonies related to the threat. The juvenile was remanded to Mat-Su Youth Facility.  The Alaska State Troopers worked in conjunction with the Palmer Police Department, AST Technical Crimes Unit, AST General Investigative Unit, The FBI Anchorage Office, Palmer Junior Middle School Administrators, and the Mat Su School District Student Safety Office to resolve this case.

    On 5/10/19 at approximately 0134 hours, Alaska State Trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Ford Taurus for an equipment violation on E. Bogard Road near Copper Creek in Wasilla. Investigation determined Martin Boardman, age 54 of Wasilla, provided false information concerning his identity while attempting to avoid apprehension for an outstanding arrest warrant for a Probation Violation on the original charge of Burglary 1st degree. Boardman was subsequently arrested for the warrant and charged with the additional crime of False Information. Boardman was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held pending arraignment.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/9/19 at approximately 2254 hours, Alaska State Troopers received three REDDI reports of a white Chevrolet Blazer that was swerving all over the road on Knik Goose Bay Rd. AST later received a report of a vehicle matching that description rolled over on Point Mackenzie Rd and the driver crawled out of the vehicle, leaving the scene before Troopers arrived. When AST arrived, Sherry Barclay, age 43 of Wasilla, was found hiding in the marsh a short distance away from the scene. Investigation revealed, Barclay was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Barclay was arrested, transported and remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer with a $500 bail.

    On 5/9/2019 the Alaska State Trooper (AST) and Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) personnel in Bethel were notified that a $100,000 arrest warrant had been issued out of the Fairbank 4th judicial District Court for area resident Cornelius Benedict (age 47 of Emmonak) for the charges of Murder in the 1st degree and Tamper with Physical Evidence.  On 5/9/2019 at approximately 1650 hours, Benedict was located in Bethel by SDEU and AST personnel.  Benedict was arrested and remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center.

    Type: Assault 3, MIW 4, Reckless Endangerment

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/9/19 at approximately 2120 hours, the Ekwok VPSO received a report that Earlene McGill age 22 of Ekwok, pointed a rifle at a male adult and another female intervened and pushed the gun up as the gun fired. No one was injured. Investigation revealed McGill was intoxicated and she was arrested for Assault 3, MIW 4, and Reckless Endangerment. She was held overnight at the Ekwok jail and released by the court the following morning.

    On 5/10/19 at about 1445 hours, Dillingham AST received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Nondalton. Investigation revealed Marvin Balluta Sr., age 61 of Nondalton, assaulted a male and female adult by hitting them in the head causing minor injuries. Balluta was arrested and booked at Dillingham Jail pending arraignment.

    Location: Fairbanks
    Type: Fail to Yield

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/9/2019, at approximately 2109 hours, Fairbanks AST attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle for a traffic violation. The motorcycle accelerated away from Troopers and merged onto the Mitchell Expressway. The vehicle changed lanes multiple times without signaling, and then exited the expressway at University Ave. On University Ave. the motorcycle began to weave between vehicles to pass them, splitting the lanes. AST discontinued the pursuit due to public safety concerns.

    The motorcycle was spotted turning onto Sportsman Way several minutes later and stopped by FPD. The driver was identified as Austin Hebenstreit, age 19 of Fort Wainwright. Austin was placed under arrest and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without bail. Austin has been charged with Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer in the First Degree.

    On 05-09-19 at approximately 2325 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a brown GMC SUV for a red-light violation on the Johansen Expressway in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed Dennis Huntington, age 36 of Fairbanks, provided False Information concerning his name. Investigation further revealed Ava Vent, age 38 of Fairbanks, hindered prosecution of Huntington. Huntington was remanded to FCC on one count Providing False Information and Vent was remanded to FCC on one count of Hindering Prosecution 2nd Degree.

    On 05-09-19 at approximately 2054 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on red Toyota Tacoma near MP 346 of the Richardson Highway near North Pole. Investigation revealed Michael Boseman, age 30 of Petersburg, had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for multiple charges related to Domestic Violence. Boseman was arrested on the warrant and remanded to FCC. Bail was set at No Bail.

    On 05-10-19 at approximately 0125, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks responded a report of a Domestic Violence incident at a residence on Waugstroe in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed Deborah Lillie, age 58 of Fairbanks, placed a family member in fear of imminent physical injury. Lillie was remanded to FCC on one (1) count Assault 4th Degree/DV.

    Type: Assault-4, DV, Violating Conditions of Release (VCOR).

    Dispatch Text:

     On 5-10-19 at 1741 hours, the Soldotna AST K-9 Team responded to a report of a disturbance occurring at a residence located near Mile 90 of the Sterling Highway in Soldotna. Upon arrival, AST contacted Frank Standifer, (45) YOA of Sterling Alaska. Investigation revealed a physical altercation occurred between Standifer and his wife. Standifer was arrested and transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was remanded on charges of Assault 4th, Domestic Violence and VCOR is currently being held without bail.

    On 5/9/19 at approximately 1849 hours, Soldotna Base AST received a report of a possible Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO) violation. Investigation revealed, Joshua McDonnell (age 36 of Soldotna) violated the DVPO. McDonnell was taken into custody and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial Facility on the charge of Violating a Protective Order, no bail.

    On May 9, 2019 the Alaska State Troopers (AST) received a tip that Miranda Martinez, age 32, of Clam Gulch was staying at a residence in Anchor Point. Miranda had two outstanding $5,000 warrants. AST responded to the residence and contacted Miranda. Miranda was arrested and remanded to the Homer Jail for her outstanding warrants.

    Type: Nonresident Participate in Personal Use Fishery, Retain Personal Use Red King Crab Closed Season, Unlawful Methods & Means for Taking King Crab

    On 5/23/19 Juno failed to appear for his arraignment.  A default judgement was entered against Juno in the District Court at Juneau as a result.  Juno was fined $520.00 for using an illegal method to take king crabs.  Additionally, Juno's sport fish license was revoked for a period of one year.  This fine was in addition to the other two citations he was issued.

    On 5/8/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, received an anonymous report that a man had taken Red King Crab while fishing with a rod and reel off the Auke Bay Harbor dock.  Subsequent investigation revealed Dakota Juno, age 22 of Richland Center, WI, had caught and retained 2 Red King Crab while fishing with a rod and reel off the Auke Bay Harbor Dock.  Juno was contacted at a local hotel and issued a $320.00 citation for retaining personal use Red King Crab during a closed season, a $220.00 citation for being a nonresident participating in a personal use fishery, and a strict liability citation for unlawful methods and means to take shellfish.  Juno has a mandatory court appearance in the District Court at Juneau.

    On 5/5/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Maison Collins, age 31 of Gillette, WY, sport fishing in Windham Bay.  Investigation revealed that Collins was sport fishing with the use of more than 1 line when prohibited.  Collins was issued a $120.00 citation in the District Court at Juneau for sport fishing with more than 1 line.
