    On 5/12/17 at about 1800 hours AST arrested Bobby Saloka (46 YOA, Palmer) for having active arrest warrants from Chisago County, Minnesota. Saloka was contacted for a traffic violation. He was remanded without bail at Mat-Su Pre-Trial.

    On May 12, 2017 at approximately 10:15 A.M.  The Alaska State Troopers contacted Alan Broeke at a residence on Goldhill road.  A check through APSIN revealed Broeke to have an outstanding $2500 felony warrant for Larceny.  Broeke was arrested on his warrant and remanded to FCC, to be held on $2500 bail.

    On May 12, 2017 at 1727 hours, AST contacted Whitney Hernandez (age 25) of Fairbanks at a local business.  A check through APSIN revealed Hernandez had two outstanding $2,000 warrants for Assault IV and Unlawful Contact.  Hernandez was arrested, and remanded to FCC to be held on $4,000 bail.

    On May 12, 2017 at 1838 hours, AST contacted Melody Perry (age 36) of North Pole, at a residence on Bottles Street.  A check through APSIN revealed Perry had an outstand $15,000 felony warrant for burglary 1, burglary 2, and theft II x2.  APSIN also revealed Perry to have a $500 misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on charges of theft IV.  Perry was placed under arrest at 1840 hours, and subsequently remanded to FCC to be held on $15,500 bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On May 12th, 2017 at approximately 1003 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Sandpiper Court, Kenai for an investigation. Investigation revealed Sherika D. Hatten, age 24 of Kasilof, had an active misdemeanor warrant for FTA for arraignment for the original charge of Criminal Trespass. Hatten was arrested for the warrant and transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility where she was remanded and held on $250.00 bail.

    Type: Death Investigation

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/12/17 at approximately 2107 hours, the US Coast Guard notified the Alaska State Troopers of a death on a fishing vessel. The fishing vessel, Lady Angela, was located near Shelikof Straight. Crew members aboard the fishing vessel reported the captain, David Duarte, age 62 of Seward, had passed away. Alaska State Troopers met the fishing vessel when it arrived in Seward on 5/12/17 at approximately 0946 hours. The investigation revealed Duarte was last seen alive in the early morning hours on 5/11/17. Duarte was found deceased in his state room at approximately 1930 hours on 5/11/17. The State Medical Examiner’s office was contacted and released the body to the family. There are no signs of foul play. Duarte’s next of kin, Frank Duarte, age 52 of Seward, was notified of the death.

    Type: False Statement on Sport Fish License Application

    Dispatch Text:

    On 05/11/17 at 1650 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Seward Post, issued a citation to Rachel Tanya Gordon, 28 yoa of Seward, in the Seward Harbor, for making a false statement on a sport fish license application. An investigation by Troopers revealed Gordon applied for and obtained a 2017 Alaska Resident Sport Fish License when she did not qualify for it. Bail is set at $310. An optional court appearance is scheduled in the Seward District Court.
