    Dispatch Text:

    On June 6, 2018 Alaska State Trooper dispatch received a report of a disturbance on Fairview loop.  The complainant/victim reported his roommate, Oscar Whaley 36 yo of Wasilla, attack him from behind and began to punch him. Troopers responded to the area and located both the victim and the suspect.  Investigation revealed, Oscar was the primary principle aggressor.  He was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 4th degree and was remanded to Matsu pretrial with no bail.

    Type: Burglary, Criminal Mischief 3rd and Trespass in the 1st degree

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/10/2018, AST dispatch received a report of a Burglary, Criminal Mischief 3rd and Trespass in the 1st degree from S KALIAK LP/S MALASPINA LP in Talkeetna.  The victim stated someone had taken  two chainsaws and a generator worth approximately $1200 and caused vandalism and damage to the resident totaling $500.  The video evidence at the scene is being analyzed and possible suspects are being identified.  The investigation is ongoing and the public is encouraged to contact Alaska State Troopers dispatch at 352-5401 or Crime Stoppers.

    Location: Wasilla
    Type: Death Investigation

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/09/2018 at approximately 1444 hours, Alaska Railroad Crew, called 911 to report a passenger was having trouble breathing.  Mat-Su Borough EMS and Troopers arrived and board the train at the railroad crossing on E Fireweed in Wasilla.  On board RUBY HEACOCK, 77 yo of Marion, OH was located in the isle way unresponsive.  Palmer AST and Mat-Su Borough EMS performed CPR and other lifesaving measures.  RUBY HEACOCK died on scene of natural causes.  The medical examiner’s office responded to the scene and released R. HEACOCK remains to Anchorage funeral home.  Next of Kin was on scene, there are no signs of foul play at this time, investigation continues.

    06/08/2018, at approximately 1903 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a medical assist at 12562 W Hollywood Road in Big Lake. Investigation revealed Alexie Nose had a warrant for $100 fail to comply with ASAP for DUI. Nose was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-trial where he was held on $100 bail.

    On 06/09/2018 at approximately 0113 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 Toyota Sudan at the intersection of N Elsinore Ave and Gardner Way in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Joseph Gave, age 26 of Wasilla, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Gave was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and later released on his own recognizance.

    On 06/09/2018 at approximately 1824, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a suspicious circumstance at Hollywood Rd in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that a silver sedan shot three times in the direction of a residence.  The AST was unable to locate the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing at this time.     On 06/10/2018 at approximately 0207 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a truck for an equipment violation near 185.5 Glenn Highway in Glennallen. AST investigation revealed the backseat passenger identified as Deanna Chilligan, 29 yoa of Mentasta, had an outstanding warrant out for her arrest. Deanna was arrested and transported to Glennallen where she is being held with bail at $5,000 + CATP.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 6/10/18 at approximaely 0105 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of 4414 Harbor Rd in Big Lake for a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Maximino Gonzales age 27 of Anchorage assaulted someone on scene. Mardi Gonzales age 26 of Anchorage caused property damage. Both were arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where their bail was set at no bail.

    On 06/09/2018 at approximately 1915 hours, AST received a call about a theft on C Street in Talkeetna. The investigation revealed Leah Moraes, age 24 of Anchorage walked out of a business with approximately $190 in cash. AST was unable to Located Moraes on arrival.     Type: Motor Vehicle Accident – Hit & Run

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/09/2018, at about 1901 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a two vehicle collision at mile 82 of the Parks Highway in Talkeetna. Investigation revealed that an unknown person driving a green Wasilla, driving a 2001 Ford F-150 back into a truck waiting on the road to open. The vehicles were not disabled in the collision and only sustained minor damage. The driver of the Ford F-150 fled the scene prior to AST arrival and was not located. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information on this incident are encouraged to contact Troopers at 352-5401.

    On June 9, 2018 at approximately 2300 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance in Noorvik. The investigation revealed an adult family member was assaulted and property was damaged. A suspect has been identified. Village Police Officers were dispatched to attempt to arrest the suspect however the suspect had left the village. An arrest warrant will be filed.

    On 6-10-18 at 0911 hours, St. Mary's AST received a report of a Domestic Disturbance in Mountain Village.  Subsequent investigation revealed Gregory Askoak-age 21 of Mountain Village, assaulted two family members and damaged several pieces of property at their residence.  Askoak was subsequently charged  with two counts of Assault in the Fourth Degree and three counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.  Askoak was arrested and transported to YKCC for remand pending Arraignment.

    On 6/9/2018, Alaska Wildlife Troopers at Juneau Post contacted Travis Jones, age 35 of Juneau. Investigation revealed Jones retained an undersized Dungeness Crab. Jones was cited into the District Court at Juneau with a bail amount of $130.

    Dispatch Text:

    On June 10, 2018 at 2139 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers conducted a traffic stop at Big Lake Road and Shotgun Drive on a blue Chevy pickup for equipment violations. Investigation revealed the passenger, Thomas Beattie 58 YOA of Wasilla, had a felony warrant for parole violation on an original charge of felony DUI. Beattie was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held without bail.

    Location: Wrangell
    Type: No Sport Fishing License and Retain King Salmon Closed Waters

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/09/2018 at 1103 hours Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Wrangell Post contacted Jeffrey Darr, age 62 and Johnny Loftus, age 52 both from Utah.  Investigation determined Loftus did not have his Sport Fishing License in his possession and Darr was in possession of a King Salmon in waters closed to the retention of King Salmon.  Loftus was issued a $210 citation for Sport Fishing without License in Possession.  Loftus was issued a $260 citation for Possession of King Salmon in Closed Waters.  Both citations were in the District Court at Wrangell.  The King Salmon was seized and donated to charity. 

     

    Fishermen are reminded they cannot be in possession of a King Salmon in waters which are closed to retention of King Salmon.

    On 6-8-18, Ethan Birkholtz 62 YOA of Fairbanks, was issued a citation by the Valdez Wildlife Trooper for sportfishing for halibut with two lines, near Naked Island.  Bail set at $110 in the Valdez Court.

    Type: Black Bear Bait site near cabin

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/09/18 at 1230 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Cantwell Post, issued a citation to Chad Edward Parsons, 42 yoa of Anderson, in Nenana for establishing a black bear bait site within 1 mile of a cabin. During a skiff patrol of the Tanana River, out of Nenana, Troopers investigated Parson's bait site and discovered it was established within 1 mile of a cabin. Arraignment is scheduled in the Nenana District Court for 06/18/2018 at 1330 hours.
