    On 6/4/2019 at approximately 1229 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of damage to a vehicle at a residence on N Williwaw Way in Wasilla. Investigation revealed someone punched a hole in the gas tank causing approximately $1000 in damages. Approximately 5 gallons of fuel was also reported stolen. Investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

    Type: Felony DUI and Refusal

    On 06/04/2019, at approximately 2004 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the vicinity of Mile 8 Knik Goose Bay Road for a report of a ATV rollover collision.  Investigation revealed that Allen Drumbarger, age 34 of Wasilla, had been operating the ATV while under the influence of alcohol.  Drumbarger also refused to provide a breath sample.  Drumbarger was arrested and transported to the MATSU Pre-Trial Facility where he was remanded without bail for felony DUI and for Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

    On 5/16/19, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that a 15 year old male had given candy to a 5 year old female on the school bus, in exchange for her having sexual contact with the male. The 5 year old was interviewed at The Children’s Place, in Wasilla, and disclosed sexual contact with the 15 year old while on the school bus. The video was obtained from the school bus which corroborated the statements of the 5 year old. Charges against the 15 year old for Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the fourth degree are being forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

    On 06/04/2019 at approximately 1501 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance in the area of Overby Dr. in Wasilla. Investigation revealed an individual recklessly caused injury to a domestic partner and left the area. Charges are being forwarded to the Palmer DA.

    On 06/04/2019 at approximately 1603 hours the Alaska State Troopers, along with Matsu Valley EMS, responded to a motor vehicle collision at mile 32 of the Glenn Hwy. Investigation revealed a red SUV collided with a pickup hauling a camper on the southbound Knik River bridge. The driver of the pickup was transported with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was transported with serious injuries. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor.

    On 6/5/2019 at about 1650 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of 1339 N. Williwaw Way in Wasilla to the report of a suspected stolen vehicle and the possible sighting of a man with a warrant. Investigation revealed the vehicle was not stolen.  39 yo Jason’s Freeland of Wasilla was contacted at the residence and subsequently arrested on two separate warrants for Failing to appear. Freeland was remanded to MatSu Pretrial Facility where he was held on $300 bail.

    Type: DUI drugs, MICS 2nd degree x 2

    On 6/04/2019 at approximately 0902 hours, AST responded to a welfare check on a male passed out behind the wheel in the parking lot of the Big Lake Library in Big Lake.  Investigation revealed James Pistro, age 28 of Wasilla, was passed out in the driver seat of his 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix with the engine running.  Further investigation revealed Pistro was under the influence of an intoxicating substance. During the investigation AST discovered two small baggies containing crystal methamphetamine and black tar heroin inside the vehicle.  Pistro was arrested for DUI-drugs and misconduct involving controlled substance in the 2nd degree x 2, with the possession being within 500’ of a recreational area of the Jordan Lake Park in Big Lake.  Pistro was remanded to Matsu Pretrial Facility awaiting arraignment.

    Type: Burglary, theft, criminal mischief, warrant arrest

    On 11/12/2018, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a burglary at the city building in Napakiak.  The suspect had used a crow bar to break into the building and steal a safe that was bolted down, along with other misc. items.  Alfred Evan (age 52 of Napakiak) was positively identified through DNA and video evidence as being responsible for the burglary.  An arrest warrant was requested and issued in the amount of $15,000.  On 6/5/2019 Evan was arrested at the Bethel courthouse, where he was attending court for an unrelated criminal matter.  A Bethel CSO took him into custody and remanded him to YKCC. Evan is charged with Burglary 2nd, Theft 3rd, and Criminal Mischief 5th.

    On 6/5/19, at 1105 hours, Parks Hwy Trooper and Nenana VPSO made contact with Neil Jensen age 47 of Nenana.  Jensen had a no bail arrest warrant for failure to report to jail.  Jensen was arrested without incident and transported to FCC.  Jensen was remanded to complete his court order judgment.

    On 6-5-19 at approximately 1731 hours Alaska State Troopers contacted Sharissa Henry (age 19 from Tanacross) as the diver of a 1988 Oldsmobile Supreme which had broken down in a construction zone near mile 1309 of the Alaska Highway.  Investigation revealed that Henry was under the influence and impaired by alcohol.  The vehicle was also occupied by Henry’s mother who also appeared intoxicated.  Henry was arrested for DUI and charged with Minor Operating after Consuming Alcohol.  The vehicle was released to a sober, licensed driver.  Henry was transported to the Tok Trooper Post where she was processed for DUI and later released on her own recognizance and on Conditions of Release.

    On 6-3-19 at approximately 1525 hours Alaska State Troopers arrested Amber L. Dibble (age 48 from Tok) for DUI after investigation revealed Dibble had driven her 2004, black, Ford Excursion to the Tok Trooper Post while under the influence and impaired by alcohol.  Dibble was processed for DUI and later released on her own recognizance and under conditions of release.

    On 6/4/19 at approximately 1800 hours the Alaska State Troopers received report of a single vehicle crash near mile 28 of the Kenai Spur Hwy. AST responded to the site of the crash where medics from Nikiski were already on scene. Investigation revealed the driver, Baykham Xayasomroth, age 52 of Anchorage, fell asleep while driving and ran off the road. The driver and one passenger were not hurt, however two other passengers were transported to Central Peninsula Hospital for minor injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this incident.

    On 5/16/19 at approximately 1302 hours, AST received a report from the owner of Permafrost Distributors who stated that two individuals were at his store the day before and stole a "sniff jar".  Investigation revealed Amber Barr, 29 of Anchorage and Jericka Roundtree, 42 of Anchorage, worked together to steal the jar that was full of marijuana.  Barr and Roundtree were subsequently charged with Theft 4 and Concealment of Merchandise.

    Location: Port Chalmers, Prince William Sound
    Type: Gillnet Specifications and Operations, No Crewmember License

    On June 4, 2019, at approximately 9:46 am, Alaska Wildlife Troopers based out of Cordova received a report of a commercial fishing boat in Port Chalmers operating their drift gillnet in an illegal manner. Troopers responded to the area and at approximately 4:05 pm, contacted F/V Alaska Dreams. Subsequent investigation resulted in 27 year old Cordova resident Kevan CORELLA receiving a citation for operating his drift gillnet in an unlawful manner. The citation has a mandatory court appearance of June 19, 2019 at the Cordova Court. Kevan was also cited for employing an unlicensed crewmember, 56 year old Washington resident Mark ADAMS. Mark received a citation for commercial fishing without a crewmember license. Bail is set at $270 each.

    On 06/03/2019, Charles W Williamson 60, of Ketchum California, John G Mackay 57, of Camas Washington, Bob Rondeau 65, of Camas Washington, and David Swisher 61, of Sisters Oregon, were cited by Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Ketchikan Post, for failing to immediately log yelloweye rockfish on their sport fishing license.  The fishermen were cited after they were contacted while fishing near Cape Muzon. Investigation revealed the fishermen had retained four yelloweye rockfish and had not logged them on their 2019 sport fishing licenses as required. Bail is set at $120 each in the POW district court.
