Alaska State Troopers Press Release of Friday, July 14, 2017

AK17047856Location: JuneauType: Assault
On 7/14/17, at 0809 hours, the Lemon Creek Correctional Center reported that on 7/13/17, a 24 year old male inmate had assaulted a 30 year old inmate in the jail. The 30 year old inmate sustained minor injuries and he was treated at LCCC. Incident is under investigation.

AK17047834Location: PalmerType: Warrant Arrest
On 07/14/17, at approximately 0339 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Jared Dulinski, age 25, of Wasilla, during a traffic stop. Investigation revealed Dulinski had a no bail parole warrant out for his arrest, stemming from charges of Assault III, Failing to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer and violating conditions of release. Dulinkski was arrested and remanded to MATSU Pretrial.

AK17047827Location: FairbanksType: DUI/MIW4
On 7/14/17 at approximately 0237 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Nathan Bowder, 22 years old of Fairbanks. Investigation revealed Bowder was driving under the influence and in possession of a loaded handgun. Bowder was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was ultimately released on his own recognizance.

AK17047815Location: FairbanksType: Warrant Arrest
On 7/13/17 at 2353 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. Passenger Rainee Norton, 21 years old of Fairbanks, was found to have two outstanding warrants for driving without a valid license. The warrants totaled $150. Norton was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was remanded.

AK17046350Location: North PoleType: DUI Drugs and MICS 5
On 7/9/17 at 0413 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Mary Melchert, 29 years old of North Pole. Investigation revealed that Melchert was driving under the influence and in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Melchert was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On 7/8/17 at 2307 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence in North Pole for the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed that Bonnie Sibley, 41 years old of Fairbanks, assaulted a family member. Sibley was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was held without bail.

AK17047761Location: AnchorageType: SAR
On 7/13/17 at approximately 1822 hours, the Anchorage Police Department notified and requested assistance from the Alaska State Troopers for the report of a missing autistic 10 year old child. The child was hiking on the Prospect Heights Trail with a group when he became separated. The child was last seen at approximately 1630 hours at the intersection of the Prospect Heights Trial and the Basher Trail. APD responded and sent several officers on the trails to conduct hasty searches. AST organized volunteer search groups which included the Alaska Mountain Rescue Group, Alaska Search and Rescue Dogs, and the Anchorage Nordic Ski Patrol. At approximately 2032 hours the child was located and reunited with his family. A couple of hikers located the child wandering near the Hilltop Ski area, escorted him down to the chalet and notified APD. The child was uninjured.

AK17047899Location: SoldotnaType: MIW 4th, Warrant Arrest
On July 14th, 2017 at approximately 1021 hours, the Alaska State Troopers and Kenai Adult Probation Officers responded to a residence on Knackstedt Street, Soldotna for a report of two subjects with active warrants. Investigation revealed Randall F. Self, age 26 of Soldotna, had two active warrants for his arrest. The first was for FTA for a remand hearing for the original charge of PTRP ASAP and the second was for FTA for a remand hearing for the original charge of PTRP DV Int Program. Randall was also in possession of brass knuckles. Further investigation revealed Russell P. Self, age 26 of Soldotna, had an active felony arrest warrant for a PTRP technical violation and was on supervised probation out of Kenai. Russell was issued a misdemeanor citation for MIW 4th and arrested for his warrant. Russell was arrested for his warrant. Both parties were transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility where they were remanded and held without bail.

On 07/13/2017, Keith Taylor 40 YOA of Eagle River, was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Soldotna Post for failing to record 12 salmon onto his personal use permit during the Kenai River dip-net fishery. Bail is set at $110.00 in Kenai District Court.
