    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/15/2019 at approximately 1220 hours, Ketchikan AST received a call from 49 year old Alberta P. Shields of Ketchikan reporting she was lost between Perseverance and Carlanna Lakes and could not find the trail.  The dispatcher was able to obtain GPS coordinates from Shields to determine her exact location.  The Ketchikan Volunteer Rescue Squad (KVRS) was contacted and responded to the scene with a helicopter.  At approximately 1420 hours, KVRS returned to Ketchikan with Shields.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 07-15-2019, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle collision near 6.4 mile of South Tongass highway. Investigation revealed 19-year-old Eveyln Bercher of Minnesota was operating a northbound 2004 Jeep on South Tongass highway. Bercher lost control of the Jeep after becoming distracted and drove off the roadway. The Jeep traveled approximately 320 feet going in and out of the northbound ditch and coming to rest against a rock wall. South Tongass EMS responded, Bercher reported wearing her seatbelt and had no complaint of injuries. The Jeep sustained extensive damage.

    Location: Willow
    Type: Felony Eluding; Reckless Endangerment; Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 07/14/19 at 2330 hours, AST observed a white 2009 Chevy van suspected in numerous Willow thefts traveling northbound on the Parks Highway in Willow near mile post 88. AST attempted a traffic stop on the van for erratic driving and equipment violations. The van sped off reaching 100 mph and failed to stop while driving recklessly. The van was stopped 47 minutes later at mile post 153 of the Parks Highway. The vehicle was driven by Terry Vincent Brown, age 37 of Willow, who had 3 outstanding Felony AST warrants and a Federal warrant for probation violation. Brown was arrested without further incident for the original charges of Fail to Stop at the Direction of Peace Officer in the 1st Degree and Reckless Endangerment (DV). Cantwell AST arrived shortly after the stop to assist. Brown was transported to the MSPT facility in Palmer where he was remanded into custody.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 07/14/2019 at approximately 1543 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Wasilla Fishhook Road in Wasilla for a report of a Robbery. Investigation revealed a 29 year old Palmer male observed a friend's stolen ATV driving by a 34 year old Wasilla male. The 29 year old male brandished and fired a firearm towards the ATV as it was still occupied by the other man. Charges for Theft II will be forwarded to the Palmer DA Office on the male who was riding the stolen ATV. Charges for Robbery I, Assault III, & MIW IV will be forwarded to the DA Office on the 29 year old male. Investigation into this incident is ongoing. Any possible witnesses are urged to contact Troopers at 745-2131.

    On 7-15-19, at approximately 0915 hours, Alaska State Troopers, Palmer Judicial Services warrant unit contacted Jacob Waibel, age 19 of Wasilla for a warrant service at the Palmer Court. Investigation revealed that Waibel had an outstanding warrant for violating conditions of release; original charge Assault 4 DV. Waibel was arrested without incident and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial. Bail was set no bail.

    On 07/15/2019 at approximately 1548 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Red Shirt Lake Trailhead in Willow for a report of a vehicle break in. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s)  intentionally caused less than $750 in damage in an attempt to gain entry to a parked vehicle. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact Troopers at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

    On 7/14/2019, at approximately 2131 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a disturbance on Fairview Loop Rd near Coten Dr in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Adrianna Dugan, age 21 of Wasilla, had committed the crime of Disorderly Conduct. She was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where she was remanded and later released on her own recognizance.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/4/19 at 0819 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a man that fell overboard, off the coast of Nome. David Whitemarsh, 56 of Washington, fell off of the tug, while in the process of towing a barge into the Port of Nome. Whitemarsh was pulled from the water, however, life saving efforts were unsuccessful.  The remains were sent to the State Medical Examiner for further investigation.

    On 7/14/19 at 1320 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence off Dorothy Rd. in Kasilof. While at the residence contact was made with Michael Caine Holland, 48 of Sterling. Investigation revealed Holland had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear for pretrial hearing with an original charge of Improper Use of Registration. Holland was arrested and remanded at Wildwood pretrial with a $50 bail.

    On 7/14/19 at 1035 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a male violating his third party requirements at a residence near mile 90.5 Sterling Hwy in Soldotna. Investigation revealed Tyler Joseph Fuxa, 27 of Soldotna, was violating his third party requirements by leaving the sight and sound of his third party custodian. Fuxa was arrested and remanded at Wildwood pretrial without bail.

    On 7/15/2019 at approximately 0016 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a maroon 2010 Ford Expedition for a traffic violation near milepost 1 Kenai Spur Road.  Tommy Phillip, age 43 of Wasilla, was identified as the driver of the vehicle.  Investigation revealed he was in possession of 46 sockeye salmon that had not been recorded on his personal use permit as required.  He was issued a minor offense citation for Fail to Record.  David Nose, age 21 of Wasilla, was identified as a passenger.  He was found to be in possession of 9 sockeye salmon that had not been recorded on his personal use permit as required.  Further, he was found to have a warrant for his arrest for unrelated wildlife violations.  Nose was arrested and remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility for the outstanding warrant.  Bail was set at $500.  He was also issued a minor offense citation for Fail to Record.

    On 7/15/2019 at approximately 0159 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a brown 1986 Chevrolet pickup near milepost 2 Kenai Spur Road for equipment violations.  Willard Hutson, age 60 of Soldotna, was identified as the driver.  Investigation revealed his driver's license was revoked for DUI and he had no insurance on the vehicle.  He was issued misdemeanor citations for Driving While License Revoked and No Insurance.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 07/14/2019 at approximately 2208 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report on a blue Ford F150 traveling from Nikiski towards Kenai. Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Kenai McDonalds. Investigation revealed the driver Nicolas Linderman age 37 from Nikiski, was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Linderman was also in possession of a handgun and he did not immediately notify law enforcement of the concealed handgun. Linderman was charged with DUI, MIW4, MIW5 and remanded at Wildwood Pretrial with bail set a $500.

    On July 15th, 2019 at approximately 1433 hours, the Alaska State Troopers stopped a black 2003 Chevrolet Silverado for equipment violations near Cabin Lake Road, Nikiski. Investigation revealed Jessica R. Spurgeon, age 40 of Kenai, was operating the vehicle while impaired. Spurgeon was arrested for DUI. Spurgeon was transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility where she was remanded and held on $250.00 bail.

    On 7/15/19 at 1350 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on an older Ford pickup on North Cohoe Lp. Road in Kasilof. Upon contact with the driver, Randall Adrian Carter Jr., 48 of Kasilof, he stated he had no license or insurance. Further investigation revealed his passenger, Suzi Shari Hutchins, 26 of Kasilof, had five outstanding warrants (4 bench and 1 arrest) for Failure to Appear to Pretrial Conference Hearings X 3 with original charges of Violating Conditions of Release, Failure to Appear for pretrial conference hearing for Assault 4th degree, and Violating Conditions of Release. Carter Jr. was issued misdemeanor court citations for Driving with a Suspended License and No Insurance, and Hutchins was arrested on her outstanding warrants. Hutchins was transported and remanded at Wildwood pretrial with a $750 bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/14/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Troy Kosbruk, 23, of Anchorage, during a traffic stop near Soldotna. During the contact, Troopers discovered that Kosbruk was in possession of multiple unlogged personal-use salmon from a dipnet fishery. Kosbruk was issued a citation for failing to log his salmon.

    On 7/14/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Anthony Mathews, 44, of Anchorage, during a traffic stop. Troopers determined that Mathews was impaired by alcohol and controlled substances, and Mathews was placed under arrest. Mathews was transported and remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on charges of DUI, Refusal of a Chemical Test, and two counts of Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances in the 5th Degree. Mathews also received citations for Driving with a Revoked License and Open Alcohol Container.

    On 07/14/2019 at about 1433 hours, Juneau AWT conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was reportedly involved in a road rage incident.  Investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Christopher Lester, age 33 of Juneau was intoxicated.  Christopher was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and ultimately transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center where he was remanded on the charge.

    On 07/14/19 at 1730 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Soldotna Post, issued citations to Nicole Renee Oels, 40 yoa of Wasilla, and to Norman Gary Paul Lingley SR, 47 yoa of Wasilla, for obtaining two Cook Inlet Personal Use salmon permits for their household. Lingley was also issued a citation for failing to record his catch of salmon on his permit as required. Arraignment is scheduled in the Kenai District Court on August 1, 2019 at 1330 hours for both.
