    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/17/19 at approximately 0039 hours Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence off of Schrock Road in Wasilla. During the investigation AST contacted Hailey Grangaard, age 33 of Wasilla. It was determined that Grangaard committed the crime of Disorderly Conduct and would not stop despite multiple warnings. Grangaard was subsequently arrested for Disorderly Conduct and remanded at MSPT on her own recognizance. Alcohol was a factor.

    Type: Search & Rescue/ Accidental Death

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/16/2019, at approximately 2009 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a missing 17-month-old female who had wandered off near the area of Sullivan Avenue in Palmer. The child was reported missing by a family member. Neighbors and volunteers were actively searching the surrounding area, prior to AST arrival. The child was missing approximately 30-45 minutes before being found in Bodenburg Creek. Life saving measures were administered at the scene. Butte Fire and Mat-Su Water Rescue assisted with search and rescue efforts. The child was transported by EMS to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for continued life-saving care. She was then transported by LifeMed to Providence Alaska Medical Center’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She was pronounced deceased early morning of 7/17/2019. There is no evidence of foul play involved. Next of kin has been notified.

    On 7/17/2019 at approximately 1656 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the Holiday gas station on the Parks Highway and Mile 49 for a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI). Investigation revealed Terry D. Phillips-Tomlinson, age 34, of Fairbanks was driving under the influence. Phillips-Tomlinson was arrested for DUI and Refusal to submit to a chemical test and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial with bail set at $500 cash.

    Type: Assault IV on a LEO, Harassment I, Criminal Trespass II, Concealment of Merchandise, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct

    On 07/17/2019, at approximately 0723 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report from Three Bears in Palmer of a male who was shoplifting. Investigation revealed Joseph Kronbach, age 30 of Eagle River, was repeatedly asked to leave the store and was concealing merchandise in his clothing.  When confronted by State Troopers he became combative then assaulted and spit on a Trooper while resisting arrest. Mr. Kronbach was arrested for Assault IV on a LEO, Harassment I, Criminal Trespass II, Concealment of Merchandise, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.  He was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $500 bail.

    On 7/17/19, at 1923 hours, Nenana base Trooper and VPSO made contact with Ronald Campbell age 36 of Nenana.  Investigation determine Campbell had assaulted his girlfriend.  This incident occurred on 7/16/19 and was observed by Nenana Fire Department personnel.  Campbell was arrested and transported to FCC without incident.  Campbell was held on no bail for one count of Assault in the Fourth Degree DV and a Probation Violation.

    Dispatch Text:

    On July 16, 2019 at approximately 5:52pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of an injured hiker on Penguin Ridge.  Ben Seaman, 22 years old of Anchorage, had fallen approximately 30 feet off of a ridge and injured his leg.  AST Helo 3 responded, but could not locate the hiker due to poor weather.  LifeMed was unable to respond due to weather.  The Rescue Coordination Center did not have any air assets available until the next morning.  Volunteers with the Alaska Mountain Rescue Group deployed from the Seward Highway as a Ground Rescue/Medic Team.  At approximately 5:00am on July 17, military air assets became available and extracted the injured hiker from the ridge top and transported him to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

    On 07/16/2019, at approximately 2040 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop at mile 97 of the Sterling Hwy for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Hordemana Candace, age 41 of Soldotna. Investigation revealed Hordemana’s license was revoked for DWLR. Hordemana has two prior DWLR convictions making this a misdemeanor. Hordemana was placed under arrest, transported to Wildwood Pre-Trial.

    On 7/17/2019, at approximately 0425 hours, Leonard Cestaro age 38 from Soldotna, was counter traffic at the Soldotna State Trooper Post. Leonard Cestaro was requesting a police escort to a residence to get his dogs. During the contact with Leonard, AST noticed he had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. Investigation revealed Leonard drove to the Soldotna AST post under the influence of alcohol. Leonard was arrested for DUI and transported to Wildwood Pre-Trial.

    On 7/15/2019 The Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted IVAN NIGHT (AK6866880) on the north side of the Kenai river Dipnetting at 2308 hours. When I requested to see his fishing license and 2019 Kenai personal use dipnet permit he was unable to provide a permit. He was issued two citations:

    5AAC77.540(a)(1) Salmon be taken for personal use only under permit issued by ADF&G

    5AAC77.540(c)(1)(A) Salmon be taken by dip net in the Kenai River from Jul 10-Jul31, 7 day per week, from 06:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

    Bail is set at $220 and $120 respectively
