    Dispatch Text:

    On 07/17/2019 at about 1834 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault in the village of Hydaburg. AST and AWT responded to Hydaburg to investigate.  Investigation revealed that George Peratrovich, age 33 of Hydaburg assaulted another person and stole their wallet before fleeing the residence.  AST and AWT later located Peratrovich who was arrested for Robbery in the 2nd Degree, and Assault in the 4th Degree DV.  Pertrovich was transported and remanded to the Craig Jail with No Bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 07/18/219 at approximately 1601 hours, Glennallen AST conducted a Welfare Check on a female at the Copper River Native Association building. Investigation revealed Jeannette Tyone, 31 yoa, was violating current conditions of release set by the Glennallen Court by being intoxicated by alcohol. The original charges stem from a previous Assault 2nd arrest. Jeannette was arrested, transported and held at the Glennallen court on a $1,000 bail.

    Location: Eagle River
    Type: Search and Rescue

    Dispatch Text:

    On 07/17/2019, at approximately 1448 hours, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a hiker who fell and injured a knee on the Mount Baldy Trail in Eagle River.  Investigation revealed the hiker was unable to continue on his own.  Alaska State Parks Ranger arrived on scene to assess the situation and determined that additional resources were needed due to the extent of the injury and terrain.  The Alaska Mountain Rescue Group (AMRG) was requested and responded with a litter team to assist.  The hiker was transported to the trailhead. The SAR was completed at 1931hrs. Alaska State Troopers would like to thank the State Park Rangers and AMRG for their assistance in this case.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/18/19 at approximately 0045 hours Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance in the MSRMC parking lot in Palmer. AST contacted Jack Hobbs, age 34 of Wasilla who had an outstanding arrest warrant for FTA trial status hearing on the original charges of DUI and Assault 4th. Hobbs was arrested and remanded at MSPT on the warrant. Investigation further revealed Hobbs brought a controlled substance into the facility. He was subsequently charged with MICS 5th and Promoting Contraband 1st. He was remanded with no bail.

    On 7/17/2019, at approximately 2039 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a disturbance off W. Gable Way in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Vincent Ryall, age 27 of Wasilla had assaulted a family member and caused damage to a family member’s vehicle. Ryall was arrested for Assault 4 DV and Criminal Mischief DV. He was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was remanded and held without bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/15/19 at 1100 hours the Alaska State Troopers in Nome received a report of an attempted escape at Anvil Mountain Correctional Center.  The investigation revealed that Kyle Jemewouk, 35 of Elim, had attempted to escape from the yard during outdoor recreation. Jemewouk was injured while climbing the fence and taken to the hospital.  Jemewouk was then sent to Anchorage via medivac.  Jemewouk is being charged with Attempted Escape II.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/15/19, AST received a report that Kirstopher Decker, age 45 of Delta Junction, was stuck on Rainbow mountain along with a 10 year old child.  Decker and the child were unable to ascend of descend the mountain.  RCC was contacted and an Air National Guard helicopter was dispatched.  Decker and the child were hoisted into the helicopter and transported to safety.

    On 7/16/09 at 0538 hours, AST received a report of a male passed out in a car in the roadway.  Jeffrey Lopez, age 48 of Delta Junction was subsequently arrested for Felony DUI.  Lopez was transported to FCC where he was remanded to custody.

    On 7/15/19, at 0134 hours, AST received a report of a male driving a motorcycle intoxicated.  AST responded and subsequently arrested Michael Brown, at 28 of Delta Junction for DUI.  Brown was transported to FCC where he was remanded to custody.

    On 7/18/19, at approximately 0035 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Brown lake and Rabbit Run for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Amy Birk, age 29 of Soldotna. Investigation revealed Birk to have a revoked license. Birk was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving while license revoked.

    On 7/17/2019, at approximately 2203 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on K Beach and Old Settler Rd for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Darrell Oldham, age 58 of Soldotna. Investigation reveled Oldham had placed a license plate from one of his other vehicles to his current vehicle. Oldham was issued a misdemeanor citation.

    Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located two dungeness crab pots in the marine waters near Craig that did not have the required biodegradable escape mechanism per 5AAC75.035.  Investigation showed that the gear was being fished by Scott Forbes, age 64 of Montana.  Forbes was contacted and issued a minor offense citation for the violation.

    Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Mitchell England, age 21 of Klawock, while he was sport fishing for salmon in Neck creek. Investigation showed that England did not have a valid Alaska sport fish license in possession. England was issued a correctable minor offense citation for the violation.

    Update: On 07/17/19 Timothy Sundles and Charles Onsrud pled guilty in the Nenana District Court to one count each of 5AAC92.530 - Special Hunting Restrictions: Dalton Highway Corridor Management Area. Onsrud was sentenced to a $7000 fine with one year of probation and forfeiture of the moose. Sundles was also sentenced to a $7000 fine with six months of probation and forfeiture of his moose as well.

    On 09/13/18 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Timothy Sundles, age 60 of Tendoy ID, and Charles Onsrud, age 36 of Tendoy ID as they rode into Coldfoot from the Chandalar Lake Trail on ATV's. Investigation revealed Sundles and Onsrud were operating ATV's while hunting in and through the Dalton Highway Corridor Management Area after killing two bull moose nearby. They were additionally found to be in possession of an AK DNR sign for the Chandalar Lake Trail. They were issued summons for the corridor violation with a mandatory court date in Nenana District Court on 10/08/18 at 1430 hours. One count of Criminal Mischief 4 will be forwarded to the District Attorney for the theft of the sign.  AWT was assisted by BLM with this case.

    On 7/14/2019 Bryan Sifsof, 38 years old, and Braiden Sifsof, 16 years old, both of Dillingham, AK were cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers during the Bristol Bay Salmon Program for commercial fishing a dual permit vessel during a closed period in the Nushagak District. Arraignment is scheduled in the Dillingham District Court on July 22, 2019.

    Type: Lawful Gear and Gear Specs - Gillnet Not Greater Than 7 and a 1/2 inch Mesh

    Dispatch Text:

    On 07/10/19 at approximately 1227 hours, a Fairbanks-based Alaska Wildlife Trooper contacted Mari Raitto, age 60 of Salcha, while she was fishing with a setnet. Investigation revealed Raitto was participating in the subsistence king salmon fishery which limits setnets to a maximum mesh size of seven and one half inches. Raitto was fishing with an 8 inch mesh setnet. She was issued a summons for the violation with an arraignment date in the Nenana District Court on 08/12/19 at 1430 hours. The net was seized as evidence and one king salmon caught in the net was donated to charity.
