AK17056728Location: TalkeetnaType: DUI
On 08/12/2017 at approximately 0033 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee at mile 13.5 of the Talkeetna Spur for a moving violation. An investigation revealed the driver, Jason Lind, age 39, of Anchorage was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol (DUI). Lind was placed under arrest for DUI, transported and remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer.

AK17056206Location: WillowType: Fugitive from Justice
On 08/11/2017 at approximately 1658 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation, at approximately mile 76 of the Parks Highway in Willow. An investigation revealed the driver, Daniel Lee Williams, age 21 of Palmer, had an extraditable warrant for his arrest in the State of Louisiana for a Probation Violation, original charge of Sex Offence. Williams was placed under arrest for Fugitive from Justice. Williams was transported and held at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer to awaited extradition.

AK17056434Location: WasillaType: DV Assault/Interfere Report DV Crime
On 08/12/2017 at approximately 1755 hours, AST responded to a residence off of Wolverine Ave, Wasilla for reports of an assault. Investigation revealed Troy Donahoo, age 48 of Wasilla had assaulted a family member and taken their phone when they attempted to contact AST. Donahoo was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial where he was booked on charges of DV Assault and Interfering with the Report of a DV Crime and held without bail.

AK17065227Location: Pitkas PointType: A4-DV/Criminal Mischief
On 8/11/17, at approximately 1840 hours, St. Mary’s state troopers received a report of a family disturbance in Pitkas Point, AK. Subsequent investigation revealed Denali Riley-age 21 of Pitkas Point, assaulted family members and damaged their personal property. Riley was arrested and is charged with two counts of Assault in the Fourth Degree-involving Domestic Violence for recklessly causing physical injury to two separate members of her family. Denali Riley is also charged with one count of Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree-involving Domestic Violence for intentionally damaging the property in the amount less than $250. Denali was arrested and is being held pending arraignment. Alcohol is involved.

AK17054696Location: Pilot StationType: DUI/MIW4
On 8-6-17 at 1901 hours, AST in St. Marys received a report of a disturbance in Pilot Station. Subsequent investigation revealed David Francis-age 29, had been operating his vehicle after consuming alcoholic beverages causing him to drive into a ditch. The investigation also revealed David Francis was in possession of a firearm while being impaired by alcohol. Francis was a arrested and transported to St. Mary's for arraignment. Francis is charged with one count each of DUI (2nd offense) and MIW 4th.

AK17056349Location: FairbanksType: DUI
On August 12, 2017 at approximately 12:12 pm, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a disturbance between neighbors. AST contacted Geoffrey Lawinger, age 46 of Fairbanks, at a residence in Fairbanks. Lawinger was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence. Lawinger was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center and held without bail.

AK17056421Location: FairbanksType: Dog Theft
On August 12, 2017 at approximately 5:17 pm, the Alaska State Troopers received the report of a white poodle with black spots stolen or escaped from the Fair in Fairbanks. If anyone has any information about the theft please contact the Alaska State Troopers at 907-451-5100.

AK17056281Location: FairbanksType: Assault 4 DV, DUI, VCOR
On 8/12/17 at 0132 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a 911 call where a male was reporting an assault from a household member. Investigation revealed Amanda Long, 27 year old of Fairbanks, committed the crimes of Assault 4, DUI and violated her conditions of release for a domestic violence crime. Long was arrested and transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was held without bail.

AK17056171Location: FairbanksType: Warrant Arrest
On August 11, 2017 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Alaska State Troopers came in contact with Gregory Curtis, 57 years of age. Further investigation revealed that Gregory had a warrant for a Felony Parole Violation. Gregory was placed under arrest and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

AK17056242Location: NikiskiType: DV Assault IV
On 08/11/2017 at approximately 2032 hours, Soldotna based Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence in the Island Lake Road area of Nikiski for the report of a disturbance. 59-year-old Richard Neveau of Nikiski was contacted during the investigation and was found to have assaulted a female household member. Subsequent to the investigation, Neveau was arrested, transported, and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial on the single charge of Domestic Violence Assault in the Fourth Degree.

AK17056253Location: Whitlock AvenueType: Burglary 1st, Theft 4th
On 8-11-17 at 2134 hours, AST responded to an address near Whitlock after the complainant identified as Betty F. Truesdell, 85 YOA of Soldotna reported her house had been broken into during the day by her grandson Jared J. Herrmann 21 YOA of Fairbanks. Hermann had been arrested on an unrelated incident in the evening and was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial. AST responded to Wildwood Pretrial where an interview was conducted. Herrmann was remanded in-custody on additional charges of Burglary 1st Degree and theft in the 4th Degree.

AK17056305Location: SoldotnaType: Warrant Arrest / MIW III x2 / Hindering Prosecution I x2
On 08/12/2017 at approximately 0614 hours, Soldotna based Alaska State Troopers located 42 year old Aaron Liskey of Kenai at a residence in Soldotna. Liskey had an outstanding $1000 felony warrant for Second Degree Escape. Upon entry to the residence, Liskey jumped out of a 2nd story window and fled on foot. Liskey was taken into custody following a foot pursuit. Liskey, a convicted felon, was additionally found to be in possession of two concealable firearms. During the investigation, 38 year old Hilary Braden and 36 year old Ronald Kier, both of Soldotna, were contacted. Subsequent to the investigation, Aaron Liskey was transported and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial on the outstanding warrant and two counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Third Degree. Both Braden and Kier were arrested, transported, and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial on the charge of Hindering Prosecution in the First Degree.

AK17056433Location: Gas Well Rd.Type: Warrant Arrest x 2
On 8-12-17 at 1812 hours, AST contacted a female pedestrian on Gas Well Road identified as Bridget L. Samson, 27 YOA of Soldotna. Investigation revealed Samson had two outstanding warrants for her arrest totaling the amount of $500.00 for failing to appear to court on original charges of MICS-4th and DWLR. Samson was arrested for the warrants and was transported to Wildwood Pretrial where she was remanded and is currently being held on $500.00 bail.

AK Wildlife Troopers
AK17056426Location: Cape CrossType: Commercial Troll Closed Period
On 8/6/17, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, onboard the P/V Sentry, contacted Ronald Conaster, age 65 of Sitka, captain and permit-holder on the F/V Ida Lee, after observing him commercial power-trolling within the waters of high King salmon abundance between Cape Cross and Yakobi Rock. This area had been closed to commercial trolling by emergency order on 7/5/17. Conaster was issued a strict liability citation for commercial trolling during a closed period and was given a mandatory court date in the District Court at Sitka.

AK17053744Location: Clam GulchType: No Permit Holder on Site/No Photo ID
On 8/3/17 Seth Jaramillo 31 YOA of Littleton, Colorado was issued a citation by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Soldotna Post for commercial fishing with a CFEC Permit but not having his photo identification on him. Bail is set at $310.00 in the Kenai District Court. Also Marcia Schooley 69 YOA of Kasilof, AK, Tawny Osmar 50 YOA of Kenai, AK and William Faulkner 39 YOA of Clam Gulch, AK were issued citations for no permit holder on site while their commercial set gill nets were fishing. Court is set for 8/31/17 at 1330 hours in the Kenai District Court.

On 8/4/17 Daniel Reed 60 YOA of Sterling, AK was issued a citation by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Soldotna Post for False Statement on a License Application x6. Bail is set at $1860.00 in the Kenai District Court.
