    Location: Juneau
    Type: Escape II, Criminal Mischief III

    Dispatch Text:

    Update: The inmate, identified as William Moy, 25 of Juneau, has been charged with two felonies relating to the incident, Escape in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.

    On 08/22/18 at approximately 1433 hours, an Alaska State Troopers (AST) Court Service Officer was transporting multiple inmates back to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center from the Juneau Court in a AST prisoner transport van.  Just prior to Anka Street an 25 year old male inmate kicked out the side security window screen and door window.  The male whom was wearing belly chains and an LCCC inmate uniform then exited through the window and fled on foot.  Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Police Department, and Alaska State Park Rangers responded, established a perimeter, and actively began searching.  The male inmate was being held on multiple counts of Burglary II, Theft II, Criminal Mischief III, Resisting Arrest, MICS IV, Criminal Trespass I, and Theft III.   At approximately 1450 hours, the inmate was located hiding in an abandoned car on Jenkins Drive and taken back into custody without further incident.  Damage to the transport van is estimated to be in excess of $3,000.  The inmate is additionally being charged with Escape and Criminal Mischief.

    On August 23rd, 2018 Alaska State Troopers responded to a Christopher Road address in Ketchikan for a report of an ongoing domestic violence assault. Investigation resulted in the arrest of 30 year old Michael Jessen of Ketchikan. Jessen was transported and remanded to KCC on charges of assault in the 4th degree. No Bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 8/23/18, Alaska State Troopers in the Child Crimes Investigation Unit (CAIU) received a report of juvenile that had been sexually abused.  Investigation determined Ian Binford, 34, of Wasilla had been sexually abusing the juvenile for approximately 10 years.  Binford was contacted by investigators and confessed to the abuse.  He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial facility where he was held without bail for two counts of SAM1 and two counts of SAM 2.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 08/23/18, at approximately 2048 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Jessica Wesley, age 29, of Wasilla, near the intersection of Big Lake Rd. and Lucille Creek Blvd. in Big Lake. Investigation revealed Wesley had a $10,000 arrest warrant for failing to appear for court on an original charge of providing false informaiton to a police office. Wesley was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial. She will be arraigned tomorrow at the Palmer Court House.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 08/22/2018 at approximately 2018 hours, AST responded to a report of a motor vehicle vs. bicycle collision on Bonnie Drive in Palmer. Investigation revealed a 42 year old Palmer male was driving his 1993 BMW on Bonnie Drive when he struck a 36 year old male riding a bike. The bike rider sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in this incident.

    On 08/22/2018 at approximately 1725 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a motor vehicle collision with injury at Bogard Road and Greyling Street. Investigation revealed John Foster age 45 of Wasilla was operating an unauthorized street vehicle and collided with a vehicle that was entering the roadway. Foster was transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Foster was not wearing a helmet. Alcohol or drugs were not a factor.

    On 08/22/2018 at approximately 1700 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a Burglary from a storage unit on Fattic Drive in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) forcefully gained entry into a single storage unit on the property and stole approximately $500 worth of household items.     Type: Vehicle Theft 1st, Agency Assist

    UPDATE to AK18059593:

    On 08-22-18, at 1928 hours, AST was contacted by a resident reporting their maroon Ford Explorer was stolen from an address off Highland Dr in Wasilla.  The Ford was locked and had no keys in it.  A locate for the Ford was aired to law enforcement in the Palmer/Wasilla area.  At 2304 hours, Wasilla Police located the Ford and attempted a traffic stop.  The Ford failed to stop for Wasilla who pursued it until the driver fled on foot in the area of Cottle Lp.  AST responded and assisted with setting up a perimeter.  Wasilla's K9 located the driver who was identified as Zackery R. Cornelius-Vincent, age 23, of Big Lake and taken into custody.  Zackery was charged with vehicle theft in the first degree.  Wasilla Police charged Zackery with crimes related to their pursuit.  Zackery was also remanded on two additional warrants by WPD.  Zackery was held pending arraignment.   

    Original:

    On 8/19/18, at 2318 hours, Troopers stopped a 2008 Honda Accord leaving the scene of a stabbing off Sylvan and Hollywood.  The driver, later positively identified as Zackery Ryan Cornelius-Vincent, 23 yoa of Big Lake; initially refused to identify himself and matched the description of the suspect in the stabbing.  When other Troopers arrived to assist, Vincent accelerated away from the stop nearly crushing a Trooper between his car and the patrol vehicle.  A brief pursuit ensued during which Vincent drove over 100 mph and failed to stop at major intersections.  Vincent crashed his car off the east end of Hollywood Road and fled into the woods on foot.  After an extensive search he was not located.  Zackery R. Cornelius-Vincent was found to have two outstanding warrant for original charges of Vehicle Theft and Failure to Stop for Police.  An additional warrant will be sought for new charges of Assault 3 on a police officer and Failure to Stop in the First Degree.  Anyone with information on Cornelius-Vincent's whereabouts is asked to contact AST at 907-352-5401.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 8/23/2018 at approximately 0001 hours, Alaska State Troopers performed a traffic stop on a green 2000 GMC Sierra for a moving violation near the Parks Highway and Lucus Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Kody Brys, age 30 of Wasilla, was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Brys was convicted of two prior DUI within the past 10 years. Brys was arrested at the scene for Felony DUI along with Felony Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Brys was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held without bail.

    On 08/23/18 at approximately 0022 hours, Tok AST was on patrol and observed an intoxicated male, passed out on the side of the Three Bears Motel in Tok. Subsequent investigation revealed the male to be 27 year old Tok resident, Andrew David. David was placed under arrest as he is trespassed from all Three Bears property for harassment. David was also on conditions of release, which he violated by committing criminal trespass 2. David was held at Tok jail pending arraignments.

    Update: David was released O/R and placed on another set of conditions of release.

    On 8-22-18 at 0950 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Colton Douglas, age 24 of Seward, on Nautical Avenue.  Investigation revealed Douglas had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for theft.  Douglas was arrested and remanded to Seward Jail with a 250.00 dollar bail.

    On 8-21-18 at 1200 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault.  Seward AST contacted a female who reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend earlier in the morning off Nash Road.  AST interviewed the female along with Devin Loomis, age 35 of Seward.  Investigation revealed Loomis committed the crime of assault in the 4th degree.  Loomis was arrested and remanded to Seward Jail with no bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 8-22-18, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Joseph Mcghee, age 29 of Anchorage, after he reported accidently shooting two caribou while hunting off the Denali Highway near the Susitna River in a caribou draw hunt limited to one caribou per person. Mcghee's second caribou was seized and he was issued a mandatory appearance summons into Palmer District Court. The meat was donated to a charity.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 8/22/2018 Alaska Wildlife Troopers based in King Salmon contacted Kelly Livingston, 37 of Honolulu, HI and Erica Sadowski, 24 of Anchorage, AK while they were sport fishing on the Naknek River.  Both Livingston and Sadowski were using multiple hooks in waters restricted to the use of single hooks.  They were each issued a citation for Sport Fishing with treble hooks in waters restricted to single hooks.  Bail was each set at $110 through the Naknek Court.

    On 8/17/18, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Raymond Jones, age 26 of Juneau, after observing him snagging where prohibited at DIPAC.  Further investigation revealed that Jones had obtained a resident 5A low-income license when he was not qualified.  Jones was issued a $110.00 citation for snagging where prohibited, and a $310.00 citation for making a false statement on a license application.  Both citations were issued in the District Court at Juneau.

    On 8/19/18, at approximately 2135 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Moala Pasi, age 60 of Juneau, at DIPAC after observing him casting a snagging hook within 150' of the Wayside Park Dock which is closed to snagging.  Pasi was issued a $110.00 citation in the District Court at Juneau for snagging where prohibited.

    On 8/22/18, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Gerald Voss, age 59 of Juneau, after observing him casting into the waters closed to sport fishing near the DIPAC fish ladder.  Voss was issued a $110.00 citation for sport fishing closed waters in the District Court at Juneau.
