    Dispatch Text:

    On 8/4/18 at 1621 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at the Milepost 49 Parks Highway, Holiday Gas Station in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed Paige Marie Alden, age 27 of Wasilla assaulted a family member while the family member was operating a motor vehicle down the Parks Highway.  Additionally Alden was on Conditions of Release on a separate incident.  Alden was subsequently arrested for Assault IV (DV), Reckless Endangerment (DV), and Violating Conditions of Release.  Alden was transported to and remanded in MSPT with no bail till arraignments.

    On 8/3/18 at approximately 1733 hours, Alaska State Troopers received the report of a missing hiker in the area of Skyscraper Ridge of Hatchers Pass. Multiple search and rescue assets from AST and Mat-Su Borough Emergency Services were deployed to the scene. The hiker, identified as Zachary Campbell, age 18 of Wasilla, was located deceased. Preliminary investigation determined Campbell died of injuries sustained from a fall off an elevated position on the ridgeline. Campbell’s remains were removed and transferred to the State Medical Examiner’s Office. Campbell’s next of kin were notified while on scene.

    On 08/04/18, at approximately 0046 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a shirtless adult male running in and out of traffic near the round about on S. Big Lake Rd. in Big Lake. Investigation revealed Thomas Asila, age 33, of Anchorage, was under the influence of alcohol and had a $500.00 misdemeanor arrest warrant for failing to appear on an original charge of DUI. Asila was arrested and remanded to the Anchorage Jail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 8/3/18 at approximately 2325 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a motor vehicle collision on Palmer Fishhook near Ryder Rd in Palmer. Investigation revealed there was a single vehicle collision and the driver Tangi Henry age 24, of Palmer was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where her bail was set at OR.

    On 08/04/2018 at approximately 2244 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance on S Territorial Drive in Wasilla. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Rodney Rainey, age 56 of Wasilla had physically assaulted a family member. The Rodney was taken into custody and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial

    On 8/3/18 at approximately and in 1715 hrs. AST received a 911 call reporting that Owen Hagland, age 25, of Utah was stuck in the mud at the base of the Thunderbird Falls after attempting to climb Thunderbird Falls and falling. The Alaska Mountain Rescue Group was notified and was able to extract Hagland from the mud. Other than being cold Hagland reported no injuries.

    On 08/03/2018 at approximately 1927 hours AST responded to the report of a trespass on Finsbury Lane in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Jennie Haas-Thompson, age 29, of Wasilla had previously been trespassed from the property. Haas-Thompson was arrested for Criminal Trespass 1 and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where she was later released on her own recognizance.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 8/04/18 at 0715 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a home on Serrano Drive in Wasilla for a report of CPR in progress by EMS on a 57 year old male. Troopers arrived and was advised the male was deceased. Investigation revealed Daniel Harrison of Wasilla had passed away during the night due to natural causes. The State Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and responded to the home.  A local funeral home also responded and assisted the family in making final arraignments. Next of Kin were on scene and no foul play is suspected.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 8/4/18 at approximately 1030 hours, the Alaska State Troopers from Emmonak were notified of an assault which had occurred at a local residence a few hours earlier.  Investigation revealed that Curtis Agathluk 21 Y.O.A. of Emmonak went to his home where he resides with his uncle and struck his uncle in the head several times.  The uncle sustained multiple cuts and bruising to his face and was treated and released at the Emmonak Clinic.  Curtis is still at large, alcohol was a factor.

    On 8/4/18 at approximately 1100 hours, the Alaska State Troopers from Emmonak were notified of an assault which had occurred in Emmonak a few hours earlier.  Investigation revealed that Curtis Agathluk 21 Y.O.A. of Emmonak was consuming alcohol with his 2nd cousin and struck his cousin in the face knocking him unconscious.  Agathluk then grabbed his cousin by the shoulders and beat his head on a wooden floor several times.  The uncle sustained multiple cuts, bruising and swelling to his face, eyes, ears and to his head.  The cousin was treated at the Emmonak Clinic and then transported to YKHC in Bethel for further treatment.  Curtis is still at large, alcohol was a factor.

    UPDATE:  Amy Gales was located safe in Kodiak on 8/4/18 at 2130 hours. 

    On August 4, 2018 the Alaska State Troopers were contacted in regards to a missing person in Kodiak. Preliminary investigation revealed Amy Gales, a 29 year old Native female of Anchorage, was last seen in Buskin River Campground at 0500 hours on 08/04/2018. Amy is approximately 5'3". Amy was last seen wearing a purple jacket, gray pants, and carrying an orange purse. Anyone with information about Amy's whereabouts is asked to contact the Kodiak AST post at 907-486-4121; reference case number AK18055473.

    On 8/4/18 at approximately 0929 hours, Alaska State Troopers received the report of a burglary at a residence in Moose Pass. Investigation revealed sometime between 6/1/18 and 8/4/18 an unknown person(s) forcefully entered the residence and stole items. The residence is owned by Boyd Shaffer, age 68 of Anchorage.     Dispatch Text:

    On 7/22/2018 at approximately 2201 hours, Soldotna Troopers responded to a 911 open line verbal disturbance at approximately mile 164 of the Sterling Hwy. A male and female were yelling at each other. Investigation revealed there was no assault, but the male who was later identified as William Emmert age 59 from Anchor Point was impaired by alcohol. William drove to the area in a Ford truck. William Emmert was arrested for DUI.

    On 7/22/2018 at approximately 1442 hours, Soldotna Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet sedan at mile 151 of the Sterling Hwy. Investigation revealed the passenger Thomas Asila age 33 from Hooper Bay, had an outstanding warrant for parole violation. Thomas Asila was remanded with no bail to Wildwood Pretrial.

    On 8/4/18 at approximately 1406 hours, Soldotna AST responded to a disturbance in Sterling. Investigation revealed Ann Graybeal age 51 from sterling, assault a individual and broke items at the residence. Ann Graybeal was arrested for domestic violence Assault 4, Criminal Mischief 3, and Criminal Mischief 4. Ann Graybeal was remanded to WWPT.

AK Wildlife Troopers

    Location: Juneau - Sweetheart Creek
    Type: Fail To Possess Personal Use Permit - Limitations On Halibut

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/28/18, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau Post, contacted Joshua Schuon, age 38 of Juneau, as he was returning to his vessel in Gilbert Bay near Sweetheart Creek.  Investigation revealed that Schuon had caught and retained personal use Sockeye salmon, but had failed to obtain a personal use permit as required.  Further investigation revealed that Schuon was in possession of halibut that had been disfigured/mutilated in violation of NOAA regulations.  Schuon was issued a $210.00 citation for failing to possess a personal use permit.  Schuon was also issued a strict liability citation for limitations on halibut.  Both citations were issued in the District Court at Juneau.  Schuon has a mandatory court appearance.  The halibut that was in violation was seized and later donated to a charity.
