On 07/06/18 at approximately 1740 hours a Fairbanks-based Alaska Wildlife Trooper contacted Rosemary Wiehl, age 56 of Rampart, while she was subsistence fishing for king salmon. Investigation revealed Wiehl was utilizing a subsistence net with 7 1/2" mesh where the limit was 6" mesh or smaller. Wiehl was issued a summons for the violation in the Fort Yukon District Court with an arraignment date of 08/23/18 at 1300 hours.
