On 01/03/2019 at approximately 0159 hours, Alaska State Troopers attempted to stop a 4-wheeler which was operating on the Parks Highway as it turned onto S. Elizabeth Street, Wasilla. The 4-wheeler took off a high rate of speed running stop signs and ignoring the Trooper’s lights and siren. The traffic stop was terminated, and the 4-wheeler continued. Troopers were able to follow the 4-wheeler tracks; eventually locating it at a residence off of Mission Hills Drive in Wasilla. Troopers positively identified Jeremy Schulz, age 38 of Wasilla as the driver and located the 4-wheeler hiding behind a truck on the property. Troopers were unable to positively identify who owns the 2016 red Arctic Cat 500 so it was impounded pending proof of ownership. Schulz was issued a criminal citation with a mandatory court date for Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer 2nd.
