On January 4, 2019, at about 1309 hours, Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers and a US Forestry Law Enforcement Officer contacted 34 year old Angelina McDonald of Ketchikan, at a residence near mile 8 of the North Tongass Highway. Subsequent investigation revealed McDonald was in violation of her court ordered conditions of release. Further investigation revealed that McDonald was aiding Jason Simpson, age 35 of Ketchikan, in avoiding apprehension who had multiple outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. Simpson was taken into custody on the warrants and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center. McDonald was taken into custody and charged with Hindering Prosecution in the 1st Degree, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, and 3 counts of Violating Conditions of Release. Both were held pending arraignments.
