On 1/9/2019 at approximately 1320 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Wasilla received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Wesseling Circle. Investigation revealed 62 year old William Copeland burglarized a residence and assaulted someone at a neighboring residence. Troopers located Copeland after he left the scene. Copeland had been armed with several firearms during the burglary, one of which was stolen. Additionally, Copeland was driving under the influence of alcohol. Troopers arrested Copeland and charged him with Burglary, Theft, Assault, DUI, and Misconduct Involving Weapons. Copeland was remanded at Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was held without bail.
