Training

The Alaska Scientific Crime Detection Laboratory offers classes throughout the year and upon special request to law enforcement and attorneys. Tours of the lab are scheduled throughout the year for the community.

If you are interested in requesting training for your agency please contact the Training and Outreach Coordinator, Charles Foster at dps.train.coordinate@alaska.gov or 907-269-5760. Below is a list of classes offered by the Crime Lab Employees that are APSC Certified. Some of these classes can be tailored to the needs of your agency upon request. Law Enforcement is given registration priority.

The lab does offer tours upon request and availability of staff. If you would like to join a tour contact the Training and Outreach Coordinator, Charles Foster at dps.train.coordinate@alaska.gov or 907-269-5760. Tours generally last one to two hours and are scheduled approximately two times a month.
