Report employee conduct

At the Alaska Department of Public Safety, our mission is simple: Ensuring public safety across Alaska.

That mission depends on trust, professionalism, and accountability in every interaction.

We are committed to treating all people with dignity and respect, and to holding our employees to the highest standards of conduct. Your feedback, both positive and critical, is essential to maintaining that standard and strengthening public trust.

If you have interacted with a member of the Department, we want to hear from you.

Commend an employee

When an employee demonstrates professionalism, compassion, or exceptional service, we encourage you to let us know. Recognizing great work helps reinforce the values we expect across our Department.

You can submit a commendation by:

  • Completing the Notice of Employee Conduct form
  • Contacting a supervisor at any DPS office or Trooper post
  • Writing to the Commissioner’s Office or your local Detachment

Report a Concern

If you believe an employee’s conduct was inappropriate, unprofessional, or did not meet our standards, we take those concerns seriously.

You can report a concern by:

  • Requesting to speak with a supervisor at any DPS office or Trooper post
  • Contacting the Office of Professional Standards (OPS)
  • Submitting a Notice of Employee Conduct form (PDF)

All complaints are reviewed and investigated in a timely, fair, and impartial manner. Our goal is to ensure accountability, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain the integrity of our services.
