With only 90 Alaska Wildlife Troopers covering the entire state, we need your help protecting Alaska’s word class fish and wildlife resources. Report wildlife violations, including poaching, illegal fishing, illegal trapping, or any suspected wildlife law violation, to help hold violators accountable and protect Alaska’s natural resources for future generations.
 
 

Patrol

Troopers provide frontline law enforcement services across Alaska, responding to calls and protecting communities statewide.

Wildlife Investigations Unit

Specialized investigators handle serious and complex cases, including commercial fishing, residency, and guide investigations. 

Vessel Section

DPS utilizes 17 vessels that range in size from 25′ to 165′ to patrol Alaska’s coastlines and resources.

Search and Rescue

Troopers coordinate and conduct search and rescue operations to locate and assist people in distress across Alaska’s vast terrain.
